4 RisposteI don't really care I'm playing this game a lot because it's fun the only thing that will make me stop playing this game as much as I am is when a game comes out that can match Destiny in the fun department

Modificato da OJ191: 10/15/2015 9:12:38 AMuhh lukes comment was that they were intended to be sold by the speaker FROM THE START like 3 of coins but never happened for various reasons Using "but muh why wasn't it in from the start" as an argument doesn't hold water PS: starter packs aren't pay to win unless they nerf XP gains to force you to buy them they are merely pay to casual. I hit 40 within a few hours of TTK launching, you could probably 1-40 within a day and max your subclasses and reach 280+ within a week

21 RisposteModificato da Tibbaryllis2: 10/14/2015 6:33:54 PMThese items are not pay to win. They're " pay to casual" i.e. they're going to allow casual players (couple hours a week average) to stay more competitive with the rest of us (multiple hours per day average). They're not going to magically allow people to buy better gear than what we have, and they're not going to magically improve skill. This isn't anything any MMO thats been around for more than a minute does. Edit: Look at it this way. Worst case scenario all of these are silver purchases. This purchase allows casuals, and some try hards, to hit 310 easier. What does that get for you? Well it helps with most of the PvE content, but the way someone plays their PvE missions/strikes/raids impacts you in absolutely no way. It does have an impact on PvP too, but the damage curve for Iron Banner shows that you have to be around 50 light levels lower for a gun like Red Death to go from 3 body bursts to 4 body bursts for a kill (10% damage reduction). I.e. You'd have to be a 40/260 light attacking a 40/310 light. There is less than a 5% difference within 20 light levels. Also there is no damage buff for being over someones level, so nobody over your level will do anything but full damage to you. So any advantage you may have been able to purchase goes straight out the window the minute one of us regulars has access to vendor gear and has completed a single raid. Considering how fast it took most of us regulars to get to 280+ (less than 1 week), the purchasable aren't even particularly advantageous for leveling. You can take a level guardian from 1 to 40 in about 10 hours. and 180 to 280 in about a week. As far as I'm concerned, if casuals want to subsidize my next DLC, then go right ahead.

3 RisposteLuke Smith has only commented about the Raid. A specific choice of words there. That doesn't rule out any future Raid or other in game activity. Bungie , having introduced these will engage in "creep" to slowly expand what you can buy. It will be subtle but extra SC or consumables to speed a players progress will be introduced. Even the moderator in their reply was politely saying get used to it. These are here to stay. No victory being had. I will not be handing over anything further beyond paying for the DLC. If these additional transactions impact on my game play then I will be done.

2 RisposteI think EverVerse is a good idea. Selling stuff that doesn't impact the game in any real way to help support its ongoing construction? Sounds great. I like Destiny. I used to love it, but I'm seeing more and more that Bungie simply does not care about what we, the gamers, want out of this experience. Senseless nerfs, laughably broken mechanics, a strong adherence toward what the PvPfags demand, when has Bungie ever taken actual player feedback into consideration? With the Mythoclast, yes. They fixed that in PvP. Good on them. But then they -blam!-ed up Aetheon, Ice Breaker, Gjallarhorn, turned the hunt for the Simulant into a joke, rendered it impossible to play endgame content without a coherent team, refuse matchmaking services for the hardest content... EverVerse is a good idea, but so far Bungie has proven that what it likes to do with good ideas is take a big fat steaming shit on them. I hope that isn't the case here. Starter packs--yeah, whatever, those are a staple of any long-term MMO. I don't care if some kid gets to skip to 25 and max out his subclass. All my characters are 40 with maxed classes already, doesn't affect me, doesn't bother me. But if they start to sell guns? Armor? Weapons to give you an edge in PvP and PvE? It's been said a thousand times, but I'd have to quit on principal. I like Destiny. I just hope I never hate it.

Modificato da Lordsa Jar-Jar: 10/15/2015 5:45:19 AM
Although, whom here who has legitimately grinded this raid several times only to get moldering shards 90% of the time wants some Christmas noob to come in and get everything in one go? When you've done 3x the amount of work.
Funny, this is basically the exact same argument with Xur and strange coins... Casuals didn't have a problem with it and you do with this? Smh, silver is meant for casuals....

