To all the elitists who require 310+ for oryx
We did it. A ragtag group of a 303,307, two 305's, a 308, and a 306 slew oryx. All of you who demand 310, I have just one message: Git Gud. Edit 1: Holy shit! We're trending! Edit 2: The Great Nike is here! Edit 3: Jokerman is here too! Praise BDobbins.

6 RisposteAs far as I'm concerned a true elitist should not require 310+. If he is real then he wouldn't need a team at 310+. And congrats on your victory man. I'm at 309 and going to try and give oryx a shot tonight. We got to him in about an hour and a half to two hours and took a break and never got back on.

11 RisposteIm betting theres a team out there who have done it at only 300 light, doesnt mean you wont benefit from higher lightlevels. After being stuck at warpriest for several hours with randoms because they keep dying at the 2nd monolith because they keep getting hit with those hobgoblin shots the warpriest shoots, i can understand perfectly well people are requesting 310+ not because of the lightlevel, but more as "proof" of experience.

If people are 310+ then they're quite welcome to look for other 310+ players to raid with, just because you CAN do it with lower light levels doesn't mean you have to. Most people don't want to have to spend longer than they need too and why should they when there's an abundance of 310+ players out there? Obviously people that help lower light level players through the raid are cool but not everyone has the time/patience to do that.

Meh, of course it's doable at a lower light level, and sure, you can have a 310 light level player who sucks, but it's no where near as bad as making people have a Gjally. When I was putting together a HM run this weekend I was asking for 305 iLevel. That seemed reasonable to me and someone would likely end up close to 310 by the time they got to Oryx anyway.

Done it with a team of 310s I was 307 held my own didn't die as much as others, tho you do need dps and equally good players for oryx since you can't die

Why are you trying to get in groups of 310s then. Why not just make your own group just like you did. You know that's how we all got to 310 right?

You could beat it at 306-307 if you do the strat

I prefer higher level light teams because I don't want to take the chances of players being underpowered in light & dying a lot when I want to move on with the raid rather then spend hours upon hours doing it. Besides its my fire team so if I want high level light players 310 or above I have every right to ask for it.

3 RisposteFist bump bro. Just last night I ran with a crew all BELOW 301. 2 of them were brand new to the raid. We fought for like 2 hours just on oryx alone lol, took us about 10 attempts to get the pattern down. Once we figured it out though, he died in 1 go. Light levels were at 290-300. Just make a quick edit to your OP-- they're not elitists, they're either wannabe elitists and/or hypocrites.
