People should just accept that time moves on and last-gen is a thing of the past. Tbh, I'm amazed how long cross-gen lasted this time.

What if I just don't think it's worth buying a next gen console? I was gonna ride destiny 1 out and probably stop playing video games. Now I can't do that and it has to end early. Soooo ya I guess that sucks, huh?

1 RispondiOk but I'm gonna still gonna laugh when Bungie keeps working on Destiny and their content is still mediocre/hasn't improved in terms of quality after people said last gen is holding it back and only current gen is playable. Yes that's true old gen holds back, I don't deny that, but is it really a big difference to the entirety of the game? Some people are still gonna complain about the game when it's only current gen and I'm just gonna laugh and think, "So what did old gen have to do with this?"

Everyday this games player base gets divided more and more, first PS3 VS Xbox 360, then PvE vs PvP, nerf this, nerf that, and now last gen vs next gen, give it twenty years and the player base will be in a million different pieces with one player in each one, please stop this kind of stuff.

If I get a second job I can't play and rent definitely will be increased. Ps only 23 years-old Wish I was a 40 year old streamer taking money from kids and wish a system or game could move on from people that actually work in America.

2 RispostePeople will hang onto old gen consoles whilst they are still able to get the games they want. It is much harder to persuade yourself that you have to make the necessary sacrifices to save for a current gen when you can still get the AAA games but just at a slightly reduced framerate and resolution. Well that time is over; Uncharted 4, Overwatch, Driveclub, Bloodborne, Dark Souls 3, Forza 5, Halo 5 and Kinect Sports Rivals, to name but a few, have been very unsubtlety telling you this for a while now. It is time, in my humble opinion, to let the old gen consoles go guys, i know it hurts, I know you have fond memories of your last gen consoles. Just do it. You have 102 days to put a daily £2.73 aside. If you can't manage that then you really should not be complaining as you have more important concerns than console generations. Make yourself a packed lunch rather than buying it. Cancel Netflix for a while. Wash cars. Sell Lemonade. Have a yard sale. Show real committment and sell your old gen console now to give you a little boost (you can get about 20% of the money you need for a next gen). Just do whatever. A current generation console is not a human right, you are not entitled to one, start saving guys.

If you look at it properly, they have had the best part of four or five years to upgrade. I knew of the PS4, at least a year or two before it was released. If they would have saved just £2/$2 a week for those past five years, they would have had enough to buy a next gen console.

The PS360 must have been a lot of people's 1st system. I've been gaming since the NES and I've never heard as much complaining about the generation shift as I've heard lately.

2 RisposteI'm waiting till either I find a extremely good deal or until the new ps4 is out. I don't like paying full price for electronics that have 1yr warranties & tend to breakdown not long after the warranty is over. I never bothered to buy a ps3 till I found one for 60 bucks lol

5 RisposteThe only issue I have is that the game was made for last gen consoles and not just new. I have an Xbox One but I play Destiny on my 360. Stopping updates on last gen before Destiny 2 comes out on the new is a bad move to the fan base. Everybody is aware that Destiny 2 will be on current gen only. Big business just caring about money, and rightfully so I guess.

Could even afford a new 3ds limited edition afterwards. If you are that strapped for cash, like I was, wait until a store does a deal like trade in ps3 for 100 dollar credit, trade in every game you haven't touched in years, even if they give you a dollar back that's one less dollar you spend. Beg your significant other for a loan, beg your stepdad, beg your mom, ask friends if they can pitch in a few dollars or games they aren't playing (lol do't actually beg). My friend let me trade in his GtA V for ps4, less money I spent. You don't even need to get it new, used works just as well, just make sure scratches are minimal and controller doesn't look like little Timmy chewed it up. If you really want something, you will find a way to get it. [spoiler]If you reaaaaaaaalllllllyyyyy don't like begging for money, simply say it's a loan and you'll pay the person back. There is no shame in asking friends and family to contribute to your gaming addiction.[/spoiler] Edit: people will find it hard to part with their consoles with a vast videogame library. That's fine, start from scratch by saving a dollar a day, that's 30-31 dollars each month. You'll have enough for the console in a year. The games and ps+ in a little under 6 months.

After looking at all the different arguments only one thought comes to mind, sucks for the last gen users but good for the new gen and destiny finally not being held back anymore by last gen. I started on the 360 but very glad I updated. Let's just see how advanced this new expansion will be now! Hopefully much bigger

Yea I do feel bad for my PS3 brethren but this day had to come at some point, right? On one hand it does suck for those guys but this is for the betterment of this game. Plus, you guys know there will be another price cut this summer. So that will help many upgrade to the shiny side.
