THREE OF COINS RESULTS
Hey! Let's see what these are worth, post your results and let's see if we can determine the most efficient number of these to use at one time.
I bought thirty Three of Coins, ran the Cerberus Vae strike and received two exotic engrams. I had 15 active before each ultra (taken gatelord, final boss.) Engrams were both for special weapons. Turned into Fourth Horseman and the Hereafter. How did you fair?
Ran the 36 strike by the way
Edit: I did, in fact read the news. I know they said that each one is cumulative, but the item description says stackable. Stackable means you can stack them. The whole point of this post is to see what works out best. So if you used yours one at a time, what did you get? What was the exotic to coin ratio you achieved?
Edit 2: keep it coming guys, this is good information. I'm seeing a lot of people who use them one at a time, and get them on the third. Are there any others who have used on at a time and NOT gotten one after the fifth?
Edit 3: alright guys LOTS of good info here, it seems that the most common exotic to coin ratio when use one at a time is about 1:5

Conclusively, we all should be able to agree that Three of Coins is OP. So OP, that I think the nerf hammer of justice will be rather swift. I wouldn't be surprised if at some point Bungie takes these out of the game, or alters them so that actually stacking them into one use is what improves the chances, thus limiting the number of exotics players can achieve with minimum Strange Coin investment.
Basically, live it up now. This will end up being a "remember when." Happy farming, Guardians.

It's sad that people abuse the game just to get all the new weapons they want. Part of the DLC is the thrill of periodically getting a new exotic, not getting them all at once and bragging to everyone when in the end you hardly had any fun doing it while everyone who didn't do it have dignity and the excitement of a new exotic.

Used about 45, got about 15 or 16 exotics. About 6 helmets, 4 gloves, 3 primaries 2 secondaries...

Used 45 coins so far got suros 2.0, hereafter, 2x 4th horseman, gravitron, the new hunter ahamkara gloves, crest of alpha lupi, claws of ahamkara... I think that's it. I farmed the scourge of winter boss, it was super easy.

2 RisposteBought 30 "3 of coins" Used them one at a time. Out of them I got 5 exotics weapons. 1x new Suros 2x new Monte Carlo 1x Hereafter 1x Telesto So 1:6 in my case. Not too bad :)

Simple fix. Strikes, heroic strikes, nightfalls, heroic stories, and raids are the only place they can drop. You probably could just take them out of heroic stories too. So strikes and raids are the only place toc has any effect.

3 RispostePersonally as a day one player that has grinded for all of the year one exotics, materials to upgrade and time to level the gear up this makes me feel better about all of my year one gear being just about obsolete. So far drop rate has been one in five within the eye of the gate lord mission.

I bought 30 and have one left. I keep getting doubles of exotic armor and not a single weapon. If they nerf the drop rate I will never buy another.

I have spent about 100 strange coins on them today and I have gotten Taikonaut, mask of the third man, claws of ahamkara, light beyond nemesis, supercell, two invectives, hereafter, and fourth horseman all from 36 strikes

I bought a total of 50 coins and so far I have gotten 5 exotics so for me it has been about 1 in 5 as well.

Even though people seem to get 1 exotic every 5 coins (7 strange coins), it doesnt guarntee people are getting what they want. With the dropping of all exotics it leaves a small chance for someone getting something that they want. Example: I really want the Hawkmoon... Well there are (I think) 62 year 2 exotics in the game. So theoretically I would need to spend 310 three of coins at the 1:5 ratio, aka 434 strange coins to get my hawkmoon. That's an expensive hawkmoon.
