Ever since 2.0, Handcannons miss, like you need to roll a dice (RNG) to see if you hit the target. Ask any main handcannon guardian. He will more centainly say YES.
So. And, since 2.0, I don't feel like running behind a gun (Vex Mythoclass, Suros Regime, Thorn, The Last Word, Hawmoon, Universal Remote and MIDA) If they end up getting nerfed. Which sucks the point of grind
EDIT 2: ID don't care if you call me scrub. The point is, during that meta, it was sort of fun goign around. Doing challegnes like NLB. Now, not really

But, another point of the thread was, back in HoW, youc ould use any weapon, if you didn't went against the big 3 HCs (exotics). Last day before 2.0 dropped, I went into a sweaty games of only using auto rifles. Was fun

2 RisposteAll they need to do is make Thorn year 2! The nerfed version isn't OP but it is good enough to compete with pulses. It would increase weapon variety and you would never get two shotted.

HC are weird I miss headshots yet it hits. Same goes with Sniping sometimes... I would clearly miss but it kills them. This game is weird

I honestly preferred the hc meta as well. With the reforging it was consistent and anyone had a chance. If thorn and tlw would have gotten nerfed within the 8 or so months they let it slide, it would have been a lot better

I agree actually. Yes I am a handcannon user, but not really a Thorn user pretty much at all. I really prefer TLW. Thorn is fine as it is now, TLW is fine as it is now, but every other handcannon sucks. It's basically RNG of you hit them or not. The hit detection/aim assist of hand cannons needs a buff, even if range drop off stays the same which I think it should. I mean right now, there's no reason not to run a pulse rifle, close range you're sorta covered, mid range you're godly, and long range you're covered. It's just ridiculous.

I know what you mean. I didn't actually like Thorn, I always preferred Hawkmoon. A lot of things have changed, and before you know it, it'll seem like the norm just as the Thorn era once did. I also understand about not wanting to use a gun that just might be nerfed. This is why I main the No Land Beyond. Ain't a shot in hell that'll get nerfed ;) Great fun, still want a buff (slight gun mechanic change) and year 2 version

Modificato da TheWagn: 11/13/2015 5:13:24 PMYea the reduced accuracy of follow up shots really hit hc hard. I cringed at that when I first read the patch notes. The end of an era -blam!- the thorn though. Thing was OP. Was forced to use it to compete in trials (I'm not amazing at pvp).

IF you want a hand cannon like the thorn, use hawkmoon, I found it too be extremely close to how op thorn was...

I still use hand cannons for bounties and it's not like rolling a dice. That's just your aim, I hit people just fine. It's still one of the easiest guns to kill with in the Crucible.

1 RispondiI miss it too. Not sure why. I did like that since everyone was using it, if you killed someone, you out skilled them. Can't blame it on the weapon because we virtually all had the same weapon. It was op and abused but it was fun too

i can understand tthat and this is coming from pulse user, i loved thorn. Not for the obvious reason, i loved it back when it was a pain to even use it was such a bad gun. No love it because it was the only handcannon that felt exotic. You had last word which can b fired in full auto or a three round luck in the chamber hawkmoon. Granted u cant get a handcannon to roll full auto, but from most of the vids unless u r close no one makes use of it. And to b honest hawkmoon doesnt feel all that exotic. Dont get me wrong it is a strong gun but it doesnt have that feel. Whenever i feel goofy and want to have fun i take out the tired and true... Thorn.
