So the Destiny subreddit has long been a bastion of support for the game.
Any negative post was quickly down voted.
But then something amazing happened: gradually it took much less up votes for a post to make the front page.
Now negative threads are commonly on the front page.
Even long time supporters and self acknowledged fan boys are upset, or simply leaving all together. What was once one of the top 20 subreddits now has much, much less activity.
Do something right for a change bungie. You're now alienating the desticles.
TL;DR the community for a game just over 1.25 years old shouldn't be this bitter, but it is, with good reason.
Edit 1:
Bungie claims 25 million "registered users" (whatever that means) but the pvp tracking sites are only reporting 500,000 to 1 million players a day.
Assuming 1 million are on a day, that's still only 4% of the player base bungie claims.
So either bungie is being deceptive with their numbers and what constitutes an actual customer, or the community is clearly dying, seeing as only 4% are still playing.
Which is it?

attention whoring is still whoring.
-
I-I could only care enough to tell you that I don't care...
-
5 Risposte25 million have played it. Over 1 million averaged over December per day. That's more than every call of duty combined. That's 14 times what halo 5 has. That is barely under the number of people who bought fallout four.
-
yeah, i can see what you mean. Destiny is pretty much "come for the PvE, stay for the PvP" and its pvp has been getting.... bleh. Dedicated servers man.
-
Well it's never really dead if bungie fans are still playing. Activision might not like a decrease in sales but Destiny fans will stay around and that's all that matters. Destiny has come a long ways, and it has a long way to go, I'm down for the long haul!
-
1 million a day doesn't seem dead...
-
I feel like bungo is waiting so long to release destiny 2 so they can sell destiny off of "nostalgia" they want people to leave so that destiny 2 seems more valuable. Idk conspiracies haha
-
One million is more than the population of the 3rd largest state
-
4 RisposteSays game is dying, just played yesterday. At least it lasted longer than halo 5.
-
Only thing I will say is that they say 25 mil people have made accounts. average users a day is completely different. Cs go for example averages like 800k a day. And that's one of the most popular games on pc.
-
9 RisposteThey claimed registered , not active. So what's your issue ? And it's probably not the same 1 million every day. Sure, everybody knows there's not 25 mil active players , that's just Activision spicing their quarterly earnings reports up. They do it with COD all the time. The sub reddit is still one of the most popular on Reddit which says something . You seem to bash the game a lot . Just let it go. It's a video game . If you don't like it , move on and play another . Why come here repeatedly and waste your time with pointless posts? Your either a troll or your just pathetic . If people still enjoy playing a 'dying ' game , leave them in peace.
-
That's what happens when you take away Gjallarhorn. See ya.
-
This is a game. What do I care if people play or not?
-
Im still playing lol...

8 RisposteMore importantly 25,000,000 multiplied by 60 would mean that Bungie has made at least $1.5 billion dollars off of Destiny. Considering the budget for the entire 10 year career of Destiny has been tripled in one game that is pretty astonishing. This doesn't even take into account HoW, TDB, TTK and microtransactions. Of course Activision takes part of these profits but that is still quite a bit of money. The Carlton couldn't be free right? Bungie needs constant money right?

Behold! The field in which I grow my -blam!-s. Lay thine eyes upon it and thou shalt see that it is barren.

Yea we all stopped throwing money at the screen a while ago.

1 RispondiYou must be that guy that smells like piss and shouts "the end is near!" Like I've been hearing so much about.
-
9 RisposteSorry to burst your bubble but EVERY game dies.....not sure why people think Destiny should be any different.
-
Is that specifically just PvP getting tracked? I play almost every day, but I almost never play PvP. This may boost the numbers a bit.

Modificato da Lokey0024: 1/7/2016 3:57:46 AMHasnt this game survived 2 cod titles, a Bethesda juggernaut, and Bloodborne ZomB
-
1 RispondiProof that Destiny is dying; The community. Douche bags, kids, and trolls like me.
-
4 RisposteU sure it's not 0.04% of the registered players left?
-
9 RisposteOH HEY GUYZ, ANOTHER DESTINY IS DYING THREAD! IT MUST BE TRUE, EVEN THOUGH THIS HAPPENS EVERY DAY! THIS IS THE POST, YOU GUYS, THIS IS THE ONE THAT'S SERIOUS AND ACTUALLY PROVES IT, EVEN THOUGH IT'S JUST ANOTHER REPEAT. In all seriousness, a year and a quarter is a very damn respectable time for a game to survive before people become bitter, and the game's not dying at all. The numbers are still high, people bitch as they have the game booted on their console and just finished a strike. Stop posting this same thread over and over again.

5 RisposteModificato da EARWAK3R: 1/7/2016 3:24:06 AMHeres a fact. None of it matters. Reddit opinions, youtubers, forum haters, people leaving, stats. It comes down to 1 question and 2 options "Am I having fun?" Yes: Keep playing No: Move on to another game The essence of gaming is 'fun' everything else is irrelevent. For me, im still interested, my friends list is still very active. I get everything i need done without issue. For me as a fan destiny is very much alive. But to each their own.

Tries to prove something to be positive through negativity lol
