Black Spindle isn't worth the time
Thanks Bungie for making an exotic so friking hard to get, I like a good challenge but this challenge is gay

Beat the challenge with 90 seconds to spare. Immediately infused my 1000-yard to 310 dmg. It's worth it. Just make sure you guys have good dps output on boss.

Just beat it last night with 4 seconds left. The dude who got 30 kills got the ship...but that mission is ass.

The challenge is happy? If you do it in 1 try it only takes 10 min.

I was 300 and did it with my friends both at 280 twice ... Only got him to half way health and there like Come on man we can do it... Lesson learned ... Btw they were dead the whole time lol... I hate people

It's only worth it if you want to get all of your special weapons to 300 or higher attack

It isn't even too bad if you have a good group. Take out the ads and blites and then dps boss. Rinse and repeat. And it is worth it

I agree. With the new white nail perk its really just a slow firing, small magazine, slow reloading average at best sniper rifle

Get an exotic sword like Raise lighter. Even if I already had Spindle, challenged myself to see if I could solo it. Got it first try. That part becomes a 290+ mission as soon you are in the ship, so if youre under that, level up before even trying.

It's hard to get because it's an elite weapon. #savethespindle

It's easy if you get in there and take out those damn blights and major/shielded enemies that are associated with each blight. Made it way easier for us instead of doing that sword shit or sitting back and trying to kill him first.

Main problem is, people go in a) under levelled and b) without the correct or even good weapons. Just because it's a 300 sniper doesn't mean it's suited for this activity, for example low impact and arc or something along those lines. Exotic swords work wonder.

4 RisposteIMO, it is definitely worth it while it drops at 310. Use it to level your other special weapons. I had a hard time finding a decent enough group to run with. My current fireteam as much as I love them (lifelong friends) just wasn't cutting it. Was very fortunate to find 2 very helpful players help me through it last night. I'm very greatful to them. You can do it, but need to have good players help.

Nah its perfect. We need more challenges in destiny that make people write these posts. It really adds bragging rights to the rewards.

1 RispondiWe found an easy strategy that left us with two whole minutes left to clear ads after we killed him. Sorry for the simplicity of it but this is how it is: -Equip your best sniper -Have 3 people and have their heavies be each burn ( one with solar, arc, and then void ) We found that Machine Guns worked best. -When you get to the boss room, dedicate one person to ad control; ad control needs to be taking out Blights and Psions, the blights will continue to spawn Psions who will multiply like rabbits. -Stay inside the tunnel that you initially come in through, it's your best cover in that room. -The other two people need to focus on damage on the boss, the boss will be hurling orbs of blindness at whoever has aggro. Whoever has aggro needs to stay on their side of the tunnel and take pop shots at the boss, the other needs to run to the other side of the tunnel and hammer the boss with sniper shots. Pace your shots, his head will jerk downwards with every orb he throws making for some really frustrating sharpshooting. -Any ads that have shields are not a priority unless they become one. Psions and Blights should be your upmost priority as they will quickly shut down the left side of the tunnel with incoming fire. -Once you get the boss dead, check your time and decide if it's enough to play safe or play risky. Whip out those heavies and knock 'em down. That's how we did it, hope this helps someone!
