Bungie should change that stats from k/d to wins and zones captured.
People post about their k/d is misleading and tainted.
Here is a simple argument... is it more important to win the match or protect your k/d stats?
How many time you see players don't cap zones nor pick up the sparks etc. Those are the same people is protecting their k/d stats.
Let's make it simple would you sacrifice to win for the team??? Would you die so your spark runner can light them up? Would you hold the zone so your team can have an advantage???
Here is the truth the question is can you handle the truth???

If you went 5 and 20 in control but think you contributed to the win because you had 4 captures, you are a -blam!-tard.....
-
What if you have an above average kd in crucible but are also in top 5% in assists, zones captured and defends?
-
What about clash, skirmish, doubles, trials, and rumble? Non-objective based gamemodes.

14 RisposteHere is my stance on kd. I only care about mine. That's it. Yours does not matter to me one bit. I play PvP for fun so even winning doesn't matter to me. Unless it's IB then I'm serious about that but not too much. But I do play the objective if there is one.

It depends on the game mode. But if you get good stats in rift and lose it doesn't mean shit. And if you get a lot of kills and don't capture and lose, it also doesn't mean shit. You can still play good and lose though, it matters if you are winning your engagements or not and sometimes your team doesn't play well. But its not about k/d, it's about playing the game right, some games you might need to be the one doing the little things to get the win.

Kd means a lot especially in clash rumble skirmish and control of the other team or player gets all positive kds your team won't win
-
KD gets brought up when it comes to trials because well that's the point of trials. You get kills and try not to die. /thread

9 RisposteIt's odd that you never see players with a good k/dr post these topics...

0.9 Figures.

Well the thing is if you have a good kd, then that means you are playing well and controlling an area. What if if the area was the spark zone or your home , isn't that playing the objective and being useful? And most of the time iron banner is clash or control and you need a good kd for map control or just to win. And for trials it straight up elimination with revives, so you need a positive kd to win. Most of the time.
-
In rift it's meaningless and in control it matters but it's not the most important thing. Everything else though it matters. So to some extent I agree, if kd is super important to you then you shouldn't play in those playlists. Tired of going into control and nobody will rush or try to hold the zones is rediculous.

Every stat means something. Go to destinytracker.com if you want to see zones capped/neutralized along with every other stat you could think of. According to bungie's matchmaking system, Elo is the most important stat.

As long as u get 1 kill per death Idc cuz then u will at least trade with the enemy
