Theory: Year two players will not get the exotic sword...
That step where you have to grind for hours for relic iron or whatever you need for your sword quest, I have a theory thats where they will give up. They dont remember the days back in year one before you could just buy all materials...you had to grind for them. Year one vets remember the grind for relic, helium, spinmetal and sprit bloom. I think they will give up because their not used to it, their used to being able to buy it. Just a thought I had during the grind.
Edit: Just a tip: Dont do a void sword on a hunter. The 500 kills you have to get with void abilities is insane. The bow kills only count if you kill them with the arrow and the grenades are ok'ish and melees are not void. Pretty much had to get 500 grenade kills... :/
Edit: Damn...all I did was have a thought while doing the grind and thought I would come here to express my theory. I didn't know you bastereds world run my phone battery dead, cause it vibrates every 2 seconds for a new notification...lol
Edit: And you think the horror ends there....o no. Next Wednesday, I think you have to do a light lvl 300 strike.

4 RisposteEveryone here thinks they are better than year 2 players cuz they can farm lmao. Seriously anyone can farm, I know year one players gave up on that. Anyone can give up, anyone can do it. Stop feeling special about yourself.

Made the mistake of doing a void sword on my hunter... Only thing I can say to improve said strategy is to use the 3 arrows for your super and to use the smoke bomb that damages over time. Not sure if the DOT smoke nade will count, just an idea to make this a little easier.

8 RisposteMy problem is finding anyone for the final step. Everyone is requiring 295+ I understand but I'm at 292 and if we got two arc guys we could kill the other two boomers. It's depressing as it's the only thing I need. Hopefully I'll complete some of the raid. I'll be bumped to 298-300 and I can run it then I'll help a few people.

10 RisposteI haven't farmed for it yet. But I would advise anyone who is using the night stalker to use supercell or bad juju and lucky raspberry at the "awoken the hive". Also the void explosions on kill works great and poison cloud.

1 RispondiVoid on my Hunter was cake. Most of the ability kills for any class and subclass are gonna be fairly easy as long as you load up The Dark Beyond mission, kill the massive amount of ads, wipe before the knight, then rinse and repeat.

I feel u got void om my titan en the bubbel makes NO kills, so I had to also do 500 grenade kills en meelee took long lol

5 RisposteAfter having a great time being a ninja hilt user for PVP( a real blast!!) I was in a party chat with a few wonderful people on my friends list... They started bitching an moaning to me about the next part in this quest.... FARMING(YUCK!) Then I started to think back.... To the days on archer's line...... ember caves....THE....THE...Rocketyard!.......(-blam!- you mars) How I missed the thoughtless patrolling for mats to convert to marks. I have to farm helium filaments for 10 rare pieces......... AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA Loaded up some old school trip hop........ 40 minutes later I was half way done.... Ended up stopping half way because it was 4 am and I had work at 8 today..... yawn #gitgudyr2scrubs

I got the bolt caster..it's epic. Assuming the other 2 exotic swords are just as awesome, I'm prepared to grind it out 2 more times for the void and solar.

Already have the Void exotic sword, Dark-Drinker, and currently half way done for Solar exotic. Been playing since Beta/Day One.
