Hate mail for speed running in heroic strikes
So I was running through some heroic strikes today. I was running past all the useless enemies so that we could speed through it. I got to the boss and wiped to bring the other two forward. They proceeded to send me hate mail calling me a coward and unskilled for running past useless enemies.
Since when has speed running become unskilled

For the people saying I think my way is the only way to run strikes, you're wrong. I don't believe that. I understand people run it different ways. I'm simply stating that it's sad that people think speed running makes you unskilled at this game and send hate mail over it

I admit, it was kind of inconsiderate of me to pull them forward, but at the time I had soloed half the strike and just wanted to finish it finally. When I go into match making, I don't expect people to do things exactly my way. It's every man for himself. If someone kept killing ads at boss or kept dying at boss, I wouldn't send hate mail over it. It's my risk for using match making. My point is stop expecting thing to go your way of you use match making, and don't send hate mail for it, because you chose to use match making

Wow so much salt for speed running. I bet half of you are taken tots. Would have liked to see you try grinding strikes in HoW. You would have been screwed. Everyone was speed running trying to get a dry rot or a hopscotch pilgrim

I usually speed run but i don't wipe to force the other two into it. I'm guessing that's why you got the hate mail

Speedruning isnt bad therre shold be two playlists one for lootruneers(speedruneers) and other for people who really wants to play the strike cuz for me heroic strikes are very boring i just make them for loot

I scrub past every part that I don't have to do. Once I got hatemail and for me to stop speed running, I replied saying if you don't like me running through then leave at the end and find another one...he did not like it

When I do run heroic strikes I test the water, if the other players start speeding through I do too. If they painstakingly kill every enemy in their path I fall in.

Why join an activity and be afk for minutes? That's utter crap. Was on my 2nd account today and wanted to do some PoE 41. So one douchebag was in the menu first, then he got 'summoned by Variks'. Of course he/she did not move and got killed. The other player rezzed him and he got killed again. We did not bother to rez after that. Then that guy respawned, [b]ran through the arena to a safe spot and was afk again[/b]. He had 0 kills in the end, of course. This example is kind of special because that retard actually pressed a button to respawn and change his location. So he was not 100% afk. After retreating to the airlock I sent hate mail and blocked that moron. A few days ago I also had two players in the Taniks strike who kept dying at the beginning. They never came down to the spot where you enter the Ketch. After I killed enough Fallen to spawn Taniks, I got tired of it and left. I can't stand that. I just wonder why players do that. Really. I will never tolerate or understand that, resulting in that player getting reported for inactivity and unhelpful, sometimes messaged, blocked and then I quit the activity. If your kid is crying or the dog needs to go out, whatever, just leave! If you stay back for a minute or so I don't mind, but if something different needs your attention for a while, please leave. And if you're the type of useless afk asshole, you will get blocked and I'll never have to see you again in my group. Rant over 😎

Strikes are meant for shoveling through, that's why there is a playlist. There's no need to stop and kill every single enemy in patrolling areas in strikes and such. When a strike launches, I start going, if Noone comes. I solo it. If people go but kill things in every section that's needed, I'm in, it makes it fun. If they are speed running through, I speed run also. I play how I want, ultimately though.

6 RisposteDude, don't pull people up. Bounties need to be done, glimmer needs to be farmed, etc. Skip all you want, just don't ruin it for the others.

1 RispondiAt least you're admitting that pulling them forward is wrong. You've already become better than 99% of the people on this entire forum. But I've had people do that to me, for the rest of the strike they get sparrow slammed or just get no help from me what so ever. I'll sit in a corner and do nothing. I've even had them join me and not help either. Oh well. Now I just quit the strike all together, message the other victim to quit as well so the person is left alone to either quit as well or solo the strike, which in the heroic is not as easy as it used to be.

I speed past useless enemies all the time. But I never wipe to pull people forward. That's not cool.

If you do speedrun, do it with a full fireteam. Those guys might have been chilling and doing bounties.

23 RisposteSo even if you say you can't expect people to run the strikes your way when using matchmaking, you die on purpose to force people to skip the part they are playing, making them play the strike like you want to? I hate it when people rush ahead. Especially when that leaves two of us to deal with all the aggroed adds they ran past. It makes more sense to join in on the tactic the other two are using, than just running on, doing your own thing. I know optional matchmaking would be preferable, but now we have to play the game as it is. So if you absolutely insist on running ahead, atleast have the decency not to die and ruin it for the entire team.

To be fair we all should respect how people want to play the game. Maybe they prefer having fun by fighting every single enemies instead of just going to boss and getting loot. I get that you ran pass all the enemies and I can respect that, but bringing them to boss is pretty rude since you essentially took away their option of how they wanted to play the strike.
