Just wanted to make sure I've got this right...
Throwing Knife, an ability that takes some actual skill to land a headshot in PVP can't come close to killing in one hit, gets a damage nerf. Tripmines, which already could be survived by high armor targets not only lose the ability to stick, but get a damage nerf as well. Throwing Knife is also, in case you forgot Bungie, on a cooldown. Striker titans running rampant shoulder charging in small corridors making it so you can't turn a corner unless you bring a shotgun...that's just fine. No cooldown needed. Why bother, right? Between that and fists of panic why bother putting in some actual thought? This might shock the crap out of you, but I don't WANT to use a shotgun in PVP just to counter something you clearly don't know what to do with. I don't know who makes your balancing decisions, but fire them. And fix it. The sheer number of striker titans let loose on the game during this most recent Iron Banner was disgusting.
Oh, and I might add that there is no point in your statement that tripmines are supposed to be a 'smart' grenade that you place to kill people if they're going to survive the stupid thing anyway. What is wrong with you?

Modificato da Angelis101: 7/10/2016 4:37:16 PMTrip mines do 197 damage (from what I've seen). In IB or trials they still 1 hit kill people with 5 less light than you. Although impossible, my medium Armor hunter and warlock have been 1 hit by them to thus day somehow in normal crucible. So I'm not sure what to take on this. Maybe I took phantom damage from something. Or I'm just unlucky. I use 2 knives and the reset perk. Throwing knife headshot is 137 damage give or take and a body shot I'd 100 or so. I nail people in the head all the time and all it takes is 1 hand cannon shot usually to push my kill through. I almost never run out of throwing knives when I play smart. Also it got 3% damage nerf, THREE PRECENT. Which might equate to 5 damage. The only thing this did was prevent low Armor targets from dieing to 1 throwing knife because of burn damage. Which was a thing. On a side note it's important to know that a throwing knife isn't a class ability, it's a class meelee. So yes it's on a cool down. And it needs to be. Honestly I'm just tired of shoulder charge killing me while I'm arc blade, titans shotgun punching me faster than I can punch once, or defenders whoring shotguns to abuse no Backup plans. This is what I'm tired of.

Throwing knife can land across the map, shoulder charge you must run to charge it up, but your not able to shoot an people when running at them, you can't shoot at them while sprinting unless if you stop and start shooting which you will already be a disadvantage, and you can use grenades unless if you stop and throw them, it's very easy to counter shoulder charge

2 RisposteModificato da meta: 7/8/2016 1:39:29 PMRiddle me this. If your not a titian with shoulder charge then WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN SMALL/TIGHT CORRADORS WITHOUT A SHOTGUN. just curious
-
13 RisposteDon't want to run a shotgun don't. Nothing's stopping you. Just pay attention to your radar and my knee won't hit you in the back. You just gotta be aware that's all. And it hasn't been touched since the beginning of the game I doubt that they'll change it now.

I was think the same thing...they nerf throwing knife which is hard to get headshot with but keep shoulder charge which is easy to kill...u can even run against a wall to charge ur shoulder charge lol...

I think this is the problem honestly. With the recent "patch," to a majority of the hunter sub-classes, and a small amount to the warlock sub-classes, two new sub-classes seem to rank supreme on Destiny at the current moment. The Striker and the Stormcaller. Both have insane abilities. Stormcaller being able to get you a kill right off the bat if your using Impossible Machines, or you have that node on, and a blinking ability that makes it as hard as ever to land shots. Striker has a one hit kill melee, lightening grenades, and a shield, and are pretty much near impossible to kill when activating their super. Why are they suddenly a problem? Thing that have been keeping them in line have been nerfed, so with classes being 'fixed,' people no longer use Sunsinger, but rather Stormcaller. Striker has always been popularly used since the Hammer was patched into oblivion. In all honesty, shoulder charge doesn't need a nerf, (fix the sliding glitch though,) we just need to rebuff certain classes so their usage can be increased.

3 RisposteIt does have a cooldown.

10 RisposteDidn't read the rest of your post only the title. With that said Throwing Knives didn't take skill. They have an IMMENSE amount of magnetism. They literally curve in the air.

Modificato da TheArtist: 7/8/2016 1:10:21 PMSummary: The whole world should change so that I get to stay the same. ...and If I have to change the whole world should have to change too. Out of sheer spite. In the right situation.... ...Oh why even bother to explain it. You just want to whine.

3 RisposteShoulder charge is not a difficult thing to counter. If you're constantly being killed by shoulder charge in tight corridors, stop doing that. Fixed.

22 RisposteSo nerfing trip mine and knife slightly is not ok but destroying Sun-Singers is completely OK? While I agree that hunters nerfs need to be reverted I don't agree on nerfing shoulder charge. Shoulder charge rewards aggressive play style and Trip mine/Throwing knifes used to reward good aim Please I under stand that nerfing you favorite sub-class its frustrating but asking for nerfs is even worst.
how do you think I feel that my favorite subclass Sunsinger since vanilla got destroyed plus all warlocks have -1 armor after the update that's less armor
nerfs are bad we should call for buffs
-
3 RisposteIt's harder to die to a Shoulder Charge than it is to a Throwing Knife. You need to let a Titan sprint into your face for free to get killed by Shoulder Charge, while Thorowing Knives are long-distance attacks that can deal DoT.
-
To be honest, neither shoulder charge (without Peregrine Greaves), throwing knives, nor tripmines have ever been very good in PvE.

I BUMP THIS

4 RisposteDon't throwing knives basically work exactly the same as they used to, except against low-armored opponents? Like 1-2 shots and a Knife will still kill someone yes? The tripmine nerf didn't make sense to me, but if this was the direction they wanted to go, they need to get rid of the big red 'DON'T WALK HERE' light that tripmines leave off. That way you could be much more sneaky with your deployment. Maybe extend their duration, but I've never really played gunslinger so I don't even know off the top of my head how long one lasts without ahamkara's spine.
-
7 RisposteThis post needs a serious BUMP BUMP for bumps sake. -blam!-ing shoulder charge is cheap as -blam!- and throwing knives require a head shot. Shoulder sht shouldn't kill in one.
-
It's not Bungie's fault, it was all the babies crying for a nerf. I think it wasn't needed and I don't even play a hunter.
-
So your saying you want to nerf a subclass just because you don't want to carry a shotty. Get real, you do realize Striker is a high risk, in your face subclass and the SC/Shotty strategy has the highest risk of all. You are completely exposed while your charging it and before contact when your stuck in animation. I don't know how many times I was face palmed by a Warlock mid SC and killed or killed while charging SC or take a shotty to the face mid SC. That's partly why I don't run it anymore.
-
Good luck hitting a shoulder charge against a shotgunner or somebody who is good with a fusion rifle. You dont have to get up close and personal with a throwing knife. You can just throw and go.
-
17 RisposteThrowing knives have tracking. They don't take skill
-
Skill? Dude it is NOT that hard to land a headshot.
-
7 RisposteThrowing knives are fine only real Gunslingers can pull off a head shot kill which is good because not many people know how to use them. As for shoulder charge suck it up that scout sniper combo on your Warlock is just asking to be rushed. You should pick your weapon combos to better complement each other. Beside your melee you have little to no CQC try combos like scout shot fusion or side arm.

Awwwwwww.

8 RisposteShoulder charge has a cool down. And it takes a few secounds for them to get it.
