Is Doctrine Of Passing Overpowered?
Serious question, I wanna know what everyone thinks. This gun became a lot more popular in the crucible as it just dropped from trials this weekend. In my opinion the other auto rifle archetypes need a buff.

The med and low need love the high one needs what ever the .% it's missing and it be great

Modificato da DH240: 2/25/2016 1:27:17 PMNope no other reason about it if anything other guns need a buff to balance everything specifically fusion rifles, low rate of fire auto rifles, shotguns (not to much though), and pulse rifles back to the way they were in the beginning of TTK.

I don't think it's overpowered by any means, however I do agree that the mid RoF and low RoF archetypes need some kind of love

My only issue with it is the range at which you can kill at. It still does decent damage at range and with persistence it is very accurate There were a few times yesterday I got outgunned at mid to long range with a scout against doctrine and I landed every headshot It may have been lag but it seemed like whatever the range I couldn't win a 1 v 1

It is not really OP in that it should melt in close range, what I noticed using mine with rangefinder for the first time that with range finder is has almost no fall off. so I would be melting people with heads hots at mid to long range, They need to adjust or remove rangefinder from the gun so that it is leveled out. My doctorine with out range finder seemed fine.

2 RisposteNot really. It's just that all other autorifles aren't as relevent. If they had given autorifles that 4% buff, you'd see more than just DoP, but since they do butt booty damage in general, the most relevent archetype is the low impact high RoF autorifles, Doctrine being one of the top of its reapective archetype. It's also more relevent in this sniper/scout meta. It makes screens pop up and down, so it can mess with these type of player's aim. Outgunning an autorifle usually means out strafing them in most cases, and strafing with a scout and/or sniper is very difficult. It's basically relevent in this particular meta. If handcannons came back as top weapons or autorifles came back, it won't be as relevent.

1 RispondiFew times I believed I got the jump on some players, only to find out that in fact, they fired first but it's not noticed because of the lag. It's so frustrating but it is what it is sometimes. Not going to lie though, I enjoy pvp (non-regular) more now because I have Doctrine. It's not as strong as Atheon's Epilogue (which I use in regular Crucible) but it's such a fun gun to use.

I have been getting spit roasted by it in IB, mainly 'cause I don't have any decent weapons. On thaw small maps it's tough.

Well, as always people gravitate towards what works. I do not think it is op. It is extremely effective when it's used at the correct range. Dop and arminius d are just good guns.

2 RisposteHell yeah it is, I don't understand how it trumps all the other autos and even TLW, bungie really let the archetype of fast fire rate autos dominate. I just hate the flinch it provides, it's low impact so shouldn't hit that hard, suros should hit hard

I agree the others need a slight buff, I don't think DoP is OP at all. Reminds me of vanilla AR's that were actually somewhat viable in the crucible.
