So the Destiny subreddit has long been a bastion of support for the game.
Any negative post was quickly down voted.
But then something amazing happened: gradually it took much less up votes for a post to make the front page.
Now negative threads are commonly on the front page.
Even long time supporters and self acknowledged fan boys are upset, or simply leaving all together. What was once one of the top 20 subreddits now has much, much less activity.
Do something right for a change bungie. You're now alienating the desticles.
TL;DR the community for a game just over 1.25 years old shouldn't be this bitter, but it is, with good reason.
Edit 1:
Bungie claims 25 million "registered users" (whatever that means) but the pvp tracking sites are only reporting 500,000 to 1 million players a day.
Assuming 1 million are on a day, that's still only 4% of the player base bungie claims.
So either bungie is being deceptive with their numbers and what constitutes an actual customer, or the community is clearly dying, seeing as only 4% are still playing.
Which is it?

Modificato da brr-icy: 1/7/2016 8:07:45 AMWe do need a content drop, but I still have 30-40 friends online on it that have stuff i can help with. For myself, I'm done them quests and stiff, just getting the last batch of yr 1 exotics back, can do that with marks Lol

1 RispondiBungie doesn't charge a sub fee they push to sell expansions. Doesnt matter if 500000 play a day or 2 million. Their job is to promote the next dlc. So much stupidity here lol
-
2 RisposteA game that is over 1 year old pulling those numbers is outstanding.
-
1 RispondiDestiny will never die and 500000 to 100000 players a day is tons

I was a fanboy and would defend destiny till death like a true fanboy but now I don't care anymore. Nothing to do and no new dlc coming out no point for me to continue playing. When destiny 2 launches maybe I'll buy it but knowing that its infinityward turn for a call of duty I might not even remember about destiny. I'll miss my warlock but sometimes you just have to let go and move on to better stuff aka games.

Funny how I lost interest in cod faster than destiny I played it I did prestige once and got bored I play just so I can see my emblem ( which is ruby rose ) and when I want a quick match I've been playing destiny for over a year and it's still drawing me Sure I got bored at one point but that was what the witcher was for Then I comeback for ttk and hey I'm still playing Whether it's PvE or PvP Or just simply laughing my ass of in the tower with friends Cod only has one thing good That's multiplayer Zombies it gets boring after a couple of games when I've already gone far but died and I'm starting over Campaign it's crap Didn't even finish it When I created my character and started on a multiplayer map I was done Destiny has multiple things to offer and it has things like iron banner that brought back my team Sure both get boring but what doesn't And to the people who say " who still plays this game " then what do you play???

1 000 000 players login daily during this dry content time is a thing alot of MMO developers only dream about.

12 RisposteModificato da Bluntchief: 1/7/2016 7:46:24 AMWas a fanboy for the longest time. I constantly defended this game, but I'm done know. I honestly don't see how people still play this game, because there's absolutely nothing left to do. Coming from a PvPer, crucible is complete trash now also.
-
The number of recent games that people continue to play regularly this long after release is very small indeed, so to that effect Destiny is actually in a very esteemed group
-
Reddit can suck my ass
-
Being a registered user is as simple as having bought and played (or played at a friends house with your GT/PSN) the game for any amount of time. That's it. Actually playing is an entirely different matter.
-
Only 330,000 people have played trials since the elo was put in
-
99% of the fanbase quit before the dark below.

1 RispondiThey have a good way of putting out the content they want people to hear. They didn't put out daily numbers, as that might shock some people, so they put out that cryptic 25 million number which doesn't answer a dam thing. They know they are losing players, which is fine. Happens to all games that are old like this and unless they come back and produce quality content, this game will dwindle and fade out. They made their money, and then some. I would not be surprised if they just called it here, while they are ahead.

11 RisposteOh look, another "Destiny is dying" thread. How many of these have we had in the last year, and how often have any of them been right? Get lost.
-
1 RispondiSo why is it always in the top 5 games played in the xbox store most played game and most of the time top 3, black ops fallout 4 and fifa 16 are there with it. Being blops and fallout are fairly new and soccer is the most popular and most played sport in the world.
-
1 Rispondi25 mil playing a day... Ya right...
-
1 RispondiNot gonna lie I have been a long time 'fanboy' of this game. Recently however I will agree that this game is so boring! Bungie hasn't really tried to fix eat either. I love this game to death but now its starting to feel like a bitter memory.
-
Don't care
-
This game will never die. It's the ultimate casual video game.
-
stll has tons of players. poor you
-
2 RisposteI have been summoned
-
1 Rispondi1 million on a day....... Not always the same people everyday but still hits that number daily......highest played game
-
A million players a day is among the highest daily player counts in gaming. This game still has a ludicrous amount of players.
-
attention whoring is still whoring.