1 RispondiRead this very carefully. Want to raid more than once a week? 200 silver. Don't let this blow over you guys, they simply hid the actual plan from you. What does gear matter when I can raid 7 times in one week.

this is funny thinking you are actualy making a diffrence. bungie is gona do what ever it wants to do.. ohh wow 500+ sign it.. blah blah blah.. well guess what there are still millions of others dad dont give a flying...###k its a game. if they want to waste money on stuff by all means waste it.. or dont. thats is your right. so stop crying like if its the end of the world omg they are adding microtransactions.. bungie can do what it wants with its game that they made... key words a game they made not you..

Iam sorry you lost me after the labour rant. seriously dude, if you think of spending your freetime as labour, than you got some problems imo. If any accomplishment you have achieved is diminished by the gain of other people than you - also - have a problem imo. If some other dude gets an item, it is of absolutely no interest to my char, i.E. I don't play any better or worse thanks to her/ his gain. sure, there is the usual pang of, damn it, why gots he that sweet lewt and not me, but heck, even this is just a short jealous though, that's all (and I guess its normal) - but other than that it has no impact on my character at all. Seriously. What others gain does not diminish my play. Take good care Guardian.

5 RisposteModificato da Silvercrys: 10/15/2015 2:34:10 AM
Edit: Hello gentle forumers, yesterday was the spark of a fabulous response from the community we won't tolerate ANY direction of advantages given to purchasers of micro transactions. This thread sparked a LOT of debate. I'm very happy for that.
I think I replied to this thread earlier, but here's a response to your edit whether I did or didn't.
Never, ever, should one's real life financial situation affect his ingame status. If this ever occurs, even in slight ways, you will have my support against Bungie.
And my axe, bow, and sword.
Yesterday, Luke Smith confirmed via Twitter they do not plan on selling consumables to buff king's fall raid drop rates. Instead, the item consumables data-mined are more likely to be obtained in game. Probably by the Speaker.
Mmm. He said they were supposed to be sold by the Speaker but had some sort of bug and were never released.
I will say this on the subject. Do not be naive.
And here it comes...
Just because Luke Smith said they no longer have plans to sell these consumables which directly impact Raid drop rates doesn't mean they weren't before this post happened. It's possible they saw the uproar the community fabulously created and then immediately decided against selling these.
Wow. That's a really misleading claim. You're saying that Luke Smith said they no longer have plans to sell them. That would literally be putting words in his mouth if you had spoken it aloud.
If you really think about it, these consumables are bogus regardless. These consumables which impact drop rates should've been here since the raid started if you really think about it. Why would they place consumables which alter drop rates AFTER the raid has been in the game for a month or longer? To help people catch up is the only way I could justify that question.
They were supposed to be. They were bugged. They didn't get implemented.
The Valorous/Heuristic/Indomitable Light were Three of Coins-like buffs sold by the Speaker for Motes+Planetary Materials (I honestly don't remember exactly what they cost, [but it was never Silver] I can't keep the entire economy in my head) but for a variety of bug-related reasons they were removed. They were also - as has been pointed out - in the data files before TTK shipped.
Here's the link. Post 6840.
Although, whom here who has legitimately grinded this raid several times only to get moldering shards 90% of the time wants some Christmas noob to come in and get everything in one go? When you've done 3x the amount of work. This item consumable SHOULDN'T be in the game regardless of how you obtain it. It's a bullshit item no one should want, even if you don't directly pay for it with silver. (And we definitely don't want it in our game if it's bought with silver.
1)You don't know how much it increases drop rate. 2)If it cost, like, 20 planetary mats or something. That would be fine. Everyone can buy them at the Speaker then. It's a fix for all the mats in my inventory and the poor raid drops then.
Let's also think about the "Starter Pack" consumables and subclass infusions that were also data-mined, Luke Smith didn't say SHIT about whether these are being sold or not. Which, let's be honest here, Starter Packs are actually probably going to be sold based on the fact he addressed only the Raid consumables, and who can actually imagine buying a Titan starter pack to begin with? Again, even if it isn't being sold for real life money, WE SHOULDN'T WANT THESE IN THE GAME TO BEGIN WITH. Who here who has grinded to level 25 and fully levelled your subclasses wants someone to come along and obtain a level 25 character with a fully levelled subclass and several telemetries INSTANTLY? This shouldn't be acceptable.
As I have said before, so what? Right now I'm wasting all the XP that would be leveling my subclass because mine are maxed out. All this would do is make that happen faster for others. They still have to grind for gear. They still have to grind to level to 40. They still have two subclasses to level.
Never should real life status affect ingame status. Never should the labor of individuals be undermined in such a pathetic way either.
Ok. We disagree on where the line is, though. And your misleading statements are only serving to stir up resentment that is undeserved (at this point in time).

