8 RisposteI see a lot of people complaining about Destiny moving on from the old consoles, so I wanted to share with you what I did as a kid when I wanted something. Talk to your parents, tell them what you want, why you want it, and why you deserve it. Talk about what you are willing to do to earn it and how you can obtain it. Walk dogs. Mow lawns. Trim bushes. Wash cars. Babysitting. Cleaning houses. Doing chores. Making good grades in school. Maintaining positive behaviors... Stuff like that will get you what you want rather than waiting around for mommy and daddy to get it for you.

1 Rispondi& you've had longer to prove you weren't a waste of human flesh.
-
No doubt. When I was a kid (age reveal) I wanted a Sega Genesis. I didn't want to wait for xmas or ask my parents for one so I took it upon myself to sell my NES and all my games and got the money for the Genesis on my own.
-
1 RispondiThis post, and the majority of responses tells me something. I'm far to old to be here.
-
Pshh, I still have space on my NES! I can run it.
-
I expected them to move on in Destiny 2, but to do it with the last dlc doesn't make sense.
-
2 RisposteIs "Budget" a new word or something? I've never heard of it, I just buy everything that catches my eye...
-
2 RisposteAnd muted.

15 RisposteI hate to hear that and it makes me sad but I know you're right lol. Should I go with a ps4 or xbone?

Modificato da Arashi Sora: 6/9/2016 11:33:58 PMAs I said in another thread, Destiny on current gen consoles isn't suddenly going to have all the features we were promised from the trailers and viddocs. It's not going to magically run at 1080p with 60fps. The core engine of the game is set and would require such a massive overhaul that it wouldn't be worth the effort with Destiny 2 right around the corner. I have an Xbox One, but everyone suddenly blaming last gen for everything and expecting this new expansion to add in a ton of features will be severely disappointed. Why in the world would Bungie add game changing features now when Destiny 2 is probably less than a year away? Besides, right now is the WORST time to upgrade to a new console. Within the next week(E3) , we'll be hearing about slim versions and more powerful consoles coming within the next 18 months. If you have saving up money for this long, just wait until Neo/PS4.5/whatever new, more powerful console you want. That might mean waiting until 2018, but if the leaked specs are legit, the new consoles are going to be two times(or more) as powerful as what we have now.

1 RispondiRemember when PS4 and XB1 were called next gen, yea, they are current gen now. Thats the reason the PS3 and 360 are no longer supported. You legacy players, grow up. You spend a lot on the game already, may as well upgrade while you're at it because it seems you have the money to spare

8 RisposteBUNGIE PLEASE HOLD BACK THE POTENTIAL OF DESTINY SO I CAN PLAY WHEN I GET HOME FROM SCHOOL UNTIL MY BED TIME

1 RispondiAlready have an Xbox one now but didn't when Destiny first came out. I don't really mind that they decided to upgrade but I do mind that I will have to pay for everything all over again just for one dlc.
-
1 RispondiNo pity for people who haven't upgraded already. The "new" consoles are 2.5 years old and already headed for a re-design, making the last-gen consoles even more obsolete. If you haven't upgraded already, that's your problem, be it finances, refusal to upgrade, etc. I refuse to see any more of my Xbox One and Playstation 4 games get compromised in development because the developers have to churn out a last-gen version to appease stragglers. Developers and publishers were going to do this eventually. Is the timing a bit weird considering this is the final expansion before the sequel? Yes. But, seriously, if gaming is a priority and posting messages on Bungie boards are a priority, get your other priorities and finances in order so you can buy a current-gen console. The rest of you, keep your light strong, and I'll see you this fall in the new expansion. Cheers.

21 RisposteModificato da Nanye: 6/9/2016 10:41:18 PMI also have no better internet plans and HAVE to play Destiny on a last gen console, if I dont want to breach the data cap I have, despite owning a current gen console. This is, no matter what way you look at it, is a kick in the teeth for last gen users from Bungie. There was zero indication prior to this Reveal that last-generation consoles will not recieve all major content updates for the game. This I feel is a major mis-communication between Bungie and theor community. Even The Taken King released on last-gens. Edit: I wholeheartedly agree that they should move on. However if you release a game on last-gen and dont say whether or not major content updates will be withheld from them, seems a bit dodgey dont you think? I bought the game as advertised, expecting the whole experience.

2 RisposteFallout 4 and all its dlc is currently free on the Xbox store. Not kidding

Modificato da ChaosTheoryCraft: 6/9/2016 11:49:50 PMThe ESA (Entertainment Software Association) does pretty comprehensive research, and the statistics they have released justify Bungie's decision. For Example: Recently, they found that more Than 40 Million Americans Age 50+ (1 of every 3 people over age 50) Play Video Games. http://www.theesa.com/article/more-than-40-million-americans-age-50-plus-play-video-games/ In 2012, they found that the average age of a gamer is 30, and nearly half are women. In households with a console, on average there are 2. Gaming’s "traditional" demographic, the under-18 male, was only 18%. https://www.vg247.com/2012/08/01/esa-average-gamer-age-is-30-adult-women-more-lucrative-than-teenage-boys/ One can only assume that in the past 4 years since that data was collected, the gap between young, broke kids and adults with disposable income has increased, if only slightly. In simplest terms, the concept of kids on a limited income being the bread and butter of the industry has gone away. The bread and butter now are adults, and adults tend to spend their disposable income. They spend it on consoles, home theaters, luxury items. II consider myself an average gamer. 45, married, kids, college educated professional. My household has several consoles (for myself and the kids), I got both PS4 and XB1 at launch. Bungie has far more to gain by pandering to me and my wallet, than to teenagers or college students.

It's the world we now live in......Liberals at work "No console left behind......" Mentality People will blow money on everything else but not an updated console.

Fallout 4 and all its dlc is currently free on the Xbox store right now. Not kidding.

No more old gen ! Thank u Bungie ! Now u have to upgrade DESTINY :D
-
Crappy thing, at least it kept them corralled...now they are going to be invading around Christmas...
-
-
Just sell your Xbox 360/PS3, get money from that, and then buy your Xbox One/PS4.

Modificato da iPeeWheniLaf: 6/9/2016 10:58:56 PMI agree completely. I feel bad for some people that can't afford it but ultimately....it's been time to upgrade for at least 1 year now. I'm very happy with this move because now they can take the time they would have taken to develope for older generation and put it towards something better. A lot of people seem to be confused by the micro transaction thing that was going on. Bungie never explicitly said they were going to give dlc away for free....all they said was that there would be small events that would be available for everyone. I'm excited to see what's in store for this damn game. I've stopped playing multi different times for other games. The division took me away for a good month, uncharted took me away for a good month but I always seem to come back to it.
