I'm not one to write things off as impossible... But my god. Sometimes we'll win our first match, then get curbstomped every match after that. It's impossible for some. Does anyone agree?
EDIT: Before you get to telling me to put more time in, understand 2 things. 1) I'm a farmer, and as such I have a lot of work to do at any given point of the day. 2) The amount of time it would take me to get on the level as these other people, assuming I sold the farm, would be greater than the time until Destiny 2. And I'm not selling the farm.

4 RisposteIt's not meant to be possible for every single guardian. There's a small chance that you might get lucky every match and face suiciders who are just there to farm coins. Otherwise, seriously, it's a competitive game mode. Iron Banner is for those who want to just play and be rewarded with good gear. Trials is meant to be just that: a true test of skill and game knowledge. The fact that the lighthouse is exclusive is kinda the point...
-
This is any 3v3 game mode for me. One game I'm clearing the field, the next one I'm being hammered twice as hard.
-
I was told from the get go that Trials was creep of the crop PvP. I just do it for fun.
-
1 RispondiYep, ive been saying this for a while now and people get mad and start hating when I do, "Trials is not for casuals" .. it has never been.
-
So just don't play it... Not that difficult
-
That's grand, don't play trials or raid much, haven't done the new one yet. I'm OK with that, sure.

2 RisposteModificato da I Fart Jr I: 5/17/2016 5:56:23 PMHappens every time. And it's always snipers. Doesn't matter where we go on whatever map is being run. Doesn't matter what strategy we use. We get sniped. We turn a corner and they know exactly where to aim. Gets old real fast so we just do the bounties and then get out. I've put plenty of time in trying to get better at sniping myself too but I just can't snipe in Destiny. I'm awful at it. Feels like I did better when trials first launched. Hell, first weekend Trials came back after TTK we almost went to Mercury multiple times. We do well in standard Crucible and Iron Banner but in Trials we just get smeared. We're lucky if we get one round.
-
Its not a matter of how much you play, its how long have you been playing for, and how much of that is crucible.
-
It should be, to be honest. I remember before trials came out, it was advertised to be much harsher than it turned out to be. I expected it to not just be impossible for normal players, but to be impossible for above average players as well. They made it sound like it should only be for the best of the best, and while it's still pretty difficult, it's not as bad as it could be.
-
5 RisposteI won't say it's impossible. However, with the amount of time it will take some people to improve, it might as well be. You could make it easier, but I think many would abandon it in droves if you did so.
-
I wouldn't say impossible for most people actually. I've only tried it once, and I got to 5 before we took a break, smoked a bowl and got reked because I was too distracted trying to stay focused on this sheet. They also started playing pretty badly. But if we had practiced beforehand or even ran it a few more times, I don't see why people would say it's uberboner hard. I'm not even that great of a player either. Just got bored and tried it out and I actually liked it alot. I just gotta stop getting so damn cloud9 before I play with all you sweat mcsweatpants. That sniping stuff got annoying pretty fast though. it was cool at first, but I kept getting rez sniped. Is there any way to counter that?
-
Need to practice more And and maybe instead of playing with random people all the time actually get a squad and play together a lot in some skirmish and practice

Modificato da xKCz: 5/17/2016 6:47:54 PMSurprised to have any energy left to game, OP. Long days filled with hard work. Farming seems more akin to a lifestyle choice, rather than a job in my eyes. I bet it's hella rewarding though.
-
1 RispondiI feel you, but I keep hammering away and spend most of my time in Crucible now lol.. If it's not last word or universal remote users, it's just really good snipers (which I am a horrible sniper lol) But no, in all honesty it's just really skilled players in ToO. I fancied myself pretty good in crucible, generally going 1.2 or so, but then I step foot aim Trials as some of you guys are on a level I down't even know existed lol. I'll spend the rest of the foreseeable future helping you guys get to the light house...by dying lol
-
I know it may be hard at times but keep at it, i wasnt the best the begin with, i was mainly pve but since trials came out i kept at it and now ive been plenty of times. You just need the right team once you have this then the rest will fall into place and i cant say this enough make sure that they are CHILLED ( you dont want the person who will rage at everyone but expect that everyone is cool with what he does ).
-
7 RisposteIt's not impossible, I think now the only real issue that gets in the way are these God shooting snipers. Honestly I've never seen anything like it! I've ran and speed jumped out behind a wall,a player sniper in mid jump heads shots me out of the air.... My jaw dropped. Lol I enjoy the trials and just look forward to a may I can work tactically to with a team, I'm a fusion handcannon user. No I don't use the last word either. I do miss the days with good shoot outs and proper gun play though.
-
I wouldn't say it's impossible. You could always get carried by way better players. But yes, it is definitely very difficult for a lot of people to get to the Lighthouse. That said, I don't think there is anything wrong with something being super hard for some people. Not everything should be easy or even obtainable. I think the the more you put into something the more you should get out of it. If you can't or don't want to put a lot into PvP, then you shouldn't get as much out of it as someone who does.
-
Not impossible, but definitely not worth the effort IMO. It would be more fun IMO if instead of elimination, it was skirmish which rewarded wins based on combined score of the team.
-
2 RisposteHey chin up buddy... nothing is impossible. If you try and practices and TRAIN, you'll get better and with work you'll get to the light house... All that motivational bs aside... I'm not a pvp guy, I quite trying, It was worth it to get to the light house when there were good weapons with elemental damage... now its an emblem, a G. Card, and bragging rights... Oh and a chance at a good PVP weapon or two...
-
Of course its about practice and personal ability, but what is most important is the team you play with. If you are just hopping in with 2 dudes from the reef each time you run a card or LFG'ing some rando's you'll never find the rhythm to be able to consistently put winning cards together. My suggestion is to find 2 people and make them your Trials team, each weekend playing many cards together and learning how each other play so you can then work as a team to get to the lighthouse. Takes time and effort but its worth it when you finally make it to the lighthouse.
-
1 RispondiFind a good group of players and blow up their inbox when Trials comes around, 1 or 2 good players sometimes will get you far.
-
best against the best...all things being equal...it's not the weapons, it's the person using them and their knowledge and skill of the maps...like a good point guard in basketball...it's not the shoes...lol
-
Well it's suppose to be hard. But yes, some people will never see the lighthouse bc they aren't good enough. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that.
-
Modificato da XxnatonxX: 5/17/2016 5:47:13 PMYou feel bad? I went 8-1 two times the weekend just gone and the second time I got 8 wins I really thought I'd be going to the lighthouse, haha but of course that wouldn't happen because I ended up going against a player called SSPUPS, little did I know until my teammate told me he was number 1 in the world, so yeah, we got destroyed and I couldn't even comprehend how to start with.
-
1 RispondiIts tough as hell. My k/d in most gamr modes is 1.4 or higher, not great but ok. In ToO im lucky to scrape a 0.9. Alot of stiff competition in trials. Probably because the scrubs have stopped playing and only thr good players are left.
-
Set a goal for your self: Win 9 Skirmish games in a row. Low stress no toxicity surrounding it like Trials. By the end of it you will be ready to play Trials seriously.
