3 of coins farming worth it?
It looks to me like it takes an average of about 14 strange coins(10 3 of coins) to get one exotic. It cost less than that to buy an exotic from Xur. I don't think it's worth it.plus you get the exotic you want when you just buy it. Unless of course you want everything yesterday and have the game become stale because you have nothing left to achieve. For me I'll play the game and get whatever drops on my journey.

It's more like 2 out of 10. And hell yeah its worth it. You end up getting all the exotics PLUS extra for infusion. But at the same time it depends on how many coins you have. If you have like 300+ you can go ham. There's no reason not to. Because once you have all the gear. You have months to just let it build back up.

Oh yes my friend i got a ton of exotics last night. Just dont use more than one coin at a time or you will waste them too quickly. For 100 coins i was able to get like 20 exotics

No. Just running heroics got me 2 exotics in 4 runs. If you want to cheese stuff and make them nerf stuff, go for it.

5 RisposteI seem to be working on a 1:5(exotics to coins) ratio for the new coins. Either way, the fact they give exotics so easily is definitely worth farming

That's exactly my average. 14 coins/exotic. If you have an excess of coins then go for it. I stopped when I got five alpha lupis in a row from a bunch of chest engrams. I got jade rabbit, it's amazing, I don't really need much else.

I've used about 40 so far and got three exotics: Ruins Wings Immolation Fists Light Beyond Nemesis (yr 2) Not a big deal to me. I like the feeling of getting a new exotic. Discovery is part of the fun. The 3-of-coins just speed up the process a bit. Since it's RNG, some people have better luck with the it.

Agree. Been getting good legendary drops on quests.

Its worth it from a time perspective. No guarantees you'll get what you want, but it's fast. Rng is rng.

I used 15 and got Ruin Wings. Didnt get them year one and i got a sexy rocket launcher to go with it, so no complaints.

I dont like this exploit but it def works my friend did it for like 4 hours and he has all the exotic weapons except the bounty ones yea u can buy engrams from xur but that may take months this method takes hours by the way he had 400 strange coins saved up

It's all RNG, but I think the average drop rate seems to be around 1 in 5. On the other hand you have no idea what kind of engrams you get. It's also worth thinking about the fact that Xur no longer sells any exotic weapon, so if you want a better chance of getting an exotic weapon, then coins is the way to go.

I also got all but one hunter helm, and two titan helms. ( not sure which ones I have as I haven't been playing my titan, and don't have a hunter. I just placed them in the vault for the future.) They do work, but keep in mind I had 200 strange coins. I have zero now, but xur most likely won't sell a exotic I need now so no worries lol.

3 RisposteGot some goodies out from farming (Jade, the Akhamara Grasps, Impossible Machines, and Telesto). I might do it if I feel lucky but for now it's not that efficient.

I got a few so yes. Also run poe to get more strange coins if you are low. Lvl 40 wreks a 28 btw
