We've seen the common suggestion that we could just add more power to the less successful Classes. Our concern is that this would eventually make the game way too lethal and chaotic overall. We want you to feel powerful when you're playing Destiny. At the same time, we want to make sure that you still have the time you need to react and make tactical decisions when you are engaged in combat.
Bungie... I DON'T feel powerful. Last time I really felt powerful was back in Year One when I used my Gjallerhorn to melt the story Skolas in three shots. THAT was the last time I felt powerful in this game. Last time before that was when Hand Cannons packed a real whallop and perks felt to me like they meant something,.
Now a lot of people would say these were OP. Yeah, I guess so. But it was the last time I personally felt powerful. My Year 2 Void Bow never felt powerful to me, even at it's hieght. My hand cannons feel like peashooters and my rockets feel weak.
But I'm not here to talk about OP vs UP or PVP vs PVE or anything like that.
Instead I want to ask you all a question:
When was the last time YOU felt Powerful? Why is that?

The last time anyone felt truly powerful was year one, because while it had its flaws (ehem thorn last word esc) mostly just things that could not be countered but the meta was still fun, Pve was in a state where it was both hard core hard when playing raids and night falls but at the same time you felt immensely powerful with the top notch gear. Then bungie decided they should nerf everything into the ground, change all the sub classes and just make everything more time consuming in pve's case or more bland in pvp'S case. It's a shame, I really enjoyed year one, it's flaws made things interesting. And they keep nerfing my damn fusion rifles when other than me hardly nobody uses them! Bungies balancing team could learn something from Riot( the creator of league of legends) and while they are far from perfect, their balancing makes sense. When things get nerfed, further enhance their weakness, not take away their strength (ehem gunslingers) when buffing make sure to add to the core of the champion, or in this case class ( like the night stalker nerf/buff I felt everything in that balance was valid) that's all in my opinion. I was chatting with my co trials Sherpa last night about it. If you read the rant congrats, I did not spell check so please don't burn me for it. Have a good day all, happy hunting.

Back when Fatebringer melted anything that dared to exist in my line of sight. When the Black Hammer could stun lock anything until the heat death of the universe. When field scout was the best perk in the game. When I brought Skolas down on a solar burn week. But my favorite one was when my Mythoclast could two shot people from across the map and clear a lobby faster than a plague. Good times

When we had elemental primaries and everything wasn't nerfed to hell
-
Year 1 prenerf mythoclast

2 RisposteVex Mythoclast = pvp lobby gets empty XD

I felt powerful when sunsinger was viable because over shield actually worked and hand cannons could actually register shots So HoW

1 RispondiPulse rifle meta. I was wrecking everything lol. It was very unusual for me not to be topping the leaderboards in those times...now. Now things are so different lol. I'm still good at PvP but I will never be as good if you know what I mean...rip reflection sum.
-
3 RisposteI used to be good at Crucible for awhile back in "Dark Below" and "House of Wolves"....Then, the Skill Based Matchmaking came out, and I was at times thrown into matches against an entire team of Trials players.
-
Back at Y1... Every weapon even pulse rifle pre-buff makes me feel like I can handle everything. Until... You know what happens after the TTK patches launched...
-
1 RispondiLast time I felt powerful is when we were getting our new subclasses what the hell happened? That was probably one of the best missions in the game
-
There was the time me and 2 friends went to intro trials just for shiz and giggles, just to finish up a gold tier. We encounter a team of MAX LIGHT PLAYERS, ONE OF EACH CLASS, WITH MATCHING SHADERS AND EMBLEMS, AND FULL TRIALS GEAR AND GUNS. We just kind of cowered in fear for a while until we somehow won 5-4. They each had KD's of around 2, so we felt freaking amazing.
