Agreed. It doesn't make sense. You have no add control when you don't kill ogres and knights. Also, when you kill the ogres after the flinch you risk getting hit by spawning knights or the vessel. I did it the other night as a 309 no problem. Ogre spawns, grenade him, shoot rockets, down in 3 sec. Turn, snipe knight, done. Don't really see what the big deal is. You're putting all the pressure on the titans up top to carry the team. Just do it normal

I've done both strategies and I have to say that doing it the normal way (without ogres) is easier because people aren't getting melted by the ogres. What is so hard about killing your ogre, looking to the left, and two shotting the knight?

I have done both. Players die by ogre because they are low light level and/or they get the ogres attention (only the ones on top should shoot them ) It comes down to preference. Let them be

It's so easy and what makes it easier than the normal is if you have some power levels with you. It makes it significantly easier IMO to just weaken them then team shot ogres to detonate. This is my opinion

Some don't know the perfect no knight strategy. Yes the only thing they gotta worry about is the ogres killing ya while jumping to witch platform. For every class i have a way you won't die like that. After your up there its so easy just like normal strat.

It makes the fight much harder if you're playing with random players. If it's a team you have some chemistry with it can be easier. Let's be honest most people require it because it's monkey see, monkey do. You get me? You're doing all that to avoid a knight that can be two shot killed. Lol The truth is you need your two best shooters/players as floaters to handle the Ogres/Knights depending on which strategy you use. The guys on the platforms should do barely any damage while staying out of harms way. That in my opinion is the key to the whole fight.

How the -blam!- are to tell us what we should do? Make your own group and don't use it.

If you die allot by hiding at the back of a platform, YOU shouldn't be playing. Get over yourself, do what you want but why on earth you expect anyone to listen to your opinion is laughable. Muted

I don't care either way is fine, learn to do both and stick with what people are most competent with.

The same people who cheesed the bridge at Crota are now saying don't cheese Oryx HAHAHAHA. Doing the bridge legit wasn't hard but it was cheesed 99% of the time. Play how you want guys, if you have a team that can beat it normally by killing the red knight, good stuff, if you prefer no knight strat, good stuff as well. Whatever works, some people suck ass at sniping, some people are beast at it. To each their own my friend.

If someone always dies then they clearly haven't been shown how to simply crouch at the back of the platform where it is impossible to be hit. If someone always dies then they don't know how to survive. Done oryx twice today and did It first time both times. On the first run 2 people died after the first light bombs and we carried on with just the 4 of us. We were actually talking about 4 manning it after to see how we got on lol

Normally I would ask if you could be more self entitled, but seeing as this is how you think when it is just a game, the wider world is going to be way beyond your understanding and you will definitely get much worse.

It's a blunt statement, but it is true. Doing it the "normal" way leaves way less room for mistakes and put's WAY LESS responsibility on the team as a whole and more responsibility on the individual player. And sorry, but he is right...if the individual player can't handle his role in this fight, he shouldn't be there in the first place. The "no knight" strategy is unneccesarry messy and convoluted with things that can be dealt with in an orderly fashion extremely easy and result in a more consistant performance and outcome during the fight.

No knight strategy is good.
