Bungie just confirmed no year 2 DLC, R.I.P Destiny
So apparently Bungie just confirmed that they wouldn't be doing any year 2 DLC, based off the report that came out two months ago from Kokatu. We can officially bury the hatchet, folks. This game is toast. If you want to do King's Fall till Destiny 2 comes out, be my guest. Microtransactions have ruined this game. http://youtu.be/y2mwSg5iPQI
Edit: to everyone saying I didn't read the weekly update and not keeping up with the news, this post was made prior to that. In addition, even with those announced DLC's, having no new DLC-like content until spring or so? That'll have been nearly half a year of no new content other than the small additions of sparrow racing and Festival of the Lost.

I get to play with new content without spending money.[spoiler]Everyone buying silver is spending their money for me![/spoiler]Also, Bungie's time is better spent on Destiny 2. Keep in mind only 20% of the PS4 players have the trophy for finishing The Taken King story missions. All the DLC in the world won't save a game when only 20% of the population will play it.

Im yet to believe it. If i was bungievision i would wait for new kinderguardians to get hooked, then release a dlc mid february for free or at least less than $20 for good press. Then release another dlc for normal price during the year with another small release at the end of the year without a raid. That would keep people happy throughout the year with less people leaving less frequently

Now we just need more lore into the game. If 2016 DLC comes to be, it better be more towards the [i]current[/i] rather than new lore.

Actually they confirmed no paid DLC for 2015. We have about 3 weeks left so I figured that should've gone with it saying. But 2016? I don't think they are sure yet, or at least ready to say anything

They might be on to something. TTK is the mold they need to keep in the game they should completely switch things up each dlc like in the past. But what they should do is increase the light level and add new PvE events as well as PvP every month or so to keep fresh and just expand on the perfect mold they finally found

Here is what we have right now, excluding all PVE content Every weekend (4 days - 16 days per month) - Trials of Osiris One an month (7 days per month) - Iron Banner Trial Run so not sure on outcome but maybe (7 days after trial? - per month) - Sparrow Racing League (I hope the make this a monthly one week event similar to IB) That gives us 30 day a month of only PVP related stuff. I'm not even a fan of PVP and think this is awesome. I guess you could walk around a nuclear wasteland and grind for settlement materials? J/K, I like F4, until my friends get on anyway.

3 RisposteSo what if they dont make anymore paid dlc? Im fine with the devs focusing their time on destiny 2 instead if it means that it will come out a really good game. I feel like destiny 1 was just a beta to a new project and 2 is going to be the real deal.

7 RisposteYou know what. I had that same opinion just a week ago. I am actually floored with how good the Sparrow racing is. Give it time. This live team is the way the game will be kept fresh. I saw the same thing happen with my favorite game Lord of the Rings Online. They moved to this model and its staggering to see ho much free content they can pump out. Just keep watching and waiting. Good stuff is on the horizon.

1 RispondiAnyone stop to think that it's been over a year since release and people still get on and play every day/chance they get? I mean jesus christ last year Shadow of Mordor won GOTY and it took me 3 weeks maybe a month to finish all side quests and main story? There's an update for destiny just about every week. If you don't like where it's going why are you still signed into the forums/app in general? Could you answer that OP? Or anyone else trashing this game? Didn't think so.

1 RispondiSo free, albeit smaller updates until next fall? Sounds good to me. I will probably switch to Mass Effect Andromeda anyway.....this game should tide me over. I still have two characters to build and plenty of gear to acquire....I did not play this game to death last year so I am not burnt out. To each their own.
