This is great news for the game coming into Year 3!
In doing this, Bungie has free'd themselves from last gen hardware and is able to deliver great content going into Year 3.
This means more, wait for it 'Vault Space' Possible custom matches etc, character recreation, amazing polished graphics, possible weather patterns in pve and pvp, being able to add live events with a breeze and being able to add in content dlc or content for Year 3 without last gen holding us back.
Year 3 is shaping up to be an awesome year.
Again sorry last gen but it had to be done.
I own a PS4 since year 1 so I'm good.

3 RisposteNow we can have 120 vs 120 crucible matches

9 RisposteAgreed. For every one of you clowns rattling off about 'priorities', and how they prevent you from upgrading to the current systems...it works both ways. If priorities keep you from being able to afford/wanting to buy a new system, then you shouldn't care that Destiny is leaving out-dated technology behind. After all, you have other priorities.
-
3 RisposteShouldn't the game be able to run on 60 foes and stop those loading screens in patrol?
-
3 RisposteYour forgetting the people on last gen who were day 1 players who god damm preorded the game.
-
It is a great job. People have had years to save money for a ps4 or xbone and still want to complain about last gen getting left behind. If you aren't invested in gaming enough to save like $10 a week for a new console, you have no right to complain when you get left behind.
-
4 RisposteBungie has ran the numbers and decided the revenue generated from legacy console owners would not equal the cost of creating content for legacy console owners. It makes sense to move forward with creating content for current gen consoles only. From a business perspective.
-
I was on PS3 at the start, but I upgraded with TTK because I knew old gen wouldn't last long.
-
I do feel bad but it was the right and only choice

11 RisposteModificato da OhtheHugeManity: 6/11/2016 11:40:55 AMWhilst it allows Destiny to advance, I feel they shouldn't have done it with RoI. Destiny as a game (not a franchise,) started on last gen as well. It feels like a dick move to exclude last gen from getting the final piece of the game. I think they should've finished Destiny on last gen too, but then start Destiny 2 on only current gen.
-
I'm not mad or upset about anything, but didn't they say silver purchases would fund future DLC? Must not have sold enough silver
-
I am fine with them leaving last gen behind. It needed to happen. However, we better be able to see why this happened when rise of iron drops. If we don't get a big vault space addition, better emotes, etc etc etc, then I will be upset

12 Risposte
This is great news for the game coming into Year 3!
I want Destiny 2 to be current gen, but it's stupid as -blam!- to make the last DLC for Destiny current gen only. Well, I guess Bungie need the money as the only reason to make this DLC current gen is to get people to rebuy Destiny+DLC.
In doing this, Bungie has free'd themselves from last gen hardware and is able to deliver great content going into Year 3.
Yea, dude. You're right! They have free'd themselves from last gen hardware, but hardware was not what was stopping content being great. Only an idiot would believe that...
This means more, wait for it 'Vault Space'
You do realize that vault space is server side, right? Hardware is not the issue here, the issue is Bungie not wanting to give you -blam!- tons of space.
Possible custom matches etc
Why the -blam!- would you even think that old gen is holding Destiny back from having custom matches? This is one of the most idiotic things I have ever read on these forums...
character recreation
Are you serious?
amazing polished graphics
Graphics are already superior to old gen console, why on earth do you think they'll get even better?
possible weather patterns in pve and pvp
Weird, I have seen weather patterns in quite a few games on last gen consoles. Not sure why you think old gen was stopping Destiny from having those.
being able to add live events with a breeze
Ya because they're difficult...
,and being able to add in content dlc or content for Year 3 without last gen holding us back
But last gen didn't hold any of the last DLC back, do you think the DLC's sucked because of last gen? Dude... they just sucked, it has nothing to do with last gen.
Year 3 is shaping up to be an awesome year.
You're going to be very disappointed when Destiny 2 is just as stupidly -blam!-ed up as Destiny is, and what are you going to blame then? can't blame last gen.
Again sorry last gen but it had to be done.
I am actually legitimately sorry to all those on old gen consoles. I understand that there are things that could stop you from being able to buy a PS4, or rebuy Destiny for the PS4.
I own a PS4 since year 1 so I'm good.]/quote[ So do I, but I don't want a medal for it. Nothing you listed has anything to do with old gen, so uhh good job on this thead. Threads like this is why Bungie don't listen to users here.

