Easily some of the most annoying enemies I've encountered. Didn't mind them so much before but after that Winters Run nightfall....ugh.

I actually had to reload my Bad Juju once because those goddamn Taken thrall would ... keep... tele...porting... stop... moving.... so ...I .. can .. SHOOT ... YOU
-
It is definitely a pain with 7 freakin slap/line rifles tracking your every step from way downtown!

I have a theory on why the Taken are annoying as all hell. So as to provoke the player to hate the Taken as much as your character is supposed to, they're intentionally aggravating. Eventually, after hours of dealing with Axion Dart spam, Goblins making everything around them invulnerable, Psions spamming themselves, etc, you'll despise them. It's just a theory, though.

It's dumb. How much longer are they going to be in our solar system? We've killed Oryx. And Malok. They aren't even a challenge, it's just annoying to fight 3 psions that randomly split into 300, or phalanxes that want to launch you back to orbit.

I just hate the ones that shoot blights

Not just Destiny, but a lot of games have used those "shadow enemies". They are popular with programmers cuz they are easy to create, take less memory and cause less bugging. Believe me, the gaming world have indulged themselves with these lazy characters.

No, you're not, I really dislike the taken as well. Especially the captains and psions.
-
No, a lot of people dislike them. I don't care making tougher enemies, but why does that have to mean plain annoyance?
-
A nuisance they are, truly no fun fighting them.
-
I don't like them either and neither do a lot of people.
