I JUST SAW A PLAYER IN THW tOWER WHO IS ALREADLY LEVEL 40; 9 HOURS AFTER RELASE OF TAKEN KING HOW HOW
All right, how is that player already level 40, it's been 9 hours since the Taken king was playable and already we got folks that have beaten it. That means this game has gotten toooo easy.

No I'm 40. It's just an XP based ranking system, turn in a full 14 bounties plus some patrol reward packages and ta da.... Level 40. The tricky part is getting to 260 light. I suggest opening your new subclass before turning in bounties then you'll get a head start into unlocking the skill tree too.

Level 40 means nothing. It's your armour/weapon stats which matter now

Bro there were people who were 40 less than a minute into the TTK. Bungie wanted us to be 40 quickly so that we can get tho all the content.

I did it in 30 seconds. I waited to get my subclass tho. I was level 40 with half my Sunbreaker leveled after a half hour

I only did the normal story missions before work and am a little sliver from being 40. More than enough experience from bounties and missions to reach 40 in the taken king.

It only takes 1/2 missions and 16 bounties, about half hour.

getting to level 40 is too easy but getting the right gear to participate in the other activities is another thing, im around light 237, tried doing that weekly heroic and my team mate left cause the strike we got put in was taniks lol

There were guardians at lvl 40, 9 mins after release... The light level is what really takes some grinding...

Just cause someone is level 40 doesn't matter it's all about how high your light is there are people out there that geared up for taken king before it came out stacking on bounties and exotic quest

I was lvl 40 an hour after release, and i didn't grind faction packages or bounties. Light level its all about now.

Got 2 to 40, and I worked a 10 hr shift today

I hit level 40 at 3am. Still haven't even beat the main TTK story quests(Stuck on Fear's Embrace in The Taken War: Mars), and have plenty of other side quests to do.

I could have hit 40when ttk released, but I waited until I had night stalker. Then I popped all my rdy quests and daily rewards, boom half way done with night stalker! And I didn't really out any effort in it.

If you were smart unlike all the 5 min retards. You would have used the bounties and shit, after you got the 3rd subclass. But i agree 40 should have taken much longer. But that would mean they had to add more content. And thats kinda impossible for bungie. Nevertheless its a good dlc compared to how which was utterly disgusting...

4 RisposteHad 16 bounties saved up, 2 faction packages, and 6 public event packages (each giving 5k xp a piece). I was 39 before leaving the tower.

Had full bounties upon logging in. All 3 of my characters were 40 in about 10 minutes.

I didn't try. Played the Story and finished some bounties. It just kinda happen.

The exotic class item helps level so much I didn't save up anything and hit 40 in 4 hours

Getting to 40 will be easy. Getting your light to the cap will be more difficult because of the accumulation. Rares being stronger than legendaries and such.
