So I grew up in the country and always had guns, from a pellet gun to a .22 rifle and then up to 12 gauge shotgun. My wife, on the other hand, is a city girl who has never even seen a gun up close with one exception - she worked at a restaurant and got robbed at gunpoint once. I haven't owned a gun in 6 years, and I'm wanting to get back into sport shooting again. I also want my wife to join me at the range and teach her how to properly handle a weapon and defend herself. I've found an exceptional deal on ruger sr9e, and would love to buy it, but she's adamant about not wanting a gun in the house. Any advice on how to get her to be a little more rational about it?
