Stormcaller (using landfall)
- can activate in the air and it immediately kills anyone above or below you.
- blinds enemies
-landfall pops titan bubbles at no cost to super energy(yes the perk must be selected but theres an exotic so you can double dip in the perk tree)
- you get to roam for 20+ seconds after
- longest melee range in game gets extended even further
- can use blink and landfall with exotic
-50% damage resistance
Fist of Havoc
-can be activated in the air, but doesnt do damage until you hit the ground
-can also pop titan bubble but at the cost of the entire super with nothing left after.
- shortest melee in the game(but it does more damage than a regular melee and titans can spec for shoulder charge)
-unstoppable will provide +2 armor making it very difficult to die for about a 3 second animation.
-foh is often a suicide mission because after the super there is a standing up animation where anyone you missed can easily shoot you down.
So stormcaller is a slightly less powerful fist of havoc that blinds enemies and pops titan bubbles (at no cost to their super) then has 18-24 seconds to roam around after.
PLEASE explain how this is balanced
Quick comparison of super kill potential
Golden gun - 3 in an ideal scenario, 4 rarely
Arc blade - 2-3, 4-5+ in rare cases
Shadowshot - 1-2, 3-4 in rare cases
Foh - 1-2 (rarely can be 4+)
Bubble - n/a
Hammers - 2-3 average, 4-5 rarely
Nova bomb - 1-2 (same as foh)
Sunsinger - 1-2 (more depending on player skill)
Stormtrance - 3-4 average, 5+ in an ideal scenario (landfall can net 2+ kills, pop bubbles and set up a few more with damaged and blinded enemies. Then 18-24 seconds to roam and get another 3+)
Let me ask you this, how many times has a stormcaller killed you twice in the same super? I cant count the number of times it's happened to me.
Yet I dont think ive ever been killed by the same golden gun, arc blade, sunsinger etc...
-Imo the damage of landfall should be reduced and the blinding effect increased. It shouldn't be getting triple kills, it should set up triple kills.
-The duration with transcendence should be reduced, it does regen health AND increase super duration.(sunsingers have a perk that only increases super duration and it isnt nearly as effective)
-Melee range with the range increasing perk should be reduced SLIGHTLY.

6 RisposteLandfall needs to be nerfed. Bubbles should be immune to it. That is all that should be changed regarding Landfall. A perk should not destroy a super.
-
Also it only lasts for 20s if you choose that specific perk and activate with both Melee and grenade charged
-
Landfall hardly gets kills. You need to be right next to them. Striker neutral game is also superior to stormcaller.
-
5 RisposteStormtrance: Gets golden gunned Striker: eats gg shot and kills hunter -blam!-off.
-
6 RisposteK, then nova bomb vs hammer of sol. Ones roaming super with mini nova bombs with better tracking than the tracking perk in the void tree... Dont see why i should bother explaining when all supers are different for a reason and some do have similar traits, does not mean they should be compared.
-
So, anybody that disagrees is salty? Got it.
-
Landfall isn't nearly as potent as other aoe moves, and a stormcaller only gets more super time by not using their grenades and melee
-
What a perfect way to analyze the super! Everything should be analyzed in a vacuum and compared to something so completely different just to prove a point. Guess what? Everything is OP when compared to Ward of Dawn in this same vacuum.
-
Stormtrance wasn't so good during Iron Banner (lag) when the kills register a couple of seconds after you actually do it.
-
12 RisposteIm a warlock main so I feel like I can give you a good idea of what should be done to stormcaller. Damage reduction should be reduce by 5% to 10% lightning SHOULD NOT blind idf know who at bungie thought this was a fare addition to this super. Time is fine most classes have perks that will extend supers.
-
Landfall kills the people below you only and damages blinds the people close by , if they not below you they most likely not dying until you shoot your lightning
-
4 RisposteHey its a super, your not supposed to be able to easily destroy it with your guns, please stop the nerfers, as a main pve player you're destroying the fun of pve
-
Modificato da Clay COCKWIDTH: 1/4/2016 9:39:57 PMAfter what they did to the hammer? Man i don't even use a warlock and i do NOT want them nerfed. It sucks dying and not being able to outrun em but it's a super! Time to buff things. No more nerfing. PvE pays the price for pvp issues. Let em have an actual bad ass super like the titans used to have
-
FoH is comparable to the nova bomb, not stormtrance. As a warlock main, I understand some of the issue people have with landfall. It's a really strong perk. However, comparing super to super in general is apples and oranges.
-
Just stop comparing the damn two. They're 2 different supers, not even remotely similar If you're going to call for a nerf at least compare it to Bladedancer and and Sunbreaker. The fact that you think striker should have the same amount of killing capability as stormcaller is just plain idiotic.
-
FoH is a counterplay super, and its area of effect was buffed last patch. You can get more than enough value out of it if you play properly.
-
It depends on how the Sith Lord is set up. And landfall wastes a quarter of his super and transcendence forces the Lok to not use his nades or melee to work so it's a trade off. And I've shut down Sith after Sith with FoH.
-
5 RisposteLet's take a look at nova bomb. It does exactly the same thing as fist of havoc except instead of a 70% damage reduction you get a 45% damage reduction. Furthermore, the nova bomb travels so slowly through the air you can simply just jump out the way. You may argue that it has more range, however with shock wave it is pretty much the same. Which of these supers do you think is better?
-
I recorded a clip yesterday where I chained lighting through 3 people, the last one being about 30 feet away, and they all died almost instantaneously. But yeah, it's not OP because it's only a ranged Arc blade that can kill multiple targets with 0 effort.
-
11 RisposteFoH does 600 damage. Landfall maybe 200
-
2 RisposteYou have to think about its potential aswell, fist of havoc, realistically, cannot be anticipated, whereas with Stormcaller it can be, yes I know it has agility but it's definitely kill-able, also with landfall you have to position it well otherwise it's worthless and means you have to possible put yourself in harms way before using your super which means the 20 second long super may end up only being a few seconds and since its attack takes time to kill anyway (palpatine lightening) I may result only in having a weaker fist if havoc
-
Blink is rubbish though
-
-
If you think Landfall is OP then you have some serious problems
-
7 RispostePlease stop with this downward spiral of nerfing circle jerk. Also you forgot about lightning grenades, arguably one of (if not the) best grenades in the game.
-
1 RispondiI have never seen a FoH get stopped mid animation, and by the time you do die you've already owned 3+ dudes on a control zone and wrecked me and my precious bubble...
