We've seen the common suggestion that we could just add more power to the less successful Classes. Our concern is that this would eventually make the game way too lethal and chaotic overall. We want you to feel powerful when you're playing Destiny. At the same time, we want to make sure that you still have the time you need to react and make tactical decisions when you are engaged in combat.
Bungie... I DON'T feel powerful. Last time I really felt powerful was back in Year One when I used my Gjallerhorn to melt the story Skolas in three shots. THAT was the last time I felt powerful in this game. Last time before that was when Hand Cannons packed a real whallop and perks felt to me like they meant something,.
Now a lot of people would say these were OP. Yeah, I guess so. But it was the last time I personally felt powerful. My Year 2 Void Bow never felt powerful to me, even at it's hieght. My hand cannons feel like peashooters and my rockets feel weak.
But I'm not here to talk about OP vs UP or PVP vs PVE or anything like that.
Instead I want to ask you all a question:
When was the last time YOU felt Powerful? Why is that?

The obvious answer is before TTK dropped.

Last time I felt powerful mmmmmmmmm? I was a young single man!

1 RispondiLiterally all the time in PvE. Bad Juju on Nightstalker w/ Black Hole, Courage of the Pack, a solid and reliable heavy weapon, and Skyburner's Annex results in the ability to super just about every group of adds in PvE while double-dipping your own super with Heavy Kills. Likewise, Bad Juju on Voidwalker w/ Shatter, The Hunger, and Embrace the void with your choice of Voidfang Vestiments with Axion Bolt, Nothing Manacles with Scatter Grenade, The Ram or Claws of Dire Ahamkara with Soul Rip, or just Obsidian Mind for super level obnoxiousness. Seriously, Voidwalker is amazing in PvE right now. Lastly, and this one is pretty unexpected, Sunbreaker w/ Boolean Gemini and Armamentarium running Fleetfire, Fusion Grenades, and Simmering Flames. This sounds like a waste until you try it for yourself. Throw in Suncharge and you have an utterly amazing and thrilling build for PvE and PvP that lets you rock your agility up to 20 (if using Titan Codex 3 and 6). You are only as powerful as you think you are and that is key. If you're not having fun, you feel weak. Maybe you should consider what you need to do to enjoy playing again.

2 RisposteAnybody try CoE this week with voidwalker rocking nothing mantacles? Felt pretty powerful. How about obsidian mind in the same instance on a grip of tethered adds almost fully recharging your super? Felt pretty powerful there. Flame titan filling a grenade every 6 seconds wearing armamentarium while that grenadier was active, Damn powerful.

2 weeks before the ttk. As a titan sunbro for 6 weeks.

I always say this but the OG vex mytho

I felt powerful when I got a 117 headshot with a last word, or when I killed a nightfall boss with a few gjallahorn shots

1 RispondiY1 nightfalls. They had a burn every time, and I didn't blink once. Vision, hammer, hollahorn? Cool. Fate, verdict, thunderlord? Neat. Word of crota, plug.one, hunger of crota? Sure. I was a fücking monster, no matter what they threw at me. Now I'm emptying a full primary clip into "shielded enemies appear more often and in greater numbers" hoping that the enemy AI won't kick in and hide when their shields get low. Way to go Luke and company, keep your great ideas coming. Y3 destiny: emoting at the darkness until it gets its feelings hurt and retreats, because all your guns are useless.

Beginning of H.O.W.

Year one just before the ttk dropped. Cryptic Dragon scout rifle. Lord of wolves. Sawtooth Ocilator. I could go into just about any strike/nightfall and wreck shop with that loadout.

When I unlocked the grenade in the very first level

When I went super saiyan.

1 Rispondi
When did you last feel powerful?
While running heroic strikes the other night as a Stormcaller. Holy crap was that fun!
-
Anytime I go into the Prison of Elders. I lose all regard for my (character's) mortality and essentially go on a mass killing spree. I usually end up with both the most deaths and the most kills
-
Last time i felt powerful was year 1 with blink besides that nope.

Bungie king of stupid excuses and bull- 2016

The only time I feel powerful is when I pull out my dank drinker

When Thorn and Felwinter's were my go to guns wether I was playing PvE or PvP.
