Introduce an IB bounty for a guaranteed 320

I love grind for rank 5 as much as the next guy. And for that grind I love the rewards, but it's time for 320 Gear and Weapons to show up. I purpose a new bounty. One that unlocks once you get to rank 5. Simular to Iron Versatility and Iron Gauntlet by having to do multiple things to complete. Example Complete 30 IB matches Win 15 IB matches Get 50 Heavy Kills Complete 10 IB bounties Something like this is easily doable for those that grind IB regularly and will encourage people to keep playing after reaching rank 5. If not then Bungie seriously Consider increasing the Drop rate of 320's. A lot of us would like to reach it before the Light Level increase.

  • New content and a higher light level are right around the corner. I wouldn't worry about 320 any more. Besides, 320 isn't even necessary for anything currently in the game. It's nothing more than a number that says, "I got lucky via RNG".

      • It's too easy to hit rank 5 for there to be a guaranteed 320. I only played 20 games and had two characters hit rank 5. All you have to do is stock up on bounties and do it all on Sunday and Monday. But hey, if bungie gives out 320s for that, I won't complain.

      • Yeah, until they make some guarantees with the rank 5 packages I'm done with IB. A 310 Chest is ridiculous.

        • I have thought about this too. I was going to ask Bungie to add a Level 6 with a guaranteed 320 at the end. Either way, the number of players in the IB would increase and gamer satisfaction rates would go way up. The 320 would have to be something other than a ghost or rag. Otherwise, this would be just another disappointment. It might be time to do something positive for players that does not get everyone in the game world mad at Bungie. Either of these ideas would be a good start toward that goal.

          • I don't disagree it's just that they DO NOT CARE AND ACTIVELY DESIGNED THIS GAME TO MAX THE GRIND. I think activision made them do it, but they've obviously determined how long to delay likely max level so people will still log in and raid every week to get max light. I will maybe make level 5 on one character this time around. I just don't care to do it anymore. Game is stale, pvp is boring and broken. I have a 320 and two 319's. When they return SRL with possible 320 class items and helmets, I'm back until I get 2 class items and a helmet then I'm out until DLC.

              This will only happen if the next light level limit is about to be released or after the new limit is released. You are not meant to reach 320, but it is allowed only as a reason for you to follow to satisfy that completion itch. After 320, what next? One less reason to play the game, excluding the obvious main reason anyone plays any game: "fun".

                I think we should be getting at the very least a 320 ghost and/or a class armor out of iron banner. Since the raid is being stingy to a lot of players out there. I'm lucky enough to have 3 320 ghosts and grinded SRL for the 320 class items. Give us some sort of iron banner quest that guarantees a 320 item if the RNG is going to remain broken.

              • I love that people are saying doing a bounty like the one OP described in IB to get a 320 item is a handout. Okay cool, lets remove all guaranteed 320 drops from hard mode challenge shall we? I mean thats the same principle, do something specific and get a 320. Only difference is you can do that 3 times a week whereas you could only do IB 3 times a month.

                • Or just make the 320 for the 3rd character guaranteed if all get rank 5 That way people grind, Bungie gets play time and the players have a goal

                • Suggested this idea in another thread a few days ago. Definitely need an improved loot system. Getting drops that never exceed 289 light has made this my last iron banner. Just not worth the grind.

                  • That would be kinda cool. Like once you hit rank 5 on a character, you get a new bounty and when you complete it, you get a guaranteed random 320 item. One item per account. I think that is fair.

                  • In my opinion rank 5 package should drop 320 and after rank 5 all post game rewards should drop between 310-320. Iron banner may not be the hardest thing, but it does require some hours to do (a lot more than the raid). What is wrong with letting IB players earn a 320 once a month?

                    • Yes this needs to happen. I got only a 310 fusion rifle from my rank 5 package, so I essentially wasted my time.

                    • Iron banner is END GAME CONTENT that comes once a month. If you don't win you don't rank up. This needs better rewards. Period.

                    • It needs to be a guaranteed 320 for rank five package. Period. It's been said. You can get 3+ 320 in about 30 min with a checkoint. Why bother playing for a week to probably not get 1 320? Doesn't add up. And i won't even get into how much more than just a week of play it is either. Plus you still have to deal with what roll you get on that 320 item.

                    • Prior to TTK, the Iron Banner was a method to allow players to get max lvl gear without relying on completing a raid. Now unfortunately the progression is a total grind and is purely reliant on RNG. Three of the hardest items to obtain that is 310+ are helmets, class items and primary weapons. Two of the three are obtained only by defeating Oryx on hard but is not guaranteed due to the crappy RNG system in place. A bounty as OP mentioned would be a great idea as it is not a handout if you MUST play and MUST meet the requirements of the bounty. Time vs reward. Let us not forget that Iron Banner is only one week per month, where as Trials for example gets 16, that's right 16 days per month! 4 days per week, 4 weeks per month. So it is only fair that the items that are rewarded for completing the bounties are of max lvl tiers. But to each their own, these are my opinions.
