That step where you have to grind for hours for relic iron or whatever you need for your sword quest, I have a theory thats where they will give up. They dont remember the days back in year one before you could just buy all materials...you had to grind for them. Year one vets remember the grind for relic, helium, spinmetal and sprit bloom. I think they will give up because their not used to it, their used to being able to buy it. Just a thought I had during the grind.
Edit: Just a tip: Dont do a void sword on a hunter. The 500 kills you have to get with void abilities is insane. The bow kills only count if you kill them with the arrow and the grenades are ok'ish and melees are not void. Pretty much had to get 500 grenade kills... :/
Edit: Damn...all I did was have a thought while doing the grind and thought I would come here to express my theory. I didn't know you bastereds world run my phone battery dead, cause it vibrates every 2 seconds for a new notification...lol
Edit: And you think the horror ends there....o no. Next Wednesday, I think you have to do a light lvl 300 strike.

1 RispondiBack in my days we had to dig our relic iron. Now these new kids and their fancy quarter masters.

1 RispondiIn the quest does it say you have to grind it? Why not just buy it from the vanguard vendor? Also does the exotic sword take up a exotic spot? I would assume it does but I have no swords to test.

I'm a day one and I never farmed.

Best thing to use is a ghost that points it out or hunters better tracker. I used both and it still took forever

Grind was real, except my ghost before I got the raid one was a spinmetal collector. Use a sniper and aim? Shows every location in the area.
