Ever since 2.0, Handcannons miss, like you need to roll a dice (RNG) to see if you hit the target. Ask any main handcannon guardian. He will more centainly say YES.
So. And, since 2.0, I don't feel like running behind a gun (Vex Mythoclass, Suros Regime, Thorn, The Last Word, Hawmoon, Universal Remote and MIDA) If they end up getting nerfed. Which sucks the point of grind
EDIT 2: ID don't care if you call me scrub. The point is, during that meta, it was sort of fun goign around. Doing challegnes like NLB. Now, not really

But, another point of the thread was, back in HoW, youc ould use any weapon, if you didn't went against the big 3 HCs (exotics). Last day before 2.0 dropped, I went into a sweaty games of only using auto rifles. Was fun

I guess more than anything, I just didn't really like the current meta, so I hung it up as soon as Halo came out. The sticky aim on snipers was too strong, pulse rifles are the new go-tos, I feel like I have to play for days to get one new gun where I had perfect setups before the expansion, etc. Maybe I was just burned out.

2 RisposteFrom the start, I disliked hand cannons and pulse rifles. I can use them, I just hate the playstyle with them. SUROS Regime was and is my baby from the moment I got it in vanilla, before all the nerfs and after. I never had the Vex until it was a shell of it's former self. Then they destroyed it further. Hand cannons were always supposed to be high risk/high reward, and some still need some adjustments to be there. Pulse rifles are still too good from their super-buff, even with the little nerf they had. But to wish hand cannons back would be like me wishing Auto rifles ruled again, or the Vex had the 50 clip size, 3 shot kill, pin-point accuracy, and 500 spare ammo again. They needed tweaking (just not as much as they were). Hand cannons needed tweaking, and some (see: exotics) still need some tweaking done. Pulse rifles are still a bit too good outside their niche zone, and need some tweaking to lose close range and long range fights. I suppose next we'll be in the era of scout rifles, before returning back to auto rifles because Bungie has no clue how to balance weapons.

thorn and TLW were both great guns. i love the yr2 TLW. its still pretty dope. i would like to see a yr2 thorn.

It's true, I used to almost exclusively run hand cannons, and now I play with them once every blue moon and am immediately turned off with how inconsistent they are

I love the new Crucible weapon system. Legendaries can easily compete against Exotics, there's a great balance between ARs, SRs, and PRs, Swords add a nice twist to close quarters, and it just feels good.

I've had a great deal of fun with my Ace of Spades in Thorn's absence, but yeah, steady pulse rifles are the rage now. Then again, I don't play PvP much except the daily list and IB, and I despise ToO, so who gives a shit, really?

3 RisposteI miss Hawkmoon. I'm glad it and The Last Word (glad Thorn wasn't brought into year 2 personally) were brought into year 2 but they are just so. Damn. Inconsistent. I can't seem to land a shot with Hawkmoon to save my life. Handcannons are my weapon of choice on my Hunter, and they've just been Nerfed into the ground with 2.0, so much that it actually hurts. I seriously hope there is a handcannon buff with that weapon balance coming.

I miss the days when Thorn was a rarity. The early days of its era before everyone had it. Once most players had it things sucked. And I do agree with you that hand cannons cant hit anything these days.

I watched a streamer last weekend run Thorn and shotty in trials for fun, he normally uses TLW and sniper. He got a lot of assists, lets put it that way.

I'm not sure whether it was because of the older maps, the faster gameplay, or the less OP classes, but the game just isn't fun for me anymore. Now it's just all laser beam Pulse Rifles with infinite range and campers hardscoping doorways. [i]ZZZZZZzzzzzzzzz[/i]
