I won't make this post a wall of text like I usually do. The title says it all. Leave your opinions. Or we could possibly turn this into a community project, so leave your ideas below.
I'd even be willing to buy this new character (as I've done in many RPG's)
Edit: I'm talking about a new class! A new elemental subclass would be great too. But my main focus is a new class (character)
Edit: why you (Bungie) should make a new (4th) playable character.
Most gamers are going to buy that new character. That's obvious.
You like money, so let's talk money.
Let's say you have 200,000 people playing your game. 100,000 of those people play religiously.
(Obviously my numbers are random, not even estimates. You know your actual numbers)
You release that character for $5, 100,000 people buy it. That's $500,000 you just made. Release it for $10. That's 1 million.
Obviously you should read your numbers. The price of the character should cohere with the amount of people you estimate will buy it.
If you don't think many people will buy it, sell it for more, so you're not losing revenue.
If you think 3/4 of the people who play your game will buy it, obviously it needs to be a very fair price.
I myself don't play daily anymore. Even I would buy a new fourth character just to experience something different. Give me something to actually work at, instead of just throwing me to RNG. That's getting old, fast. I'd honestly play more if I wasn't bored with my current characters.

I'd rather have more 3 subclasses for the existing 3 classes, they could easily make it so that each class has 1 offensive subclass and 1 defensive / support subclass from each element.
-
How dare you ask Bungie to do actual work. You will be banned tomorrow for sho.

Modificato da meatballsublime: 1/7/2016 8:04:51 PMI think the "Money Sheep" class would be a good idea. His super could be that he runs up to all enemies and throws money at them. Casting the super then guaranties immediate victory in Crucible or immedate completion of the current objective with a message that says: "Congratulations, you paid to win, Guardian!" ...plus, casting the super would also grant all max gear upon first use. ...You can then buy this new character class via 200,000,000 silver...
...I really hope you don't have to ask if I am joking...

...You know you want a meatball sub now...
2 RisposteThe community would call any new class OP and call for a........nerf so sad
-
Hmm might get a new class if they can charge £50 for it and maybe 1 strike. Make it a must have or you can't play the game any more sort of deal like TTK. In keeping with the rest of the game they don't really need any story or explanation for the new class. BTW the only thing to work at is the RNG grind.
-
They will probably add a "middle of the pack" type character with even stats that you can min max
-
2 RisposteYes I'd love to play the new class for only a small price of $50.

13 RisposteWould like to see a Mesmer type character. I guess in this type of game you'd call them "hologram masters" Their ability is that they can make copies of themselves to deceive and confuse opponents. Clones can attack and do little damage, defend and absorb damage, or run and confuse. The tree for it could be a million ideas but the grenade is a throwable hologram (1)that runs in scattered directions. The melee ability makes copies of you (3) that surround and taunt the event. I'm kinda thinking as I'm writing so I'll probably be adding to it

9 RisposteI swear y'all need to stop suggesting we pay for things that should be put in the game for free.
-
Maybe they can make a subclass who use the power of light
-
Back in Y1 there was an interview with Bungie about Destiny 2 in an issue of game informer, I can't recall much of the article but they had said that a new class would possibly be a "Loremaster" which would essentially be doing the job that the ghost does right now.

1 RispondiWouldn't mind a 4th character that can control environmental elements as different subclasses like earth, fire, and wind. Maybe an ice subclass that can throw an ice grenade that will slow the opponent down or could cause a hailstorm.
-
Would it allow us a 4th character or would we have to delete one? (If you are talking about a new char if it's a subclass that is cool too)
-
How about an activision bungie hybrid, its main attack is runnimg up to guardians and taking a huge dump on them and the super would be to make the guardians say thankyou for dumping on me again.
-
An engineer class with tech oriented abilities... Like a Super turret, drone and stuff.
-
A semi-healer class would be pretty sweet. Applying certain buffs to self and teammates
-
1 RispondiBlack ops 3 came with 9 classes. I'm sure bungie will copy and paste some of them, don't worry. Treyarch copied a few, they are both ruled by Activision, so it will come in time. Maybe by destiny 4 and $1000 dollars out of everyone's pockets and we will get 9.
-
1 RispondiThey technically did with the three new subs. Now, if we are talking new class altogether, I agree there needs to be a new one. However, I doubt we will see anything that major until D2 in September. We have a tank, a Mage, and a rogue, all we need now is a support focused class. I like the "summoner/cleric"- like ideas I see around here in all honesty. Maybe solar is cleric, void is summoner, and arc is something else my mind is going blank on. On the topic of playable characters, it would also be nice to have a TON more freedom in character creation next time around...

A captain from house of judgment bought back to life from a destroyed Ketch. able to crawl and leap off walls. With me elements

1 RispondiIce, gravity, and a kinetic subclass could be possible, but i dont see what kind of character can they implement

10 RisposteModificato da FerniG66: 1/6/2016 5:45:30 PMMaybe in destiny 2 It's hard though cause their classes already cover nearly everything. Maybe a healer/summoner?
