So the Destiny subreddit has long been a bastion of support for the game.
Any negative post was quickly down voted.
But then something amazing happened: gradually it took much less up votes for a post to make the front page.
Now negative threads are commonly on the front page.
Even long time supporters and self acknowledged fan boys are upset, or simply leaving all together. What was once one of the top 20 subreddits now has much, much less activity.
Do something right for a change bungie. You're now alienating the desticles.
TL;DR the community for a game just over 1.25 years old shouldn't be this bitter, but it is, with good reason.
Edit 1:
Bungie claims 25 million "registered users" (whatever that means) but the pvp tracking sites are only reporting 500,000 to 1 million players a day.
Assuming 1 million are on a day, that's still only 4% of the player base bungie claims.
So either bungie is being deceptive with their numbers and what constitutes an actual customer, or the community is clearly dying, seeing as only 4% are still playing.
Which is it?

Tries to prove something to be positive through negativity lol

1 RispondiI still play because I enjoy it. If I didnt, I'd stop and leave. Why does everyone make such a big deal over something so -blam!-ing simple?
-
One million is assuming they're the same people. I'm on maybe twice a week for 4 hours. That's all Destiny really needs to be considered active.
-
A mil or half that per day? I think destiny will be fine.
-
Who gives a $hit if its dying or not why do you care or have to make a post about it?

Modificato da Erijian: 1/7/2016 3:47:35 AM
but the pvp tracking sites are only reporting 500,000 to 1 million players a day.
For PvP alone; that's pretty good for a console game that's been around so long. Anyway I just checked the subreddit and there's only two negative posts on the front page which equals 8% of all 25 (Not counting pinned posts). Geez, OP.

13 Risposte25M registered users was a meaningless stat though. That included people who rented it and never bought it, people who played it for a week at Vanilla and returned or sold it, it really means nothing. Game sales chartz shows TTK sold about 1M physical discs across all platforms so if we are generous and assume they sold the same amount digitally (which is probably a stretch) but that means that they only retained about 15% of their original audience from Vanilla which is pretty bad. Assuming that maybe 50% of people who bought TTK are still playing their player base is dwindling and will continue to. I assume they will slowly let Destiny 1 die as they prepare to release Destiny 2 as per the cycle with COD and such. Cosmetic events and no announced DLC are going to kill Destiny 1 by summer for sure (and more competition coming).

It really isn't dying. Every playlist is active and has tons of players even more the new world events.
-
What about those of us who don't PvP everyday? I normally only iron banner and trials for packages. Nothing else
-
You forget about the concept of the silent majority. Ever since day one the majority of destiny players haven't been speaking or being vocal, so some players just joined that majority is all.

4 RisposteThis game is going downhill. However, it's not like theres a better game other then Fallout 4.
-
Think you meant .4 percent lololo
-
Man you are more of a desticle and fanboy than those you call by that name. If i have to tell you why it reinforces my point.
-
You are someone who constantly follows Destiny subreddit and cares enough to make this thread...yet YOU are not a desticle? Interesting

Give ya meat a good ol rub

I just look at my dwindling friends list where it use to be 6 to 7 pages daily to 10 people on tuesdays. Personally the desticles leaving is the best thing that could happen to this game.

4 RisposteIt's silly to think that everyone who touches the game is going to stay. 1 million is still a respectable amount of players. ~TheGreatNike

Hardcore destiny players are just taking a break they'll be back once there is a content announcement.
-
already did

I'd say track the pve activity as well. Considering that's what this game was meant to be based around. The percentage of people who have even accomplished rank 1 in pvp is not even half the users. It's a repeated them on other posts in the past. People are playing other games. But I am already seeing some friends come back from fallout and Bo3 so I guess we will see

25 million registered users is a deceiving statistic. That's how many accounts have " played" Destiny. Whether it's daily or only one time they are a "registered user". People that downloaded the demo but never bought the game are considered "registered users". That's a bullshit stat Bungie threw out there to impress investors.
-
Wouldn't a customer constitute anyone that had purchased the game. Seems simple to me.

1 RispondiI have around 90 to 110 people on every time I'm on so?
