I really just miss shooting stuff with fatebringer... it felt good. Shooting stuff should feel good...and now those feels seem to have vanished, for me at least.

If destiny didn't have what basically is a co-op campaign, it would have died months ago

I am. My problem is besides light HM raid means nothing unlike vig or crota where you knew you were going after some of the best weapons In the game. Not having elements on primaries kills it for me since it was fun earning a great gun and being extremely strong where ever you go in the world. This dlc has been a huge disappointment after how bad the raid gear is.

We should have the option to still have year one stuff legendary wise. Then the diversity issue wouldn't be. Non elemental primaries also blows.

*** read this on gamespot earlier and found it funny and similar to my experience *** Here is the progression of the common Destiny player my self-included. 1) Waits to buy game due to all of the bad press from people on the forums. 2) Breaks down, buys, and enjoys the living "S" out of it for a little bit. 3) Defends the game because I am enjoying the living "S" out of it. 4) Slowly but surely finds myself getting bored, but still plays then because friends are still playing. This leads to more defending the game. 5) D-day the time in which you finally get bored with it. You realize what it is. You figure out there is so much diminishing return vs time spent playing. You find yourself asking why I am putting more time into this cash grab. 6) New content is released. Here you finally have new stuff to go do, the game is amazing again, and then after about 10 hours of game time you have the eye opening moment. It's like you have done this before. Something feels eerily the same. Then I dons on you. This is their plan. 7) Denial. You quit the notion that this is a cash grab. You reject the idea that your grinding for hours doing the same strikes/raids/quests over, and over again. You embrace the rinse, and repeat game play. You make excuses for all the thing wrong with the game. You just keep playing. 8) Friends start to move on to new games. They start to tell you what you have known all along, but you were merely a pawn in the marketing ploy that is smeared every place including your trusty Gamespot. 9) Just a repeat of 5) above. 10) You hit the wall. You are just over Destiny. It’s like when you break up with that first hot chick. Yea she has a smashing body, but she has a hamburger vagina. The packaging looks amazing, but the contents inside are a hot mess. You find yourself writing a post about this entire endeavor, but you have this really weird feeling kind of like freedom. You go look into a mirror, and say to yourself it’s going to be ok. Then the screen fade to black. THE END!

More than slightly

TTK was the litmus test to see if I would continue down the Destiny trail. The verdict: Unsuitable for further play. Nerf this, nerf that, Increase grind and difficulty artificially. Destiny has become work, a job, a game should be enjoyable and stimulating. I don't feel stimulated or elated to launch Destiny anymore, too bad, it played well....

So people getting the weapons that they enjoy too soon is a problem with the game design? No, people found an exploit and now they have a bunch of exotics that they love, but if the feel bored now because of it, they only have themselves to blame. I myself farmed some of the exotics the first weekend, and got a bunch of helmets and chest pieces for my Titan, all duplicates, lol. No one to blame but myself. After getting bored with repeating Shrine of Oryx and Eye of The Gatelord I went back to strikes and patrols and used the ToC like it was meant to be used. Guess what? I had much more success getting items unexpectedly. Just last night I helped killed Taniks and he popped open with two exotic engrams. And this was after playing the raid for the first time. I was just starting to get burned out and Destiny turned around and surprised me, but I guess that's what happens when you don't play for hours and hours every day. And don't set out to get everything within the first week.

I was feeling burn out and then work pulled me away for 2 weeks. Now I'm back on the grind. Once you feel the burn it means it's time to either switch games or stay off for a bit and do something else. If played too much for specific loot, this game starts to feel like a job.

Yeah I'm starting to get burned out too. I'm starting to get that boring feeling.

I literally logged out and re-subbed to FFXIV after receiving no loot from sisters and oryx on hard mode on my Titan . I'm good . Especially after the iron banner incident... yeah no thanks, i have , like so many others been on the unlucky end of raid loot drops since day 2 of VoG NM . I have been around since Alpha and seen plenty of unnecessary changes/nerfs that we're uncalled for, but I stuck it out because the gunplay and few other things we're fun. Now it's to the point that if people bust ass to get to the current end game, and be successful at it and receive nothing for their efforts, that's pretty low. And I'm not the only this has happened to . I have stuck by and tried to make the best of this game if for any reason the social aspect with friends, but a lot of them are just waiting for TCTD and Battlefront, both of which sound better than destiny ATM. Anyway, I'll be back when/if bungie decides to fix their stuff.

I want weekly quests I don't want to do the Hard raid

Yeah, I'm starting to feel it. My usual teammates don't play as often anymore, and it's more difficult given our time zone differences now as well. I just don't enjoy Destiny as much without them. We'll see what happens, but Fallout 4 could be the final straw for me.

They could breath some life back into this game if they gave us a larger selection of Legendary gear... give us more options for customizing our Guardians. If they were to give us back all the Year 1 armor and weapons with Year 2 stats and perks, that would be awesome; give the Vanguard, Crucible, and Factions a larger selection of weapons and armor than they've ever had at once. I don't know why they have to ditch all the old content with every new DLC... Anyway, I'll most likely be taking a break from Destiny when Halo 5 drops on Tuesday. I'll still get on for the Daily activities, though; need to keep up my Legendary Marks for when I really come back.

I hate to admit it but I am. And I'm worried for my Destiny time in the coming months with all these great titles coming out. Soon enough, my regular Raid group will be burnt out on Hard Mode since it's not much more engulfing than Normal. If Bungie doesn't do something fairly big fairly soon, I have a strong feeling that a large portion of my free time that Destiny currently owns will drift towards Halo 5, Fallout 4... Then the kicker will be Just Cause 3. I hate saying this because I love this game. But there was a long period earlier in the year where I played Destiny for a couple hours on Tuesdays for Nightfalls, maybe a Raid or two, then for 5 minutes on Friday for Xur, and that was it. I feel that same type of sequence coming along for me soon, sadly...
