So you want one unimpeachable supreme leader (lil kim *cough cough*) and are focused on government when we've got alien hordes more advanced than us wanting to kick our asses?
Yeah makes no sense.
You go on focusing on government while the darkness tears down our walls, meanwhile the vanguard, DO, and FWC will actually be doing something about it.

1 RispondiDead orbit would make humanity then new fallen. Future war cult are stuck focusing on survival (they really believe in lining the pockets of the foundries by profiting from the guardians need to defend the city). New monarchy believe in the great civilization that humanity used to be and want to restore it, which could only be done by a decisive higharchy to take a strong lead against the darkness.

I've read only a little lore on New Monarchy. It seems it was the first and/or only faction to reach the lighthouse. One of their members started having hallucinations and weird moments of deja vu.
