Explain. Not trying to rustle any jimmies so please leave your salt in one of the sleeper simulant posts
Edit: obviously talking about precision hits with it
Edit 2: I main a paramedic irl so plz stop trying to bust out your medicine degrees on me.
Edit 3: not crying nerf shoulder charge im crying buff throwing knife headshots
Edit 4: reduce aim assist, ohk only with burn, that way you can't abuse the precision hit reset. Fair enough fam?
Edit 5: the medic thing was in context to everyone saying that blunt force goes through armor, I know that, I'm not disagreeing with that, you can put your little psuedograudate penises away now.
Edit 6: The logic of a 1000 lb hitting you at a full sprint will cause you a lot of damage is 200% true, by no means am I disagreeing with that. However we must remember that this is a thread about balance. The same logic can be applied by the fact that the animation of throwing knife evidently impales into helmets, and the knife also catches bitches on fire
Edit 7: precision hit with knife w/ burn does NOT one hit kill, it does however reduce them to enough damage that a pellet from across the map hip fired by coiled hiss can kill them

6 RisposteDidn't read through all the post but I'm just going to say the balance comes from the fact shoulder charge is a charged melee attack. You have to sprint for a certain amount of time before it activates. Throwing knife is instant. It wouldn't be balanced at all if that was an Ohk, head or not. Lol takes me back to the cod days of old, throwing knife hits pinky toe; instant death lol.
-
I'm not saying a precision hit with throwing knife shouldn't be a one hit kill. However, you would need to rework that one skill that refreshes the knife if it precision kills.

Modificato da Terible Speling: 10/7/2015 10:06:35 PMIf they nerf the hitbox then yeah I'd be happy with that.

As a Titan, I agree with the "knife vs shoulder" premise of this argument.
-
2 RisposteBalancing issues simply i have to run charge up my shoulder charge but if i had a one shot in my belt at any moment the it would be abused

Modificato da DeusDominus: 10/7/2015 9:55:48 PMI agree head shot with a knife should one hit kill. I laughed at the "main a medic irl" line that was good. Also this is destiny the realm of space magic if a titan can reach some type of boosted velocity after x amount of steps then propel themselves x amount of feet all the while maintaining said speed and crash into an object without hurting themselves with either the impact or the g forces generated by the entire process then a hunter's magically regenerating knife should be able to cleave through a helmet....just sayin..... Carry on guardians.

It's a pain in the ass for knife headshots. So I agree they should be OHK
-
Because the aim assist is ridiculous, it would basically be a free kill almost every charge. I find it very useful though, use it reactively such as if you have run out of ammo, if you have put even a couple of bullets into someone then it will kill them.
-
In all honestly I don't see how a knife does any damage at all the knives look like any old knife u can find at a Walmart and everyone is in full armor for the most part. I agree shoulder charge shouldn't be a one hit but I'm not complaining bc it's a great counter to shotguns

2 RisposteAs someone who's practiced throwing knives... and has... experienced injuries from such. It's almost always (almost) non lethal.
-
Because titans > hunters
-
3 RisposteBalancing reasons. I have to charge a shoulder charge with sprinting and then I only got two seconds to hit something. Your knife can stack up to two times and can instantly recharge with a precision kill.
-
Because it was a dull ass knife. You seen the should on that titan?? It could move mountains.
-
Lmao ah coiled hiss.
-
Throwing knife headshots are good idea when its purposeful usage, but when it becomes a reflex to hit someone in the face and instakill them it becomes a problem.
-
2 RisposteYOU MAIN A HUNTER, SO YOUR ARGUMENT IS INVALID...BUT I MAIN A TITAN, SO MY ARGUMENT IS ALSO INVALID.

You don't have to charge throwing knife and lose your ability to fire a gun in the process. That's why

Who tf knows. Probably because Hunter's were beast mode at launch with the roaming 1hko super.

Balance. Throwing knife with knife juggler is potentially infinite and instant recharge. No matter how good the Titan is, shoulder charge can only proc every few seconds at the most.
-
I'll agree that a knife to the head should kill ya. But you know there is the possibility that your knife shattered or fell to the side after a nasty high to said person's helmit. The shoulder charge on the other hand is like being hit with a 600 pound safe with rockers strapped to the sides. The force of a titan hitting you is probably going to do nasty things to a much wider area and affect more internal organs. Either way, I've always assumed either ghost is healing you, or the light is. If so, then it's a matter of which injury is harder to heal quickly, thereby resulting in your death.
