I don't care

1 RispondiI quit if these are real

Hey buddy guess what? If you have a problem leave. You said what you wanted to say not quit whining about it you just said they don't care so why post this? Honestly, stop whining about a game you anxiously enjoy very much and instead look at it in a good way. Maybe with the micro transactions we will get free stuff later like free DLCs. And if it bothers you that much, don't get the items. You've been doing fine so far you obviously don't need them so stop complaining about them.

Prediction: The Raid buff items launch with the hard mode version of the raid.

Just saying, and mind you I don't agree with everything Bungie has done or what not. But there is something impervious to this argument that most people seem to forget. When a game is being created there is tons and tons of ideas that are being tossed around and questioned. Well there is generally a handful of things that can happen with an idea. Ideas that get scrapped right away. Ideas that get created put in the game and removed before a final revision, an idea that makes it into the game and then is later removed, and something that becomes an integral part of the game. You can data mine all you want and complain about the future of destiny, but it isn't set in stone. One team might create it and say this is the greatest thing ever whereas another team scraps the idea because it would be game changing or breaking. Not everything that gets thought up gets created, but some things are created and never used. You can mock it up them removing content that should have been there, making it DLC, or removing it completely, but there is a million different things that can happen with it and all anyone ever really spouts is speculation about what they think happened because Bungie never gives a straight answer. I'm not going to try to make you understand or read what I'm saying, but the level of complaining on this forum is utterly ridiculous, and now here I am reading something about something that isn't even in the game or even been announced. It is something that has been data mined for all you really know they created all of that to be released with emotes and decided that it was better to JUST release emotes, but decided not to delete the extra inventory slots in case they wanted to rework their creations and release them in a non game breaking manner. And who knows if that is right or not? Again it's just speculation, how about we wait to see where it goes and then give them feedback(in a mature way) instead of complaining about something that was data mined in the first place. TLDR; how about we wait until it's actually released until we start complaining instead of prematurely.

I'm waiting for SuperGjallarhorn to hit the shelves! :D
-
If this happens ill never support another game by these idiots. But if its just emotes (which i doubt) I will continue to play

See the idea of instantly upgrading a subclass sounds great. It means i could finally change my titan to female and not have to completely level up all 3 subclasses again. But honestly an option to redo a characters appearance would be far better.
-
I'm sorry but does any of that say that you pay real life money for it?
-
Sparks of light with no extra perks, fine. Extra xp for enemies, fine. Emotes, shaders, emblems, and other cosmetics, fine. Lower tier items sold by vendors, fine. Things that give people an advantage to progress in endgame activities, absolutely not fine. I'd stop completely, even with three fully leveled 290+ characters.

Oh noooooo

It's a self fulfilling prophecy. People say it will happen, bungie says " well the expect it, do let's give them what they want " >P2W
increased likelihood for armor and weapon drops
pay-to-maybe-win

If they do this shit I better not have to pay for a single fkn expansion. And games do this. Go look at gw2. I got a friend on there that's got about everything in the game and they play like shit. The only reason ppl don't bitch about it us they put out new content for free at about a once a month if not more rate with the exception of 1 big expansion.

1 RispondiIf destiny becomes pay to win I'll probably just find a new game to play...

It's already been commented on by luke smith

Sometimes I look a my community and ponder if every other community that has microtransactions is this stupid... I would've thought that the Call of duty community (you know, the one that has had COSMETIC ONLY microtransactions for years) would've been dumber but it seems that this community is reaching new heights.

7 RisposteI SWEAR... If Destiny becomes a pay to win game, I will go play Warframe!!!! I mean it! I truly will! :P

Shouldn't it be more Pay4Convenience? Pay2Win implies buying Exotic Engrams with a guaranteed 310 Atk/Def or Exotic Engrams with only 280 Atk/Def but have Life Exotic perks so that you can equip 3 Exotic weapons and 5 Exotic armors at the same time. I mean; most of those sound like things to help a new player or casual player get started and catch up to the veteran/elite/pro players, who've already done the hardcore grind and more or less just take it easy. Sure, some of them can and will pay for convenience, but when they're already more or less sitting at the top, why bother? Starter Packs: Exactly as said on the tin. Slightly better than the Level 25 boost TTK Collector Edition purchasers got. For new players, they're not going to be able to insta-level that sexy new Sunbreaker/Nightstalker/Stormcaller class as they've got to work and get that mission complete, and it's going to be really tough doing so with only the starter grenade ability if they're going to be stubborn about not using the subclass booster on the two available classes. For casuals, this provides incentive to get some flagging alts up to speed. For the rest, it's a means to fast-track a restarted character. XP Boosters: The worst it will do is allow getting more motes faster (via leveling) and leveling up gear faster. In this game, those are actually somewhat worthless once you're able to access Daily Bounties, and since Glimmer is more often in need, a bigger Glimmer booster would have been a better convenience. And technically we already got Glimmer boosting items as free drops, although their effects are negligible if you're not going on a regular killing spree (and mostly only the Black Wax Idol sees regular use with the sheer volume of Hive that charge you anyway; almost everyone else trades their Ether Seeds for cheaper Ammo restoration items). Drop Boosters: Only useable in one specific raid. No benefit for Strikes, Heroic Strikes, Heroic Missions, or Nightfall. Still not P2W since it's not giving you a major attack/defense boost vs Crota. Again also doesn't benefit the hardcore/dedicated who have already ground out mostly everything they wanted, unless they're hoarding in order to rank up some other preferred equipment. Definitely has more value for those who rarely Raid but want to make it count. To be blunt, this isn't anything new, especially compared to other MMOs with microtransactions. And if anything, the fact they're not selling Engrams or choice Legendaries/Exotics with "Store-Exclusive" Perks makes this better than some other MMOs that straight-up sell you near-endgame level high-rank armor/weapon sets. Personally though, I'd rather they sell some detailed shaders similar to The Old Guard, as well as some shaders that match the Exotics that don't color change with Shaders such as the Immolation Fists, and Character Re-Customization. Maybe some ships as well since those are also purely cosmetic, unlike the hoverbikes. Or better still, visual skin remodeling so that I could put an Exotic item's look over a Legendary item's look, at the cost of using the Exotic item for the visual remodel (similar to Infusion). Or putting a nice Rare item skin over an ugly Legendary item (again, at the cost of the Rare item being used to skin).

I for one am looking forward to buying a year two Gjallarhorn for 50 bucks so I can rub it in all the welfare guardians faces I even bought all the emotes to make this come true
