Hate mail for speed running in heroic strikes
So I was running through some heroic strikes today. I was running past all the useless enemies so that we could speed through it. I got to the boss and wiped to bring the other two forward. They proceeded to send me hate mail calling me a coward and unskilled for running past useless enemies.
Since when has speed running become unskilled

For the people saying I think my way is the only way to run strikes, you're wrong. I don't believe that. I understand people run it different ways. I'm simply stating that it's sad that people think speed running makes you unskilled at this game and send hate mail over it

I admit, it was kind of inconsiderate of me to pull them forward, but at the time I had soloed half the strike and just wanted to finish it finally. When I go into match making, I don't expect people to do things exactly my way. It's every man for himself. If someone kept killing ads at boss or kept dying at boss, I wouldn't send hate mail over it. It's my risk for using match making. My point is stop expecting thing to go your way of you use match making, and don't send hate mail for it, because you chose to use match making

Wow so much salt for speed running. I bet half of you are taken tots. Would have liked to see you try grinding strikes in HoW. You would have been screwed. Everyone was speed running trying to get a dry rot or a hopscotch pilgrim

To be fair we all should respect how people want to play the game. Maybe they prefer having fun by fighting every single enemies instead of just going to boss and getting loot. I get that you ran pass all the enemies and I can respect that, but bringing them to boss is pretty rude since you essentially took away their option of how they wanted to play the strike.

2 RisposteI absolutely hate being dragged forward by some nob who runs all the way through to the end and dies. No super saved, heavy probably running low, maybe the wrong weapons equipped. You're the one who's wrong. If you want to rush ahead, so be it, but stay alive until the others get there like normal people do.

6 RisposteSkipping all the enemies makes you a douche. Play thru the strike, kill the enemies and progress normally, or don't play thru at all.. You kids are the reason I prefer soloing strikes

2 RisposteI can definitely say it's really annoying when someone just runs and speed runs ignoring the other two. Sometimes I try to do my bounties at the same time. If someone is speed running and I see the other person doing the same thing I'll go into that mode too. That one speed runner that goes ahead and completely ignores the other two out of three of the members well, I enjoy seeing when they die. If they pull us forward while I'm in the middle of killing ads for exp and bounty exp I usually get a bit pissed. I'll still try to help the team but not the person that went in like Leroy Jenkins.

6 RisposteIf you did that to me I would find a nice safe corner to sit and watch you kill the boss and get free engrams, after I put one shoot in the bosses head that is to make sure that I do get the drops. Don't force others into playing your play style it is not fair on the other players if they have bounties that need completing.

The game has been out for quite some time now. Players surely must know that speed running is the most efficient way of getting loot? Killing mobs rarely give anything, sometimes you might be lucky, but it's not worth the time. I can't stand doing them the "normal" way. Speed running is better, faster and I enjoy it a hell lot more that way.

So raise your damn hand if you actually tell your group to take out the Guardian of the will or find the hidden fallen in the echo chamber or eveb fought the cabal and hive on the shield brothers strike in the beginning.

I speedrun most of the time but I have never received hate mail for doing it. Those guys you were with must have been dumbasses

1 RispondiMan if someone dies ahead of me to bring me forward then fantastic, I get to do the strike faster. I kill all my enemies just because but at the same time I don't want to sit here all day doing stikes just to try and get the one thing u want at the end. Especially if it's any of the old strikes. If you need to kill enemies do it in patrol but I don't have a problem with people bringing me forward, as selfish as people make it to be.

If the person i get matchmaked with speed runs it i will too. But if they dont i usually wont.

1 RispondiI don't get why people are so livid about engrams. I've seen so many people in this thread complaint about how they missed out on engrams. [b]ENGRAMS?[/b] You can't be serious right? Blue engrams have a chance at getting a legendary, and 99% of the time that legendary is pure shit. Legendary engrams that do drop have a good chance of being pure shit as well. The chance at an exotic is slim and you're chances for one are probably better with 3oC. You still get a chance at you're precious bounties [spoiler]but who even does bounties everyday anymore[/spoiler] while at the boss (last i checked adds still spawn at boss) and when killing the boss you get a chance at exotics, legendarys, and some guaranteed blues. I don't see the problem with speed running strikes. Also, run PoE if you want to feel "like a badass that can kill everything. "

1 RispondiI see no problem with this. If the other two didn't like it they really should have left, I'm sure there's more than one lobby for strikes. People are really ridiculous lately. You can't do anything without pissing someone off.