Excuse me did you order this?
Luke Smith: "If I fired up a video right now and showed you the emotes you would throw money at the screen."
I apologize but I admit that I did not read everything in the original post. I have read enough, "we will quit playing Destiny" topics that I finally feel like saying what I think Bungie is really thinking. "Quit". I'm not sure if many of you realize this but you are not that significant when it comes to Bungie profiting more from this game. If you aren't willing to pay for whatever they may decide to sell then they really don't care if you play. They are a business and if you aren't giving them any business then you really don't mean much to them. Fortunately for them, if 500 people that were never going to give them any extra money for content that may boost a players chance to get more from a raid stop playing, they will be just fine. The day you realize that a game developer doesn't really care if 500 gamers quit playing as long as the other 50,000(random number) gamers are willing to pay and play, the easier your gaming life will be. I respect how many of you feel but personally, I'm all for them selling raid boost or whatever they decide to sell. It's my choice to buy it.. It's a game, it's not going to affect my life..

1 RispondiBungie is a business looking to make money. Truth is, a very small percent of people no life this game like you do. Why would they only cater to that small percent? One thing holding some people back from playing is lack of time. If bungie gives these players a faster way to level, then good for them. It doesnt affect you in the least. Games are for fun, unless it is your job. What i cant stand is all the children on here acting like destiny is more than just a game. Your not playing for money. It is for fun. Why so butthurt? Cause you finally found something your good at, in a fantasy world? Point is Bungie wants to sell their game to all types of players, not just the ones who have no life outside of the game. (Which is a small percent of the player base) If they only cater to elitist scum, then most of the casuals will leave and Bungie will lose out on a lot of money.
-
If anything this new system of emotes that will provide DLCs will ELIMINATE the pay-to-win style of Destiny. Right now we do kinda of have this. You have to PAY to get DLCs that allow you to "WIN". Introducing cosmetic items that cover DLC costs mean that everyone does not have to PAY to get the new DLCs.

If this raid gear items are true then Bungie are bigger c**ts than I first though. Having raided several times now across all 3 characters I am seeing a pattern with the armour drops... Either you get none through the entire raid or you simply get lower value versions of what you already have. This ties in to exactly what Bungie are trying to achieve with their money making consumables. Furthermore, this means they directly lied to us when saying before TTK dropped that RNG had been adjusted to be more inclined to drop something you need/don't have already. Bullshit! -blam!- you money grabbers.

1 RispondiI had a lot of fun with destiny. It had its ups and downs, great patches and not so great things implemented... Then the taken king came out. From a gamers point of view it was a highlight of the direction destiny could evolve. Then these micro transactions came along... I'm sorry Bungie but I have a lot of understanding of business, and I get it... You need to earn money whilst working on the next instalment. But this is not the way, at least, not one that positively influences your franchise. I constantly played destiny but I feel I'm ready to slowly let it go... New awesome games are coming. We had a great run...

The announcement of the reduction of strange coin's along with motes of light coupled with hearing about these data mined consumables that boost experience are a little worrying. No I don't expect free content. I'll gladly pay for expansions like any other game. But it does beg the question; have the drop rates in Kings fall been intentionally terrible (to some) to bolster the feeling of need for these consumables? It's been said but as long as these things stay cosmetic, I'll even purchase some. If they want to sell consumables to help starting players get closer to Max level, that's questionable but it won't to drive me away. But if they start selling an increase in chances of getting further in end game content, I won't be playing. There would be no need for such consumables if the game wasn't altered to need them in some way. And let's be realistic, if someone purchases one of these consumables and does not get a drop, they will never purchase them again. So don't think that they will not be effective. I love you Bungie, but please make the right decisions here.

Where'd you get your tin foil hat?

I think we give the money to spend it on dancing, and then force to buy more in the near future by the new consumables postscript: spain comiunity dont approve these changes

It's most likely going to be a spark of light to increase your character to 25.

ITS NOT GOING INTO THE GAME EVER YOU -blam!-ING IDIOT. LEARN TO COMPREHEND WHAT YOU ARE READING. THE STUFF WAS SCRAPPED PRIOR TO THE TAKEN KING EVEN DROPPING AND THEY NEVER PLANNED TO HAVE IT BE PURCHASED WITH SILVER. STOP -blam!-ING RILING UP THE COMMUNITY WITH YOUR BULLSHIT
