Anyone else find IB too sweaty? Can we go back to SBMM now, please?
Whatever the system is right now, it is the worst I have seen yet. I have seen more red bars (and many of them clearly going red just when you shoot at them, they move like teleporting and suddenly you die, sometimes they die 10 seconds later and you get credit somehow). Where in previous IBs it was close to 50/50 wins for my team, this time it is much much worse. Seems there's at least two or three people in every game who are unstoppable elites.
SEDIT: Sweaty is the wrong word. The games were mostly 2-3 players slaughtering everyone with vast point differentials between elits and normals. Being average means no fun. just a slaughter where we are the cattle.

Matches do seem all around tougher to me, which seems odd since the whole point of all this chaos was to reduce stress, but losses, more often than not, feel deserved and wins certainly feel earned, which… is also not what was intended with these patches. I'm so confused right now. But I'm enjoying this IB tho. Hoping for good role on the sniper.

12 RispostePlaying with people who are better than you is a humbling experience. Learn from it. Adapt. I haven't been going higher than 1.7 in any game. Played with some good players. You improve more from getting your ass handed to you every once in awhile.

And have all these elites go against players of the same skill level and having to actually work for their precious K/D instead of running rampart in the Crucible against no competition. We can't have that sir!! That is too logical and these forums are not for logical issues.

Not sure what Bungie developers are doing. IB this time is NEITHER skill based or connection based. Other than the color of the "connection indicator" I have yet to see a real difference. 1) So I have 220 - 270 light level players in the lobby. Had those last IB as well. 2) So I have fewer "red bar" players in the lobby (1-2 versus 3-5 last IB). There are still wild teleportation's and damage not recording so what exactly changed? 3) What is up with the increase in 1v6 and 2v6 matches? I only had one EVER in every IB since May 2015. I have had 2 in 2 days this IB. Seeing 5 or 6 ships travel with you in the loading screen only to materialize by myself is NOT competitive.

I'm actually having fun. For someone who doesn't pvp that much and has a k/d of about .5, I've gone positive almost every game on my Titan and warlock...I'm REAL bad with my hunter though.

They have widened the skill range for matchmaking so there can be a bigger difference between the best and worst in a match made connection a higher priority but it is still sbmm. You shouldn't get top tier against complete beginners IB tends to be sweatier with more fireteams than regular crucible and you may find yourself against players better than you if you are in a fireteam with friends who are better than you at pvp. Also you may be against people who are better at pvp if they are teamed with people who are worse than them I was definitely losing more in IB than in regular clash but I didn't see very unbalanced games. The only games I got hammered on was because I was making too many mistakes. By the way, I am crap at pvp so I am definitely playing in the scrub leagues in sbmm

Totally agree. I'm new to cruicible but i really enjoyed the last two. This one had just been an awful grind and not enjoyable at all. Elite teams wrecking shop against average joe solo players like me. On one of my alts last night i ran a 15 defeat streak. This is a game it's meant to be fun. This isn't fun. I am going to stick to it (my apologies to anyone matched with me) but I hope the next one is a lot better matched than this. Ps Lag is even worse this time than the last two. Plus on my Titan I'm rank 4 and I've had nothing but crap drops.

3 RisposteI don't know what's going on but connections seem to fluctuate throughout the match. Everyone is green bar at the start and once the match starts a few players go yellow or straight to red bar. As the match progresses some of the red bar players are now green bar and the original green players have now become yellow or red bar. I thought hard wiring was supposed to make a difference? I was WIFI up until about a month ago. Now I'm hard wired and my connection still goes red bar once in awhile. I have great internet and have open NAT etc etc.

agreed, my win percentage thus far is 27% which is really bad luck/fortune or skills are so wide ranging it is hard to get a leg up. The only way to get consistent wins was with a team of 6 last night.

You do realize it is still SBMM it just connection is supposed to be prioritized, honestly you will see red bars like crazy in less the game goes too 100% connection based. Also I feel like a lot of the red bars have been showing up due to the Damage referee. Playing other modes I do not see as many red bars as I do in IB.
