First, I want to congratulate anyone who got the weapon. I don't know what strategy you did to earn it but the mission for me is just to hard. Its easy enough to get to the boss with 7 minutes to kill him (I got to him in 8 one run). Even after killing the boss, there never seems to be enough time to clear the adds from the room. Even if I kill the boss (who is stupidly hard to kill thanks to his constant tossing of blinding light and endless minions) I still lose the mission because I cant kill the 20 knights and centurions with shields left over.
I just wasted 3 hours of my life working for something I wont get because of stupid broken mission, and I'm not asking for a free hand out. I like a challenge, but this is less of a challenge and more of a headache. My fireteam had one guy who had done the mission, we killed all the blights and then killed the boss with 1 minute, but still could get kill all the adds in time. I'm never playing this mission again, just looking at the walls of the ketch and the sounds of that blinding ability have started to make me puke whenever I think about them.
What's worst is I just spent 3 hours doing something that was not fun. The Hard Raids are fun, Nightfall's are fun, Crucible is still frustrating but still enjoyable at times but this mission is terrible by design and unenjoyable. I wont be playing this mission again, in fact I'm taking a month break from Destiny.
* I noticed that Light Level doesn't even matter. My fireteam had 300+ light and still got our asses handed to us by 240 light adds. Thats a dumb and broken system that doesn't make sense for a game trying to be an MMO.

Timer hit zero literally as I swung my sword to kill the last add. All of us agreed to never cut anything that close again. Ran it again latter in the evening to help a friend get it and had over a min and a half left on the clock.

Modificato da Malcontent77: 10/3/2015 6:00:46 PMOur team just went ham with swords. Popped in room, took out blights, used cloak grenade and shadow shot to tether boss then Titan popped bubble on him. Wailed on him with swords. We died with him having about a third of health left maybe a bit more. Cloaked again all three of us and finished him off with swords. Then we just killed all the ads remaining. Had about 20 secs left. Definitely hardest bit of content the game has to offer. But definitely worth it. Defender and nightstalker are highly recommended. It also helps if all guardians are around 300 light along with there swords

My team was one 290 me 287 and a 266 and I suck idk if we just got lucky but we did it
-
5 RisposteJust wanna say it has been solo'd.

If you're on Xbox, I can help you some time.

Modificato da Mike: 10/3/2015 6:17:12 PMIt's worth it, Spindle is a boss killer. What my team did was clear the first 2 rooms as quickly as possible (focusing blights first) and got to the boss with just under 7 mins left. In the boss room focus blights first, than adds, than rush the boss...Titan puts out bubble on him than all 3 beat him to death with their swords. When his health is at about half more adds will spawn so be cautious of that, when the boss is dead focus blights, than adds. Get that done in time and you get your Spindle. The boss dies quick, the adds are the what will make or break your run.

How to beat 1. Titan with blessing 2. Two storm callers with transcendence

1 RispondiIf you want to try a way that worked well for us get a hunter and titan and hopefully someone has an exotic sword, tether the boss then put bubble on top of him and have someone smash the hell out of him with the exotic sword while the 3rd person kills brights and try to maintain adds
-
That gun is truly earned. I have tried twice for many hours and failed. My only complaint is a lack of checkpoint. Kudos if you did it in one run etc but going through all that shit jst to get there is bad lol
i wish they diddent blind you so much
Two titans and a hunter make it extremely easy one bubble another hammer and shadowshot or nighthawk
-
1 RispondiModificato da Neutrill: 10/3/2015 2:47:54 PMIt does almost 10K to strike bosses at 300 attack. This is the most powerful sniper we have ever had. I'm thoroughly enjoying it. I even had two nice people on ps4 help me get it since my character wasn't as advanced. It was my second exotic on that platform
-
As someone who mains a hunter I can tell you a team full of hunters make this so much more difficult. Warlocks and Titans are the way to go for that mission

5 RisposteModificato da Racebum: 10/3/2015 10:22:42 AMIt's probably the hardest challenge currently in the game. I would expect most people to fail. I would actually like to see the completion percentage. If it's over 20% I would be extremely surprised. I use the black spindle quite a lot, the one thing I can say is if I see someone who has that gun, they earned it

Some others have said it, but an exotic sword helps a lot. I used the strategy where a bubble Titan bubbles on top of the boss. We all go in with swords. I was the only exotic sword. Then after the boss dies (or at least is at 5%), we jump out, kill blights, snip kill boss, clean up adds. I went sunsinger for boss and switched to stormcaller after boss was dead. This was to avoid loss in DPS from premature death due to boss mid placement or add damage. Next, used a combination of supers and exotic sword to clear adds. Dark drinker helped a lot, because I could kill this bigger captains and majors while also taking adds down with me. Hope that helps a bit. Good luck!

Blights then ads then boss. In that order bruh. Rinse and repeat.
-
We did it with two Stormcallers and a Sunsinger. The two Stormcallers focussed on ads, feeding off each others orbs, while the Sunsinger put constant damage (sniper, LMG) on the boss from the entrance while using Radiance + Solar Grenades to help with the closer ads. The ads were gone long before we took the boss down. Finished it with about 30 seconds left on the clock.
-
Take a warlock with you with storm trance. Helps with the adds
-
Swords, swords and more swords. It helps if at least one person has an exotic solar.
-
1 RispondiI won't do it simply because for some reason me and my team can't get it done. It's always some bullshit that prevents us from doing anything.
-
3 RisposteTry all being crowd control subclasses (best are sunbreaker and stormcaller). If you are a hunter you aren't beating it simple as that
-
I beat it at 290+ light with only another 290 and a 298.
-
Two words ad control
-
my fireteam was me a nightstalker, defender titan, and stormcaller. Strategy was... The titan pops bubble (AoL) in middle platform, i join him and bang him with swords while running to the bubble when low ( i shadow shot him) . Stormcaller got rid of blights and adds in the process (his super is great for adds btw). Bubble runs out, me and titan run back to start point and clean adds/blights for a bit then headback with no bubble and kept swinging died and kept coming back. Titan and i get super back, do same step as above... Killed the boss with 2:50 on time still. Stormcaller did great job on blight/add control... Not too much we had to do afterwards. Gl on your next run if you ever do it again

Did you try focusing on ads instead of the boss? When I did it, my team went in the boss room with ~7 minutes and finished with 1:19 on the clock. Work together to clear all the ads, focusing on blights first. Once ads are down, damage the boss until the next wave of blights are summoned. Rinse and repeat. For subclasses, I would recommend sunbreaker, nightstalker, and storm caller/sun singer. This makes it easier to take out enemies and makes a ton of orbs for your teammates so you constantly have supers. With this method you never get overwhelmed like you do if you just kill the boss right away.

7 RisposteSo you made it there in 2 minutes (which is wildly unbelievable unless you guys are amazing), but you can't beat him? Those two things don't go together. If you're good enough to clear everything & get to him in 2 minutes, then you guys would have to be very good which would make the final fight easy, and then there's also the fact that 8 minutes is an insanely long time to beat him. We've done it in 5. Not buying your story
