Bungie should change that stats from k/d to wins and zones captured.
People post about their k/d is misleading and tainted.
Here is a simple argument... is it more important to win the match or protect your k/d stats?
How many time you see players don't cap zones nor pick up the sparks etc. Those are the same people is protecting their k/d stats.
Let's make it simple would you sacrifice to win for the team??? Would you die so your spark runner can light them up? Would you hold the zone so your team can have an advantage???
Here is the truth the question is can you handle the truth???

You people need to play solo in IB. Instead of fireteam of your friends or clan mates. Let's face it... Can you go in to a game in progress already and turn it around? I have joined IB games last night 80% of them are in progress because players left. I would rather go in solo because I want to play with guys that are short handed. Can you do that?

5 RisposteHaving a negative kd means you die more than you kill. Having a positive kd means you kill more than you die. But that doesn't mean someone with a negative kd isn't as skilled as someone with a positive. And it also doesn't mean someone with a positive kd is more skilled as someone with a negative.

6 RisposteSo if what you say is true why does my win % crush yours? This just seems like you want to make an excuse of why you aren't that good at pvp. Instead of doing that get better.
-
6 RisposteLmao. Do you consider yourself an "objective player" because you have a shit kd? You go for the win instead of kills? Then explain your 39% win percentage.... Lel. Even if dtr changed their stats, you'd still look like a scrub...
-
Someone has to slay. This say it means nothing is ridiculous and of course I checked yours and I'm not surprised. Not saying mine is the greatest but I'm not the one dismissing a good KD
-
Typical.......
-
What if I only play Clash, Skirmish, or Rumble? Don't be a dumbass.

What about clash?

2 RisposteYour "truth" doesn't make a lot of sense. Lets use Rift as an example. Let’s say I go in and have a stat line of 30 kills and 10 deaths (that’s a high KD) and don’t pick up the spark 1 time. Your message is implying that I’m not helping the team. When in reality I’m providing more help to the team then the person that’s holding the spark with the highest score. Doesn’t make any sense does it? Well, let me ask you this. Do you honestly think my spark runner is going to grab the spark if I’m spending more time grabbing it then slaying everything on the other team? Jamming into the spark to just die to a team shot doesn’t help anything. You need people who will get the angles and provide cover fire. Those people are allowing that player with the 10K score to get the spark in the first place. You have to understand you need people who slay, cap zones, and anchor. Sure. You might have those players that have 10 kills and 5 deaths not trying to cap zones who are actively trying to stay away from B. But are they your anchor? Ensuring the enemy doesn’t spawn behind you? Is your team hilariously outmatched? Because smashing your head into B repeatedly isn’t helping the team if you just die from a team shot and are not capable of actually capping anything. Maybe he is waiting for his teammates before pushing while everyone else is trying to solo cap without paying attention to the other 5 players on his/her team. There have actually been matches where my team has camped 1 zone and still won. Mainly because B is too hard to cap and we can take advantage of the better spawn and out-slay the other team. Don’t just assume people only care about KD in a match. Each match has different objectives and people play to their strengths based on how the match is progressing. There was actually a Rift match recently where my team got dismantled. But somehow I had a stat line of 25-14? (I might have only died 12 times) and everyone else on my team had a KD under 1 with a high of 13 kills. Are you trying to say I’m not helping my team and only care about my KD? I was the only player capable of getting out of our spawn let alone grab the spark.
-
I'm top 3% in zones captured and have a horrible kd
-
I think they should have reset kd,with taken king . My kd sucks, but I go positive at least 7 out of ten games. But I'm 1000 kills away from being positive. And it goes down every week. Monitor changes the game
-
3 RisposteExcept k/d relies solely on you. Win/loss relies on your teammates, witch 9/10 times suck
-
All I know is, I'll never take Destiny PvP serious. Why? No ranking system. The fact that people have to go on 3rd party websites to look at something so simple as a KD, let's me know everything. Do I still try my best? Of course. But the go hards doing gamer tag checks on ToO need to check why they ain't get they d*** wet since their last shower.

10 RisposteModificato da lllXboxJuanlll: 2/22/2016 5:03:15 PMAt the very LEAST a 1.0 does... If you can't kill someone every time you do it just means your making mistake after mistake...
-
2 RisposteYou wouldn't cap zones if someone on your team wasn't slaying and letting you live long enough to do it. Capping zones doesn't give you map control or shut down the other teams heavy and supers. You also don't need to cap a zone to win so... Kills are more important.
-
Again it happened last night in IB. Folks are sniping or waiting in the spawn for super so they can do k/d farming, instead of helping the team to win. I'm going say again your k/d means nothing if you can't be a team player to win.

1 RispondiWhat about trials

2 RisposteSunsinger has exactly a 1.0 k/d, yet the past couple weeks, we've seen the majority of the nerfs calls for them. So my point is, if k/d is so important, why would the subclass with precisely a 1.0 k/d get called out for needing a nerf? Wouldn't it make sense to nerf the class with a better k/d? The answer in my opinion is maybe k/d isn't as important as it seems and the poster is correct.
-
It does in clash or maybe skirmish
-
That's all about team dynamics you watch any competitive teams play they got there slayer type players who are meant to kill and attack points while the obj will play defense on the flags and hold points. And in destiny holding two flags mean nothing if you are always dying. I've seen enough teams have two flags and lose
-
Ive won matches while only holding one zone. Besides, capping zones is easy. Try protecting them.
-
I love these threads. They bring out the most charming people.
-
It's true I am a pretty good pvp player but when I play with friends I duck around and die a ton do my kd looks like crap
-
It kinda does, pit a team with .6 kds with a team of 2.0 kds and see who plays any obj gametype better.
-
I don't understand why people need to justify the fact that they suck by making these kinds of posts. When called out, they always say; "it's sad that you care about how good you are at a game". Even though they're telling themselves that they're good just to make themselves feel better. It's also funny how everyone with a high KD is a 'camper' in the 'objective player''s opinion. I never get bored of these threads.

LOL rather kill people around B point than die for capturing suiciding on the point. K/d does matter
