Finally I got my dream nightfall reward!
I was blessed this week and happened to obtain a 290 ghost shell! Turns out the patch to fix nightfall rewards did a great job! Rewards are much much better.

Had a 307 ghost she'll drop. Literally joined when they were at boss... Never even spawned... Felt so bad about it that I discarded it because I didn't earn it. [spoiler]psyche I equipped that ghost with pride![/spoiler]

Going into last night I felt the same as you. Last night I had a lucky streak going. Hunter - 3oC at Taken Minotaur dropped exotic engram that turned into 310 Impossible Machine gloves NF Reward was a 310 Graviton Forfeit Helmet Titan - 3oC at Taken Minotaur dropped exotic engram that turned into 290 helm of Inmost Light NF reward was a 310 Telesto Warlock - NF Reward was a 310 Bond First time since TTK dropped the NF actually was rewarding for me.

If you don't receive an exotic this week with a character then next week your chances are increased. I feel like that is fair and would keep guardians happy. That is of course if guardians can ever be happy.
