1 RispondiI'm against matchmaking for the Raids for a variety of reasons...but the reality is that the Bungie in house game players should be able to quickly realize that COE has virtually none of the intricate mechanics and team communication specific issues that the Raids present. I've LFG'd COE several times without ever seeing another mic with zero issues. I actually prefer the lack of random chatter at times.

Add optional matchmaking for nightfall and COE already. Things would be so much easier if it was there. Wtf is the reason its not there? I dont get it..

No offence, but I liked the old one better after 20 mins trying to find someone for NF and COE I gave up and shut off my console.

done VOG and Crotas End with 6 randoms all from year 1. nice moments . if bungie do not revamp VOG they could add matchmaking for it instead

5 RisposteTL:DR - The app is a cluster, the LFG feature is so far from being viable, and really the app was fine before just needed a few tweaks/minor updates. I think it's fair to say there's an increase to the amount of effort but the it's also fair to say that the goals of the changes seem to be unclear. I say this because the quality of life, ease of access, and overall feel of this app (since its remodel) doesn't exist. So really, what're you trying to do? Not to be mean, but I really hope none of you (Bungie) organize anything at home because it's a mess. The forums haven't given us anything better in terms of being able to sort/find things, in fact it's (for me at least) harder to find things. The ability to access characters/vaults is obnoxious (still can't send multiple items) and it has to be manually refreshed all the time. The stats page is terrible and getting rid of the "combined character" feature that was automatic sucks. Also, the main "LOL???" is your "LFG" system that you recently added....it's terrible to put it nicely. I mean: 1. You buried it, not giving its own shortcut and instead through your recruitment forums? 2. The filters are terrible and yeah...all of it. 3. Have you ever actually looked at any "LFG" site? I laughed when you guys quoted "Does Bungie even play their own game?" because it's obvious, of course you do. The real question, which is answered already, is "Is Bungie even good at their own game?" - no That's fine, it's understandable, you're busy (I hope) working/making the game and its future. However, you really should listen to people who treat this better then their own lives and actually think this is their life. It's not something to demoralize anyone and isn't critiquing a positive thing considering its for your own benefit? Shit, it's not like anyone would know where your ideas came from as long as it's decent. Look around you and all the 3rd parties that put a lot of effort into making things easier for everyone since there isn't some manual matchmaking system for people. If you're going to make an attempt at being on the same page or playing field with them, then at least make the attempt at something better instead of insulting them with what's currently offered.

Send them an invite? Sure that works IF their gamertag is displayed, BUT many times it's not. So now you have to hunt for their gamertag. ALSO many times people won't join the fireteam and will send a direct message. I'll invite them which means your queue is sill open and people join in expecting to play. Unless you close the queue. There is just too much management when before you could just post and people would message you to play. ALSO, your initial post gets BURIED quickly and is difficult to locate. ALSO from the FAQ: Q: What happens when my Fireteam is full? A: Once all spots on the Fireteam are claimed, the thread author will receive a notification on Bungie.net and the Destiny Mobile Companion App prompting them to review their Recruitment topic. If the author wishes to proceed with their Fireteam, selecting "Close Thread and Create Fireteam" will lock the topic and Fireteam members. OK, then what? I have to manually invite 5 people to the game (if it's a raid). Too much work (compared to the old way).

I honestly think the new recruiting feature is more difficult. I used to easily see when a post was made and I only tried to get into ones that were just posted. Now it's hard to tell which post was actually made most recently and I have to click on 3-4 to find one that is actually still looking for players. Need to figure out an in-game way to handle this

6 RisposteModificato da jnikoley: 5/21/2016 6:51:17 PMIf you are like me, and you prefer the old forum layout for recruiting, there's still a way to do it, here's how: Go to the Destiny/All forum section NOT recruitment, and start a topic. Type an appropriate title and body. Select the tags you want for your recruitment thread, #recruitment, #raids, etc. Make sure to remove the #Destiny tag so it wont appear in the main forum. The thread will now appear in the appropriate recruitment section (based on the tags), just like the new recruitment topics, but it WILL NOT have the required fireteam slots, so it wont be auto locked. Here's an example thread I started: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/204828594/0/0 Basically, it gives you the old forum recruiting we had. It just takes a little more time than before to create the topic, but once done, others can use it to recruit for that activity just like before. Edit: I will create other topics in the future we can all use in this way. Send me a PM if you need help creating a recruitment thread (old style).
