What Faction did you pick and why?
I'm undecided. I might go with New Monarchy just because it's the only one I've leveled thus far...
Edit:
Also, is there a major difference other than color of armor? They all seem pretty similar.

5 RisposteFWC. I like their beliefs. DO just wants to run and abandon the city, NM wants to set a dictatorship, and FWC wants to build up an army to fight the darkness. I'm siding with the side that will actually make a difference. Aka FWC

Anyhow, I chose fwc because I like their ideas on fighting for humanity's defense rather than running away or just trying to strait up rebuild without fortifying, so if there ever comes a day that the faction motives actually mean something, I'll be ready

I was originally FWC on my Warlock for the Intellect/Discipline and the ship. Yesterday when I had 150 legendary marks I was looking to buy light 280 gauntlets and boots. I was looking for scout rifle or pulse rifle reload speed on gauntlets and carry more sniper ammo on boots. That meant I needed to pledge Dead Orbit and buy them so for this week I'm DO. There are real differences in the perks and stats, especially since cooldowns are so dramatically affected now. However, perks for weapons trump int/dis/stre for me right now since I'm shooting way more than throwing grenades or popping supers in PvE.

Dead orbit. Been with em for a long time, ever since I found out there faction shaders(I'm rank 52 now, not much compared to a lot of people but still quite a bit). Honestly though we kinda got the short end of the stick in TTK, the weapons for the most part are just lacking in comparison to the others and the hunter armor is the worst of the three factions. The exotic cloak is sick af and so are the bond and mark(don't have those but I've seen someone with the bond and my friend has the mark). The new ship is ok, I actually like the BKR style of ship, but NM and FWC got way cooler ships. The new packages are so nice though, got the ship and the two shaders I didn't have in like two days lol. Revenant is kind of disappointing after 2.0 though, lot less black than before and the old guard shader is just straight up blacker.

I like Dead orbit for the shaders and some of their weapons. I like new monarchy for the new ship and their weapons lol.
