I'm very happy with this move because now they can take the time they would have taken to develope for older generation and put it towards something better. A lot of people seem to be confused by the micro transaction thing that was going on. Bungie never explicitly said they were going to give dlc away for free....all they said was that there would be small events that would be available for everyone. I'm excited to see what's in store for this damn game. I've stopped playing multi different times for other games. The division took me away for a good month, uncharted took me away for a good month but I always seem to come back to it.

It's because they know that a ps+ subscription is now a requirement to play online, that's why I was hesitant but I still bought the destiny console lol

1 Rispondiwith the upgraded next-gen consoles likely being announced at e3, it's a great time to get a standard ps4 or xbox1 really cheap or at a decent price, even get a second hand one on eBay for cheap and sell your old system, so many ways to go about it without spending a tonne

10 RisposteI saw this and I thought I'd post it, thoughts? You cant deny the fact that PS4 is now the new gen, however you cant deny that Destiny was 1st created for PS3 and ported to the PS4, not that I have a problem with it, but in all fairness, Destiny should be meant for PS3, and Destiny 2 meant for PS4, you dont screw the hand that feeds you, alot of people spent money on Destiny 1 and all the DLC and now get screwed for it? Well I don't think thats right no. This was a bad move for bungie and the community. We were told that Destiny DLC would be free and support for PS3, now I dont have a problem with Bungie dropping support for PS3, thats fine, but dont stab us in the back by creating content soley created for PS3, and only making it for PS4, and not only that, the game is old. So wheres the logic in Bungies move here?

8 Risposte-blam!- you, the game was made on last gen consoles first, it was already limited because it was ported to next gen consoles so that excuse for not being able to make it for last gen is bullshit, I'd completely understand if Destiny 2 was made for next gen consoles but not a -blam!-ing expansion pack for -blam!-s sake, it's not like they're adding anything game changing so again it's absolutely bullshit that they're not making it for last gen

7 Rispostefor the people on old consoles talking about this gen being expensive to buy please read and think about it for a second because it's not that unreasonable at all. setting aside 5 euros per week would have given you the new console by now... if you can't save that much i honestly don't think you should be gaming in general and focus on getting your life straight first. i upgraded to ps4 for no man's sky originally and bought AC unity with it because i thought why not buy this now if i'm going to later anyways, i have the money because i save about 10 to 15 euros per week or even more if i can from the money i make during the weekends and i can honestly buy the games i like whenever i like because due to my little fund that has grown over the years. 5 euros per week would mean eating home cooked food more and drinking more water instead of sugary drinks for me but i guess not everyone can give up something they want at that moment for something of higher value that keeps them statisfied longer at a later date. [spoiler]please reason your way out of this one if you like, it's the truth and you know it.[/spoiler] *fluffs away*

10 RisposteFair enough. I bought my PS3 just over a year ago, with Destiny bundled with it. This is my first ever console and console game, I thought about the PS4 but with no experience of gaming I figured I had plenty of time to upgrade later . As it is I've been pretty much hooked on Destiny and have jumped on every update and expansion the second it was available. I was disappointed to learn Destiny 2 would only be available on PS4 but fully understand that this is progress and technology is never going to stand still. I do however feel pretty shafted that with 3 months notice the game I have enjoyed for the past year and hoped to play out at least to the end of part 1 is now going to require a major investment in new hardware in order to complete.

1 RispondiThe Xbox 360 is over 10 years old. By the time rise of iron comes out it will be almost 11 years old. It's been by FAR the longest supported console. Microsoft doesn't even make them anymore. If you saved £1 per day since the release of the Xbox one you would have saved enough to buy the new console 3 times over. Sine the release of the Xbox 360, I have had 2 children, 4 jobs, 2 cars, 6 phones. The issue with the 360 is that it has a very low amount of ram. Which controls how much information the console can control at once. Low ram means you limit how much you can have going on behind the scenes. The size of the environment. How complex the animations are etc. My phone has over twice the ram of an Xbox 360. Making rise of iron, or any future expansion only holds destiny back.

1 RispondiBlack and white Gjallarhorn? (People like COLOR, Bungie!), fallen on silly-looking stilts, a temporary axe, not available on the Xbox 360 or PS3, and only for the One and PS4? No thanks... I'd rather invest in a much more powerful console - the Xbox Two / Scorpio that's coming out next year, baby!!!

We all knew this was coming, except for I guess a few stubborn folk who either refuse to upgrade or maybe just don't have the money (the latter I feel sorry for but not the former). Hopefully this means Destiny 2 will be a full 60 FPS and won't suffer from the limitations of having to account for the same base experience on different hardware. Of course none of that matters if Bungie can't make the game fun and worth playing again - as is I got my Grimoire maxed, and too many other games do what Destiny could/should better so yeah not like I'm hurting for options anymore until September (unlike last year, PS4 actually has a decent selection now). Step your game up Bungie c'mon, tired of seeing this potentially amazing IP dragging it's heels in mediocrity.

Early next gen buyers have gotten very little bang for their buck compared to those of us who wisely stuck with our reliable last gen consoles. Add to this the fact that both Sony and Microsoft will be releasing better versions of their consoles (next half gen?) as early as NEXT year and you can clearly see why the current gen people have so much angst. As the lines between console and computer continue to blend and we drift ever towards a yearly upgrade model, expect more and more suckers to vent their anger. My Xbox 360 has served its purpose beautifully. Started on Halo, drifted towards Left4Dead, brief hiatus to play some Starcraft 2, years upon years of Mass Effect trilogy, then came back to it for a great Destiny experience. When Xbone and PS4 came out they had very little exclusive software to offer. Those of us riding out the last generation are just chuckling at you guys.

I have to agree. I am one who held back for a long time. Finally got my ps4 in November last year. The most noticeable difference is being able to pop a heavy without dying due to the 30 second delay to load the menu on ps3 versus a few seconds at most on ps4. That difference alone was huge. Add all the extra vault space, and yeah.... it was due time. Not to mention the sweet games like Uncharted 4 that don't waste their time nor potential by being held back by last gen. Don't get me wrong, I love my ps3. But nobody has a right to complain about new games not coming out for ps3 anymore. In the first two years, sure. But after 3 years? I agree with OP.

9 RisposteI've seen a lot of people complaining about how they don't like legacy consoles being left behind, however, I've seen just as many people be even more petty and immature as a response. You all have no grounds upon which to judge someone for putting other priorities ahead of upgrading their game console.
