Because k/d means nothing when RNG loot drops. It's all about the loot and the fastest way to end-game reward screen.

I honestly don't care and like to try different load outs, because I want to have fun. Bottom line. Fun is not conforming to the meta, being sweaty, being mlg, finishing each game with a 4.0. Fun is playing whatever I'm comfortable with at that time, laughing with my clanmates.

I get the same problem with my cat, although he has managed to keep my titan's kd just above 1.00

In my case it's a combination of lack of skill (and patience) and always wanting to try new weapons. Sometimes they take a while to used to and sometimes they're just not competitive. I'm not a big "meta" user. :-)
