I've played destiny since the first week in 2014. I've done the raids, trials, iron banner, prison of elders, etc. I've mounted the heads of Skolas, Atheon, Crota, and most recently Oryx above my fireplace. I cried when I got Gjallahorn for the first time... Only to weep once again when it was nerfed to the ground. I've made new friends and new memories. At 14 cents an hour total in gameplay, I'd say I've gotten my money's worth.
But recently I've realized that this game has grown stale. More and more issues have been popping up in crucible and PvE. I've tried to look past the sweaties in crucible running year 1 party crashers, thorns, and felwinters. I've tried to ignore the increasing number of salty "MLG" raiders who kick you if you die more than once in the raid. I've moved on from the fact that my vision of confluence, Gjallahorn, and murmur (yes I used murmur) sit collecting dust in my vault. I've even continued to play through the fact that my original raid team have all left destiny in search of better games.
Bungie, I am a loyal fan and I love destiny despite all its problems, but if you want anyone to play Destiny 2 then you had better get your sugar honey iced tea together. Why do I think this? Because The Division is in a great place to usurp you.
I played both division betas, and loved every freaking second of it. It was in a word BETTER than destiny. Mechanics were awesome, no lag, bugs, or overpowered weapons. The graphics were off the hook, and the open world was better than your planet system. And I am not the only destiny player to think this. Heck, the whole world thinks it too.
Just give The Division a Google and you'll see that Destiny is about to have its *blank* rocked. So Bungie, what will you do to save yourself? How will you survive the great migration? Because it's been fun but you know what they say, "the grass is always greener on the other side", and in this case that is 100% accurate.
Edit 1: Damn over 400 responses. Thanks for taking the time to give me your take on this, you've all given me a lot to think about. Ps I'm also glad for the people bashing my opinion: it means that destiny still has loyal fans. Also I don't mean to trash destiny too bad, I still love the game and will play destiny 2, I just think that The Division has a good chance to capture the attention of tired destiny players looking for a fresh start.

I been so ready!!!!

I am :P PREORDERED and ready to play. I am ready to sell my Destiny disc
-
the 3rd person view in the division makes me sick
-
1 RispondiI'm rather waiting for Doom to come out. Destiny has killed my desire for loot based games.
-
Not me. Never again am I getting drawn into a loot/grind game.
-
Yep, I'm a Beta Destiny player and I feel exactly the same! I had more fun in the 2 days of The Division's open beta, than I have in the last 2 months of playing Destiny. It has become stale, it has become boring, and the tedious grind and fight against the games Broken and stupidly erratic RNG is no to the point where to be honest, I don't care about reaching 320! I tear through the game with ease at 319 so what's the point! I can't wait for The Division!!! And unless Bungie Buck their ideas up.... That's where I'll be staying ClassyGit

Really wondering what broken systems you guys are playing on. I can play multiple games on my console. And not a single game ever got mad at me for doing so.
-
I'm getting tired of this , yes division seems very promising and fun , but do people have to constantly portray this sentiment on destiny forums ?
-
There will be no gr8 migration sorry m8

Modificato da dnrobs: 2/29/2016 10:23:23 AMAnd in a few months time people will say the new destiny dlc will kill the division, hopefully for me I can play one until the other has new content.

I really haven't made up my mind about The Division. I didn't like the Beta too much, no content to play around with and that Dark Zone which felt quite boring. But hey it was a beta so who knows what they'll have in the final product. Think i'm gonna wait a few days and see the reviews and people's initial reactions to the game and not hop on board the hype-train.

Overwatch will be my promised land.
-
Destiny is very stale, but The Division isn't the answer, FOR ME. The beta was baby sh*t.
-
After this months shite Iron Banner drops I just might go try it out.

i can feel it. i agree with u about destiny and how it slowly went down pushing us to seek for other games. but hmm i dunno if the division can replace it. i played the beta lot if hours as u did and tbh my impression was not that exciting. it seems like we are patrolling NY getting random repetitive missions all around. hope the end game activities will be different. about pvp well i have to say it. at the very beginning it was cool -and different from other games- until u realize dark zone is just a place to grind for better gears. and grind again and again. not a real meaning and it becomes boring. to me is not enough to set apart destiny. i need more after playing it for about two years. lot of my friends who played the beta deleted their preorder of the division and i did the same. hope bungie will give us new fresh air and content cuz destiny is still a great game

The day EA has the most popular game is the day I quit gaming. Gr8 b&

It's gonna be fun for a couple weeks!

I have been watching videos about the Division and I can't help not to notice the bullet sponges in the AI enemies. Considering this game is more reality based. The low level enemies are not even " armored" and yet the player needs to burst fire for more the 1 time to bring the enemy down. Destiny on the other is fantasy based so I could understand some enemies could be bullet sponges.

I will be. I LOVE destiny PvP but the current CBMM or SBMM systems which have been put in place have made PvP pretty much unplayable.
-
Nope can't b arsed wit 3rd person
-
The pve will get dull quickly (as it does in destiny as well) . The pvp is just not that exciting. Will be interested to see what the end game content is but won't be buying it off the beta. Will read the reviews and want to know about the end game first . Not a major fan of TPS either and the gunplay wasn't very smooth . Might just wait for mass effect for my go to TPS experience .

7 RisposteThe Division beta was trash. The controls were awful, cluttered UI and boring gunplay.

Im in the same boat as u. I loved destiny. But am looking forward to playing the division. The beta was awesome!
