Advice: DON'T PRE ORDER RISE OF IRON
I know they are offering a y3 ghorn. But they are just trying to milk money away from everyone. Again. Also this ghorn should be for everyone, not just pre order.
Remember when everyone pre ordered destiny and they cut out content because they made all the money they needed? Yeah I remember that too. Remember when everyone pre-ordered the expansion pass and they cut content again and what was promised in the game? Yeah I remember too. Remember when everyone pre ordered ttk and they still haven't released half the exotics they advertised? Yeah I remember that too. That's the big deal. When bungie sees they made their money back they cut content.
I hope the community has learned their lesson from bungies history.
Edit: for all you people saying "don't tell me how to spend my money" you're either not reading the actual post or you're literally indoctrinated by bungie. I have never seen someone promise so many things and then fall short everytime and people still believe them. It's amazing.

So far in hearing 3 arguments:
1) don't tell me what to do with my money. Okay, fair enough, but you ought to think about my point rather than just react, because bungie has a history of under delivering and it's going to happen again if you guys aren't careful.
2) I'm going to get it might as well pre order. I encourage you to wait until the last night, before they can cut out content again.
3)that people say they spend enough time to make it worth the money. Yes I agree. My only issue is with false advertising and cut content. [/spoiler]

I personally don't care much about the new gally, for me the DLC is still good entertainment value. Will have to share time with BF1 though.

Just so you know: Gjallarhorn will be available to everyone via quest akin to Sleeper Simulant or Touch of Malice. The only thing you get if you pre order is a skin for Gjallarhorn.

The black ghorn is for pre ordering but everyone will get a quest line for a regular ghorn. I buy destiny dlc the day of release I don't pre order because I want to see game play first. I honestly haven't been happy with any of the dlcs. Yes I like the raids (not arena) and pvp maps but they still lack alot of story missions and other things to do.

2 RisposteI disagree with you I will be buying this because destiny so far has been a game that I truly enjoy. Not because of the so called lack of content or story I just enjoy how different this game is it doesn't try to be a game you play once in a blue moon. This is a grind game and I really enjoy it so I will be getting the dlc. And yes I do realize that this game has so many issues but every game does. As for bungies' business techniques I can see why they do it, and I don't get upset because what ever the masses want they'll get.

2 RisposteNone of you know how pre orders work. Seriously, I've seen way too many of these posts and it is just totally inaccurate information. The ONLY thing that pre orders do is tell the company how many copies they can expect to sell and therefore how many physical copies they need to ship to each store. That's it. It doesn't cost anything extra to preorder, literally all it does is benefit you, the player. And you can even pre order up until like the day before launch! If you preorder digitally then it'll download before it's released so you can play as soon as it's released! Pre ordering allows the company (and those involved) to be prepared for launch. That's. It. I'm so tired of these posts, PLEASE pre order as early as possible if you plan on pre ordering, it's helpful to the people who created the game you love. [spoiler]and original destiny wasn't ruined in the time you could preorder, they scrapped nearly the entire game and started over way before they were taking preorders.[/spoiler]

It's funny to see so many people in here STILL in denial about all the cut content from Destiny that was part of the base game. Not buying. Gally is on the disc as a vanilla weapon at launch. Why do I need to shell out $30 so you can just move it to year 2? (Here come the Bungee white knights)

So I can be a hipster and say "I refuse that iron skin out of protest cause it's disgusting they are using that as a carrot to get ppl's money?" Yeah, no, no logic here I can follow. Proof they cut content on the basis because they made their money already and purposely screwed us? None, it's an assumption. Cut content, yes. Implied capability the game never delivered, yes. Exotics in the inventory not released, yes. Advertised exotics, no, or at least I don't recall any advert for them. The community saw them in the armory and assumed they were coming - not the same thing. Companies use motivators in a free market to sell their wares more. Gjally is a desire a lot have and it is an effective marketing tool. The fact everyone can get it in-game, regardless of order, makes the argument moot. Chief complaint in yr1 was RNG of it. That is removed from the equation. 2nd problem was it's power as the only tool for every situation. That was nerfed. Ppl gonna have opinions anyway though. Have fun gaming regardless what you choose.

Why not pre order? I can pay $30 now or pay $30 in September it doesn't really matter. Besides gjallarhorn is available to anyone who buys rise of iron.

Everyone will get Gjallarhorn through quest, and Iron Gjallarhorn for pre order. So there's really no need for pre order unless you like that colour.

There is no information what so ever to support your claim. Plus preordering does not make them extra money it literally costs the exact same amount. So that is debunked too because you are just buying it earlier so bungie is still getting the same amount of money that they would if you bought it a week after release. Also your complaining about a paint job on a weapon in a video game man grow up

It's available to everyone. But the iron version is only for pre order. It's cosmetic and does nothing else. Now get your head out of your ass.
