According to the lastest news from Bungie today there will be no TOO this week and no IB next week because a bunch of jerks found a way to cheat with Rocket Launcher ammo. And they are not going to ban them either. Once again a small group of selfish idiots ruin other peoples enjoyment of Destiny.

Honestly even if it's obviously a bad moral decision, before Bungie was aware of the glitch they couldn't ban people for using it. It would be stupid to retroactively ban people for a rule that wasn't there. However, what they should've done is state the rule in the weekly update, say "stop doing this or you're banned", and carry on with Trials and IB while banning people who still do it. ;D

219 RisposteModificato da Eyaslunatic: 5/23/2016 7:40:07 AMHello, one of those selfish idiots reporting in. I'm probably not the one to talk, but exploiters shouldn't (and they won't) be suspended or banned for doing something that was the devs' fault. If you're actually doing something that they have no control over (DDoS, hacking or whatever) that's an offense that can be banned for. Edit: I've rustled some jimmies. I don't like rustling for kicks and giggles though. As weird as this is, thanks for your counterarguments, petty name calling and death threats aside. It's good food for thought. Relatively soon (busy atm) I'll address some things in a second edit. Edit (the sequel): - More on banning: Unless BNG states it specifically, exploiters will not be banned regardless of opinion due to this section in the below linked BNG help article:
It’s your choice on how to have the most fun in Destiny. If you’re merely playing the game, then you aren’t doing anything wrong. If you find an exploit, we want to know about it in the #Help forums. Don’t be scared; we won’t be upset if you found a way to make something weird happen. Let us know about it, so we can fix it to ensure we give everybody the best experience possible!
Source: https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/11929 - On morality: I wholeheartedly agree that it is not right to take advantage of bugs/exploits that are detrimental to other players' experiences. The reason that I did it and will continue to, knowing this, is that I don't care about broken controllers. I did it for fun (at other's expense unfortunately), the same reason that many people did the Sunbreaker, Gunslinger, and Nightstalker glitches. Until Bungie is able to patch the issue (which I hope is soon because I want to play ToO and IB as much as the rest of you), shenanigans will continue. - On scale: Realize that this is a game. Don't judge morals entirely on what people do in a game. If you don't like rockets in your face not even one minute into your match, join in on the fun and/or outplay the jerk and proceed to "assert dominance."
-
This is sooo dumb.I would false them in their face
-
1 RispondiDamn... Wish I knew about the glitch. Trying to raise my KD haha
-
I've been summoned.
-
They didn't ban people who did the Quiver glitch (Practically the same situation now, canceled Trials back then), nor will they ban those who abuse this, it is their fault that this is a feature in the game, and they are doing their best to remove it, that being said, just live with it for now, hell use it yourself, it's not going to change anything.
-
No, Bungie has cost us the Iron Banner and Trials
-
Modificato da JermsD: 5/23/2016 4:23:21 AMJust play a different game until they fix it.
-
2 RisposteNow you know how the PVE people feel when the PVP players bitch and moan about nervous and nerve that and it affects us in PVE I think it's funny as -blam!-
-
3 RisposteDidn't bungie ban people for finding dead ghosts that were coming in TTK
-
4 Rispostedid you see the article circulating on the web that Bungie is going to ban bad internet from pvp lol, I am for it but wow haha just wow
-
2 RisposteIt's annoying. I'd rather they just disabled heavy ammo. I can still have fun with my primary..
-
Maybe they will skip rift
-
Sounds like the infinite Shadowshot glitch all over again. At least they're not letting these f***s ruin another IB.
-
Vanguard the true one. The king.
-
Banner would have been fine. Trials not so much. Imagine 8-0 and you get matched with a team shooting more rockets than a cabal strike boss. The worst part is that no hacking or outside game manipulation is required to get rockets. So it doesn't violate any terms of service, not allowing harsh and proper punishment.
-
1 RispondiIt's a glitch, not a cheat. Blame Bungie programmers.
-
I heard it's not coming back till the new DLC. That's 4 months without trials!
-
Damn I was looking forward to ib :(
-
Most agree with you.

5 RisposteModificato da M3NAC3 360: 5/21/2016 6:20:23 AMWhy not simply disable rocket launchers or the Clown Cartridge perk(like they did with that Nightstalker perk cheat) and let the events continue as planned. Disabling the events altogether is just stupid. Didn't Bungie also say they aren't going to punish these cheaters too? Either way, it is legit players who always suffer.
-
This is the reason. Cheats like this.
-
No the cheaters didn't cause it... the crappie programmers at bungie did
-
I am against cheating and all but using the Clown Cartridge exploit should not result in a ban. Locked out of Trials? Sure, but not banned. It's an exploit that takes advantage of Bungie's incompetence. I'm pretty sure a large portion of the population has taken advantage of Bungie's incompetence at one point or another. To me bans should be reserved for things like DDOS, modding, etc.
-
Exploiters* And yes, unfortunately, they have.
-
2 RisposteNot cheating, it's in the game, they are not responsible for a mistake Bungie made. I haven't used it and will not, but it certainly isn't cheating if it is available in the game.
