I've played destiny since the first week in 2014. I've done the raids, trials, iron banner, prison of elders, etc. I've mounted the heads of Skolas, Atheon, Crota, and most recently Oryx above my fireplace. I cried when I got Gjallahorn for the first time... Only to weep once again when it was nerfed to the ground. I've made new friends and new memories. At 14 cents an hour total in gameplay, I'd say I've gotten my money's worth.
But recently I've realized that this game has grown stale. More and more issues have been popping up in crucible and PvE. I've tried to look past the sweaties in crucible running year 1 party crashers, thorns, and felwinters. I've tried to ignore the increasing number of salty "MLG" raiders who kick you if you die more than once in the raid. I've moved on from the fact that my vision of confluence, Gjallahorn, and murmur (yes I used murmur) sit collecting dust in my vault. I've even continued to play through the fact that my original raid team have all left destiny in search of better games.
Bungie, I am a loyal fan and I love destiny despite all its problems, but if you want anyone to play Destiny 2 then you had better get your sugar honey iced tea together. Why do I think this? Because The Division is in a great place to usurp you.
I played both division betas, and loved every freaking second of it. It was in a word BETTER than destiny. Mechanics were awesome, no lag, bugs, or overpowered weapons. The graphics were off the hook, and the open world was better than your planet system. And I am not the only destiny player to think this. Heck, the whole world thinks it too.
Just give The Division a Google and you'll see that Destiny is about to have its *blank* rocked. So Bungie, what will you do to save yourself? How will you survive the great migration? Because it's been fun but you know what they say, "the grass is always greener on the other side", and in this case that is 100% accurate.
Edit 1: Damn over 400 responses. Thanks for taking the time to give me your take on this, you've all given me a lot to think about. Ps I'm also glad for the people bashing my opinion: it means that destiny still has loyal fans. Also I don't mean to trash destiny too bad, I still love the game and will play destiny 2, I just think that The Division has a good chance to capture the attention of tired destiny players looking for a fresh start.

The one thing that bungie did right was the control mechanics. No shooters out there feel like destiny, certainly not the division. Ill still play it, but it looks like itll get boring fast

They will release new content that will last like a month, but they will milk it as long as they can. They know they could release only one story mission, slap DLC on it, and people will still suck their dick.
-
I don't see it and wont be leaving. I found the beta boring and the gunplay lacking. For those that do leave, it will be a short migration.
-
5 RisposteI played both Betas. I must be missing something.

7 RisposteDivision is everything destiny was supposed to be before it gets wiped and rushed into what we have now. Don't believe me? I dare you to Google or YouTube destiny e3 footage. Destiny was supposed to be massive open areas where you just come across other players. Btw fair warning if you watch the e3 footage it'll piss you off because you'll be like "wtf where's that destiny " because it would have been amazing . Anyway ttk was a let down so I'm glad the division is here to save me till the fall dlc that I may or may not get.

I've been playing Souls games rather frequently. Personallt not a fan of shooters, but can't wait for the Division. I wodh there were more games like the Souls series though, that didn't hold your fvckin' hand when your trying to get through a quest. Old school gaming at its finest.

Speak for yourself.

I just wonder if there will be other gamemodes than just looting people in the darkzone. I hope options like tdm dom etc can be selected

8 Risposte
"the grass is always greener on the other side", and in this case that is 100% accurate.
You use this statement. I don't think it means what you think it means.

I have gone from total excitement about the Division (pre beta) to having no plans of even buying it (post beta). Destiny has already lost most of us, the Division will take a few more maybe but it won't change much. I think Division will fizzle in two months max.
-
Divison isnt taking any player base. You will get bored VERY fast. Remember that as you sit in silence too guily to return to destiny after you have divison completed
-
1 RispondiJust my opinion played the beta and division kinda blows
-
How about...
-blam!- them both
Bye, have wonderful time!

Modificato da InfernalDemise: 2/27/2016 5:10:00 PMOr they're just video games and not life commitments, and I can enjoy both like a normal person.

I can't wait. The division can't come soon enough so I can stop hearing about it.

when march 8th hits... im gonna be spending very little time on destiny as ive done 99.99% of what there is to do there.. the only thing im missing is a pair of trials gloves for my hunter and grimoire for doubles, salvage, and rumble... and quite frankly.. im not sure how much I really care to grind for it anymore... Destiny is gonna have to do a lot to keep me away from Division.. I will of course come back at least temporarily for the spring update... but when you get down to brass tacks... Division is such a better game... the gunplay is more strategic and in my mind much more satisfying... I like the slower pace... I like the dark zone... and you can actually build a character... Destiny is a FPS with very minor RPG/MMO elements... Division is much closer to an RPG just on a shooter play style... so much more satisfying.

Pvp people will not go to this game...but people that play pve will be playing! I will play both

This guy is ready

I am, and I will still play destiny for new content only. As of now, the game lacks content.