I would be happy but now I need to buy ttk again

Still won't fix the story though. R.I.P

Get a new console ass clowns

4 RisposteModificato da RemyMagnus: 6/12/2016 7:06:13 AMLets say a person wants to get an Xbox 1 and they are moving from 360, guess what bungie will make you do? Buy the game again and all the dlc. That's a great way to motivate ppl to move to a new console... When I switched from 360 to 1 I had to buy the game again. Give the game free to ppl that have bought the shit already. That's a great way to encourage ppl to move to a new console.

How much you wanna bet none of that happens? Maybe the locker space.......

169 RisposteThis content can be released on ps3 but instead they push us out saying," nope, if you want to finish Destiny your going to have to, 1 Buy a new gen console for $400, 2 buy Destiny again with all it's dlc's, 3 after you've spent $500-$600 dollars, now you can roll your old characters to this new game and play the one LAST dlc just before we scrap it AGAIN and force you to buy Destiny 2 and then spend another $100-$200 for new dlc's. BUNGIE's problem is in thinking that everyone has that extra cash and trying to FORCE it out of their wallets. This is a horrible business practice especially when after TTK they said all dlc for destiny would be free since they made us pay so much for everything in the first place. Doing things this way only tarnishes their reputation and breaks that promise that they made to those who first purchased the game. So since they have shown me that they don't care about their players or me, I give you the finger and walk away from destiny like a BOSS.

I said it in another post I'll say it here, it's also an attempt (because these developers have contracts with Msoft and Sony) to sell off all of the surplus current gen hardware before releasing 2nd gen Xbox and PS4 hardware...
-
People are ridiculous. Seriously complaining because last gen consoles are finally being shown the way out... Should have been like this for TTK. There is no reason any developer or studio should be obligated to keep obsolete consoles in their plans.
-
Whatever the intention was this was not a sympathy post. You are simply reminding last gen and it needs to stop. #Ps3&Ps4Owner

6 RisposteI've recently upgraded to Xbox One and I was really surprised to see rain on Asylum and Shores of Time. I was pretty much distracted half the match just watching the rain drops XD

4 RisposteI knew this was coming. I don't hate Bungie for doing this. I'm grateful to Bungie for giving us PS3 users Destiny and three DLC's. Bungie has most likely lost my business in this matter, but ONLY because I can't justify a near-$400 expense for ONE expansion. It's not a matter of lacking the money, it's a matter of being unwilling to waste it. Why pay that kind of money for a system that's going to be oldgen in a year? Only thing that could change my mindwould be my PS3 being stolen or breaking. Not likely. No thief wants a PS3. Matter of fact, someone might break into my house or car and leave a few unwanted PS3's there. And my PS2 still works. My 18-year-old Sony VHS still works. Only way you can get Sony's stuff to break is with a sledgehammer. If my PS3 DID break, I might even just get reacquainted with my PS2, at least until PS4.5 or whatever they're calling it comes out. PS Neo? Will it have a picture of Keanu Reeves in shades and a black overcoat on it? Is it a response to Xbox (the) One? Worth ruminating on. While doing so, I will continue to enjoy Destiny for as long as I can. Maybe I'll watch Rise of Iron on Youtube. Sorry you won't be able to stomp me pancake flat in ROI's new Crucible mode, since I won't be there. I'm sure you'll survive the disappointment.

As a 14yo ps3 owner, I agree that so much more can happen with ps4 and xbox1 only
-
9 RisposteMaybe so but they lost me because of it. I own an xbox one and I am not going to buy this because once again bungie has proved that they only care about the money.
