Why do so many people think that black spindle is needed for a raid?
I see many people on lfg sites looking for people with black spindle. Why? Ye I know that the weapon has great impact, but it doesn't really matter. Every time we die after we've damaged a boss in the raid, e.g. Warpriest and golgoroth, I view the dps made by each person.
With a 1000 yard stare, I did more overall damage than all of my other friends with a black spindle.
I read a post about a guy who had a 320 black spindle, then switched it to a rare 280 weapon, yet still killed the warpriest in two tries. This proves that no matter what legendary or rare year two sniper you use, black spindle is not superior and NOT needed for a raid.

I agree with you a good stare with reload speed perks is just as good UNLESS your a sniping master who never misses a head shot. I'm not a good sniper and i can miss a couple times on war priest and with only a 3 round mag and slow reload I probably do more damage with a stare than my spindle. however like a lemming I pull it out on Warpriest all the time. However on Golgaroth the spindle rules just because the hit box is so big you can't miss.

One dude with black spindle isn't going to make a huge difference. A whole team with black spindle? You can almost down the warpriest before he breaks the first totem.

You dont have to reload so constant dps if you don't miss . That's the reason I use it .

I agree with everything but the "Black Spindle is not superior" it most definitely is superior to other snipers in the raid, just not a nessecity.

Not needed, but like Gjally it gets stuff done faster. Hell I've completed KF with only 1kys, just prefer Black Spindle because it makes it easier. Imo

Doesn't matter, spindle is second best dps anyways. If you've got the touch, you've got the power.

Personally I think that if the high RoF snipers had better reloads, stability, and ammo capacity, they could outclass high impact snipers. I did it once on golgoroth, and I did some decent DPS, but ammo was always a problem.

Modificato da Novabox: 1/18/2016 6:45:41 PMBecause it takes a little skill to get that gun to begin with, unless of course you're being carried. Also, it does very good DPS. It's certainly not necessary for the raid, but when grouping up with a bunch of randoms it seems to help.

Nothing is needed for a raid if you really think about it. Sometimes people just want to do stuff easy. The thing that spindle brings is no reloading so basically a semi automatic sniper

I think he is just mad cause he can't get it, so trying to make himself feel better for not being able to beat the mission. I'm just mad they dropped it down to 290, but was nice being able to buy them at 300 and infuse all my specials up that first week.

Black Spindle has the highest DPS out of all the snipers. The problem is that people using it tend to be too slow to dip in the weapons bubble and hit another headshot before losing their bonus mag. 1K stare users have the reloading interval to walk back in the bubble and refresh the weapons buff. If nobody used the buff and everyone hit all headshots, you would see BS have a higher DPS.

If you're doing more damage with a 1000 yard then your friends have amazingly bad aim. You can put 2 extra shots on spindle while 1000 yard reloads, adds up to 5+ extra shots

It's not for everyone and best is hard to say, but theoretically it has the highest damage per second for a special weapon as you don't have to reload and it has the highest impact among y2 snipers

I have 320 spindle but have switched to using 320 sleeper with 12 shots and a 320 1kys much more dmg on warpreist golg not to sure yet
