What do people look for in a montage?
I'm asking so I can make next montage of Iron Banner, better then my last one. Comment away! :D
I'd like some more "serious" responses now lol
One more thing. I'm not amazing at crucible. So to those suggesting crazy stuff, well it probably won't happen lol

1 RispondiOriginality, challenging situations, things people don't usually see. In one montage, a sniper proc'd the Perfectionist perk in PvP and that made me enjoy it.

It really depends on what kind of montage you want to do. Wanna do some try hard worth feats? Do something impressive, like take down a while team with just a sidearm clip. Funny moments and fails? Well, thats self explanatory. Do wathever fits you better :)

No editing that affects the color of the video. That stuff is horrible. Also no speeding up clips, and definitly no dubstep or techno

4 RisposteGo JJ Abrams on the lens flares. Include dubstep, a popular choice is Surface by Aerochord. Add tons of hitmarkers.

When you have maybe a slow motion effect with good video and music that can be nice. Also I love hunters I do but I feel like I'm always seeing montages with them...

Good editing The right ammount of editing flash, in the right places No techniques should be over used, no garbage screen wipes every 2 sec No black screens, not too many pauses or rewinds or fast forwards etc No 4min long ridiculous intros like you at the tower dancing and flying in all over, that shit is boring as hell The video should flow, along to music is cool but it can be intrusive if you try to match clips to beats and tempos too strictly music should set the pace but not dictate the location of clips ---you're trying to showcase your gameplay, not make a music video or show how many different 'cool' layovers and filters you can cram into the video There should be a little lead in before a kill you want to showcase, 1 or 2 sec is plenty, otherwise it just feels spastic and frenetic and hard to watch, more than that is too slow and boring In closing, editing should be invisible and unobtrusive. A mediocre play skill will look great with a good edit Amazing 1% mlg skill will look like shit with a bad edit. Go watch some snowboarding and skate or bmx or really any fast paced "quick hit" type sport and pay attention to how the video is edited there's usually very little editing crap in there
