People say this is the most efficient strategy. It's not. In the 10+ groups I've been in, someone ALWAYS dies by an ogre because they didn't kill it. If you have trouble killing a red health knight in two sniper head shots, you shouldn't be doing the raid in the first place.

1 RispondiAmen I'm stuck with a group of retards who are like oh my god killing the ogres and knights is too hard... I can't stand it man, its clearly easier in the long run killing all the ogres and knights some of the Destiny community is absolutely beyond stupid, I feel bad saying it but its somewhat true why would an inconsistent method be easier that a method that had little ads around to kill you sort of annoys me.
-
2 RisposteI've done both strategies. The problem with no knights is ogres will shoot the platformers when the floaters move on to a different one. Relic runner gets shot at just for being a relic runner. Normal strategy works way better because killing ogres and knights increases survivability
-
Are you killing Golgoroth using all 6 puddles and 2 gazers EVERY SINGLE TIME you face him? Cause you know, thats the normal way.
-
I hate the no knight strategy I think it makes things harder
-
1 RispondiStop using the orb strat, you're suppose to down oryx with guns only. Orbs are obviously a cheese.
satire
-
Lol mad cause bad. Hide at the edge opposite of the ogre if you do it and that's your opinion. I like that strat and so do others
-
1 Rispondi*** to every one*** Do what ever strategy that works. No knight works well with two titans. Don't even need the other 4 to shoot the ogres. So room to carry people who just are not that good. Killing the Knights is easy of you have a good group. Bottom line being less can go wrong with no Knights with people dieing. And your not trusting people to deal with their Knights and ogres other than just shut the hell up and sit the -blam!- down. Easy for 3-4 good players to carry those that will would never normally compete the raid
-
It's really hard to do something different once you think you know how it supposed to be. I can kill oryx anyway from any platform and not give two craps about what strat was ran. People have control issues, my way is better. So with that In mind they don't commit to the suggested strat. Death, frustration, tantrums lead to forum rants, crys of bad strat, and stupid team mates who deviated from what you know. Don't dumb down the world Make yourself smarter.

4 RisposteModificato da Zoom In: 11/3/2015 2:40:03 AMI joined a group that insisted doing it no knight cause some didn't know the original way. That was my first time attempting it that way and man that strat is awful. A lot of it is luck cause you can't control where the ogres go. Obviously I didn't beat it with that god awful group. Found a different group the next day, did it the correct way beat it in 3 tries. I will never do no knight strat again and if I have to do lfg, everyone must know how to do it or you will be kicked/not invited.
-
Finally did hard oryx (had done to sisters on hard but teams never wanted to do oryx) and my first attempt we ran it the normal way and tore oryx a new asshole. Don't know what this no knight crap is but i agree with the above, if you can't kill a red health knight don't bother raiding
-
-
Its good for groups lacking dps.
-
I've never done it and don't plan to. From what I hear, it's way more hectic and troublesome than playing it normally.
-
stop complaining. people will raid their own way. there's not one "specific" way to do everything. always an alternative option.

2 Risposte

They are bad you are not Unless you suck you shouldn't die It's easier less to think about
-
With a fast and confident platformer doing it the legit way is SO much better. Blessing mid with 2 titans. Kill ogres. Once ogre is down check for your knight. As soon as relic runner has it everybody go mid. If you are on platform 3/4 kill your knight from mid. Rockets/tether in the path they take works very well. Stagger, kill adds get bombs rinse and repeat.
-
5 RisposteIf someone dies to an ogre, they probably provoked it. All platformers need to do is get on the platforms. Two guys (one titan with bubble) up on witch's tower 5%ing the ogres. One runner. If you are even mildly competent, no one dies.
-
So much easier I've beaten it so many times this way only once the other way it's not killing the Knights that's hard it's ensuring they are dead they have odd spawns and people always seem to die attempting to kill their knights if you jump up top right after the runner gets the relic you will never die
-
Forget all this I'm bored with it all. I'm waiting on Oculus Rift. Very very soon..... Muhaahhhahhaha. Now that's intriguing. I cannot wait. The near future is going to be insane!
-
Dosnt matter to me. Beaten it both ways.
-
They should learn not to die.

29 RisposteModificato da MowMdown: 10/29/2015 5:10:10 PMIf you die by an ogre you're doing it wrong, the people on the lower platforms should NOT be shooting the ogres Here is my strat. 1. A Titan with blessing goes up top of daughter platform opposite of oryx. 2. The person with the relic above his/her platform goes up with the Titan. 3. While the runner is getting his relic down, the people on the lower platforms crouch on the back side of their platform and don't do anything, not even shoot their ogre (yet). 4. The two people on top drain the ogres down to about 15-20% HP using Touch of Malice. 5. As soon as runner grabs the relic everyone, including the runner after he grabs the brand, jumps up from their platform to where the the Titan is and prepares to stagger oryx. 6. Once oryx is staggered everyone kills their respective ogres and immediately activates the blights. 7. As the blights are being activated the runner jumps straight down between daughter platforms and shoots oryx. 8. Everyone meets in middle and deals damage to oryx as blights are going off. 9. Everyone goes back to their same platform and repeats steps 1-8.

3 RisposteWhen I run with my group we kill everything. Lfg is another beast altogether. I would rather do no knight strat with randos than be stuck on something for an hour that should have only taken 7 min. No knight is easier if not, your doing it wrong simple as that. What is easier having no responsibility and no way to die or having to pick up people's slack and multiple occurrences of death. Not rocket science

Here is a strat my friend showed us that doesn't even need a sixth player to work. We beat Oryx on our first run doing this strategy. - Everyone gets on platforms while relic runner does his thing as usual. People on a platform goes to the edge and crouches while ogres spawn. - Nobody shoots or even looks at ogres. - Relic runner gets relic. Nobody moves or shoots anything. - Relic runner steals vessel's shield. Everyone moves to the middle with relic runner and kills vessel before oryx slams. - Oryx slams and opens up his chest. Dps. - Once oryx staggers, everyone kills their respective ogre with ToM. They'll have full health but should go down pretty fast with the double damage rounds. - Once all ogres are down, everyone gets their blights and rushes back to the middle. - Shoot oryx to do full damage. - Rinse and repeat. With this strat, nobody needs to worrying about aggro-ing the ogres and getting killed early on, and when everyone gets in the middle, the ogres should be right outside the shield so it won't be difficult at all to get blights. It's important to remember that the timer doesn't start until the first person steps into his/her blight, so you have time to make sure that everyone is ready. But most importantly, with this strat you don't even NEED a sixth person. Relic runner and four platform people are all you need, the sixth just helps dps oryx and kill adds/shade. We had our sixth man die after the second wave and we still kept going with no real issues. If you are the sixth during this strat then all you have to do is hide behind a platform while ogres spawn and don't do anything except stay alive. This is a great way for someone to get their <305 characters through the hard raid. Give it a try. We thought it sounded stupid at first too, but 10 minutes later we were proven wrong.

I have beat him three different ways if you have a good team it's not that hard
